So, watching Yu-Gi-Oh, occasionally random thoughts occour to you. Here's a list of some of the things that have popped into my head while sitting back and watching my Japanese DVDs -- you know, the ones with god-awful subtitles. It's the only way to go.
-I have seen Yuugi's mother! At least, I think it's his mom and not some random woman living with him and his grandfather. Still wondering why they cut her out of the dub -- mabye they did it 'cause she's taller than him and his Grandpa.
-Pegasus is drunk through the entire series. And for an American, his english phrases have a really heavy Japanese accent.
-Seeing Anzu's mouth move and hearing Malik's voice come out will give me nightmares for a long time.
-Seeing Bakura get run over by the boulder is the cutest thing ever.
-Bakura needs more character. Sukaigetsu was right. God-damned puppet! But he's sexy when in pain.
-Yami Bakura's sexy all the time.
-Malik alternates between sexy and scary.
-Otogi's sexy when he throws dice at people.
-2-dimensional characters should not be this hot.
-Dark Necrophia is cute! The entire occult deck is adorable! Must get occult plushies...
-Yami Bakura actually does rip into that steak in the anime; it's not just a fanart! Yami Bakura likes raw (or medium rare) steak, mweehehehe!
-The anime is really toned down from the manga. Sukaigetsu pointed some things out to me, and some things I noticed on my own. Like, why'd they replace those freaky little scorpions in Mai's hourglass with sand? She just sits there as the sand falls with this little "I'mma pass out now" look. I keep wondering if the sand'll fall into her mouth 'cause it's open.
-Yami Malik of YGO = Akio of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Don't ask; just accept it.
-Yami Malik = freaky. Very, very freaky. The chanting to summon Ra is really freaky, too. Much more successful at scaring Sam then the occult deck was. (The occult deck is still cute.)
-The God Card Osiris: giving a new meaning to the term "double chin."
-Jounouchi makes the strangest faces when he’s challenging Kaiba.
- Kaiba’s chin just gets bigger and bigger as the series goes on.
Quote from Sukaigetsu that raises a good question:
"How did Bakura go from this polite but kickass, 'I am also battling,' confrontation of his dark side to this whimpering little, 'It hurts!' boy?"
