Serena was walking home frome from school one day. She was a bit unhappy, because she was worried about what to say to her parents when they asked her how she had done on her most recent test. The grade wasn't exactly stellar, in fact, it was downright embarrasing. About halfway home, she stopped to reflect on her options. If she went home right away, she was likely to be punished, but delaying was just putting off the inevitable.
