Episode title: A Knight to Remember

"Ken!"

"Stay back Lita, careful!"

"What's happening, Ken?"

There was a large pink lion attacking Ken. It dove at Lita, and Ken got her out of the way. Upon landing, Ken fell over Lita, and onto the train tracks. The lion was about to get Lita, when Amy and Serena came out and scared the lion away. They couldn't help noticing a large transparent spinning wheel around the lion. Lita called out to her friends to help Ken. They brought him to the hospital.

At the hospital, the nurses said that they needed type O blood.

"My blood's type O!" Lita shouted.

"We have a volunteer!"

"Hurry!"

The music of Alan's flute echoed softly in the void where the Doom Tree was kept. The lion appeared to Alan. It was a Cardian. The wheel it had around itself began to spin quickly, and the energy that the lion had gotten from Ken was poured into the Doom Tree. The lion reverted to its card form, and Alan took it, and smiled fiendishly.

"Good card, Anne, it worked like a charm."

"But will our lives always be like this, surviving one day at a time?" Anne asked, "I don't like it, Alan."

"We're in no position to pick and choose my love, not with those pretty Sailor Scouts around."

"Pretty Scouts?" Anne recoiled. Alan cleared his throat.

"And formidable enemies. They outnumber us, remember?"

"Alan," Anne said, "on this planet, we can only trust each other."

"And," Alan continued, "never let anyone on this planet know who we really are. To them, you are just my sister."

"And you, my brother."

At the Intensive Care unit in the hospital, Lita was lying on a bed by Ken. He was undergoing a blood transfusion. Serena said,

"I could sing for you, Lita. But, I might make you feel worse."

Lita said that it was okay, and that Serena and Amy should go home and study. Amy said that she studied every day, so she never had to worry about being ready for exams.

"Just like me!" Serena said, "I never worry either. Get kind of different results, though. Maybe I should take some vitamins. Hey, I gotta try that."

"So, Lita," Amy began, "what's the story on you and Ken?"

"He's my best friend." Serena and Amy were taken aback.

"Your best..."

"...friend?"

"Yeah, ever since we were kids, he's always been there for me." Lita thought back to when she and Ken first met (BGM is "Rainy Day Man). Lita had gone to a park with her boyfriend on a rainy day. She had thought that it was romantic, but her boyfriend thought otherwise. It was there, that he broke up with the young Lita. He ran off into the rain, never to be seen again. Lita stood in the pour, and watched as her boyfriend left her life. It was the first time she was glad for rain. She could feel her back getting cold, and her hair getting wet, and then the rain stopped pouring on her. She looked over to see a young man smiling at her. His name was Ken. He had been there for Lita then, and was going to be there for her whenever she was in need.

"So, it's sounds like he feels the same way about you!" Serena said.

"I guess so. Yep!" was Lita's reply.

That evening, Serena was in her room drawing pictures. Luna told Serena that the Sailor Scouts were having a meeting the next day. She saw that Serena was drawing pictures, and all Serena could think about was getting Darien's memory back.

The next day at Raye's, the girls were trying to surmise who the new threat was. Raye thought that it could be the two aliens they had seen, and Lita hit one of the posts of the temple, and said that whomever it was, they would have to deal with her. Raye asked kindly that Lita not knock her house to the ground. Amy asked how Ken was, and Lita said that he couldn't even get out of bed. Then, the girls began to worry, as Serena was late.

Serena was doing her best. She was late again, but she was busy. She saw Anne, and she was talking to Darien. Anne asked Darien if he wanted to go to a laser disco, and Darien said that they were out of style. Anne was embarrassed. She suggested karaoke, and began to sing "Home on the Range". Darien got a headache, and Serena came, and shouted at Anne,

"Stop that! Noise Police, citizen's arrest!"

Darien smiled, and said,

"Hey, Meatball Head, glad to see ya!"

Serena wheeled around, and asked Darien if he remembered. Darien had a blank look on his face. Serena got out the pictures she had been drawing, and told him the story. She was showing each drawing that had made the story of the Moon Kingdom, about the times he saved her as Tuxedo Mask. Anne stopped her, and said,

"Pre-school's across the street." They argued about Darien being too sophisticated for the story, and when they looked for him, he was gone. Anne ran after him. Serena thought to herself, What if Anne is right? What if he doesn't remember, what if he falls for Anne?

A rose appeared in front of her. It was Alan, and he was offering them to her, in a display of his affection. He told her quite clearly, that he loved her. Serena was reaching for the roses, when she dropped her drawings. She scooped them up, and ran away. Alan looked, and smiled. He said that each time Serena runs away, his determination was only heightened.

Raye was at the temple, and was consulting the flame. She asked who the new evil was, and it showed her that it was the lion Cardian. Raye knew that the Sailor Scouts would be needed to do the job.

Serena arrived at the temple, and was almost suffocating. The Sailor Scouts came running from the temple, and Serena tried to get their attention. Sailor Mercury told Serena to transform, and she did.

"MOON PRISM POWER!!!!"

Sailor Moon ran with her team. The Sailor Scouts were running to the next suspected place that the Cardian was to appear. Sailor Jupiter had to stop. Sailor Moon ran up to her, and asked what was wrong. Jupiter said that all she needed was a little rest, and Sailor Moon said that she was still weak from giving all that blood. She told Sailor Jupiter that she should go home, and Jupiter said that she had to stop the Cardian from attacking someone else, as it had done to Ken. Sailor Moon reluctantly agreed, and told Jupiter to be careful. Jupiter ran to catch up, and Sailor Moon, tired of all the running, went as well.

The lion loomed over two people. The people were saved, for the Sailor Scouts appeared. Jupiter began to attack, but the lion blasted her. Mars had an idea.

"MARS FIREBALLS CHARGE!!!"

The lion watched intently as the small piece of paper flew towards it. It glared at the paper, and it was sliced, as if to be put through a paper shredder. Sailor Venus was about to attack, but was blasted. In the end, only Sailor Moon was left to fight. The lion blasted energy at her, but missed repeatedly. The lion was about to attack again, when a rose flashed down. It was not like the others that Sailor Moon had seen. But it must have been a sign that Tuxedo Mask was back. She looked up, and saw a man, but it wasn't Tuxedo Mask. He wore long flowing white robes, and had a sword in a scabbard on his side. His face was masked, and he wore a white turban. Though his face was masked, Sailor Moon could still see it. The person was Darien. Sailor Moon asked who he was.

"I am, the Moonlight Knight."

"The Moonlight Knight?" Sailor said, "Prince Darien?"

The lion attacked the Moonlight Knight, and he leapt into the air. Moonlight Knight took out the sword he had, and threw it at the wheel that always accompanied the lion, and it fell to the ground unconscious. Sailor Moon said,

"How can I thank you?"

"Your beautiful smile is thanks enough, Sailor Moon." He left. Sailor Moon said that the Moonlight Knight was much sweeter than Tuxedo Mask. Sailor Jupiter regained consciousness. She saw the lion get up, and warned Sailor Moon, but it was too late. The lion pounced on her, and swatted her. Sailor Moon was tackled, and looked at her predator. Sailor Jupiter got up. She looked at Sailor Moon. She remembered Sailor Moon's worried face when she told Jupiter to go home and rest. She remembered Ken, in the hospital.

"I'll never forgive for what you've done!" Jupiter said angrily.

"GUARDIAN JUPITER, BRING STORM CLOUDS, BOLTS OF LIGHTNING, WIND AND FIRE!!! JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!!!!!"

The force of the lightning hit the lion, and it couldn't hold its state anymore. The lion died, and returned to its card form. The Sailor Scouts got up, and Mars said,

"Did we miss all the fun?"

At the hospital, Lita, Serena, and Amy watched as Ken was going home.

"Aren't you going to his welcome home bash, huh Lita?" Serena asked.

"No. You know how Ken was always watching over me? Well, today, I'm going to watch over him."

Serena was in her room, in deep thought. That's really something between Lita and Ken. It makes me wonder, can a boy and a girl really be just friends? Oh, the Moonlight Knight! He must be Prince Darien! But where did he come from? And why is he here? I just don't get it.

Luna brought Serena back to reality.

"Oh, yoo hoo! Remember this book, Serena? It's called mathematics, and you have a very big test tomorrow!"

Serena remembered.

"Math's too hard! It's about as easy as figuring out Tuxedo Mask and the Moonlight Knight! Can't do it!"
