Sailor Moon episode 44

"You were supposed to go with Sammy and your dad today! Come on, they left hours ago!" Serena's mother gave up, and Serena tried to awaken. She succeeded in putting her head down on her pillow.

Meanwhile, Alan and Anne were looking at the Doom Tree. They saw that its leaves were wilting, and the tree was dying. Alan said,

"I don't know what to do, except feed it more energy." Anne said that if the Doom Tree died, then they would die too. Alan and Anne left the room, and went back into their apartment. Alan was looking at a small advertisement, and thought that the place in the ad would be a good spot to collect energy: A Virtual Reality theater.

The lineup was almost impossible. It went all the way across the street from the door, and Serena saw.

"Wow! Look at all the people lined up for the Virtuous Reality theater."

"No, Serena." Luna said, draped over Serena's shoulder. "That's Virtual Reality theater." Serena said that she didn't want to play war games, or race car games, or anything that Sammy liked. The line was long, and Serena wanted to go home. Serena thought that it would just be war games. Luna said,

"Sharpen your fighting skills! I mean, klutzing out and screaming just doesn't make it against the Negaverse." Serena knew that Luna was in a dangerous and vulnerable position, so she let Luna off the hook that time. She said that if Darien were there, it would be a different story. Serena yanked Luna off her shoulder, and held the cat out in front of her.

"So bet you've known all along how to get his memory back, haven't you?" Serena said. A voice said,

"Leave the poor cat alone." It was Darien. "Just because you don't have a boyfriend, that doesn't mean you can pick on the poor cat, Meatball Head." Darien left, and Serena looked as did. She saw that Darien was alone.

"Wait a minute." She said to herself. "You're here on your own too, so that must mean I still have a chance! Oh, I'll get you yet." She rolled up her sleeves. "Stand back girls! I've got a guy to catch!"

If only she'd use that same gumption to fight the Negaverse. Luna thought. She sighed.

At the door, the doorman was trying to get Alan to stay in line. Alan, however, didn't want to wait in line. Using his powers, he swayed the door man, and heard a loud slap. He turned to see a guy in pain, and Anne was standing in front of him. Darien also saw, and said to the guy,

"Hey pal, what's your problem?"

"What's it to you?" The guy retorted. He walked up to Darien, and tried to stare him down. Darien was unafraid, and stood poised over the guy. He looked at Darien for a second, then ran away. Anne leapt onto Darien's arm, and said,

"You saved me from that horrid slug! How can I ever repay you? I know! I'll take you to the Virtual Reality Theater, okay?" Suddenly, Serena appeared, intent on capturing Darien's heart. Alan came too, and saw Anne on Darien's arm. Anne said,

"Oh, hi Alan. Darien and I are going to the Virtual Reality Theater together. Isn't that cool?" Darien hesitated, and Serena said,

"Well then, take a hike Anne, cause Darien's going with me! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

Alan reminded Anne that they were there for energy, and Anne said,

"This is the perfect cover for your plan!" Like Anne had in the past with him, Alan knew exactly what Anne was up to. Meanwhile, Luna was not exactly thrilled with Serena. She looked up, and saw some people.

"The sensible ones!" She said. It was Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina.

Serena, Anne, and Darien were inside the Virtual Reality Theater, and were sitting in a cart. Before them was a huge screen, and it simulated a city flying by. All around the room they were in were carts, and there was even one in front of them. Serena and Anne began to argue, and Serena's father, who was sitting in the cart in front of them with Sammy, heard them. He turned, and saw Serena. Serena said to Sammy,

"You're way too young for this!" Sammy turned around, and began to play the game. He shot at a monster, and the cart that Serena Anne and Darien were in began to shake violently. Serena fell out, and into Alan's arms.

"What's this, Alan?" Anne said. Alan said nervously,

"I uh, just caught her?"

"Yes!" Serena said. "I just dropped in for a visit!"

Outside, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina were waiting to get into the theater.

"A handsome young superhero, Super Sammy! I'll punish you in the name of the Moon!"

Sammy and his father were walking through a simulated cavern in the theater, and some monsters appeared. Sammy and his dad blasted them, and Sammy said,

"Good move, dad!"

"Thanks, Sammy!" His father replied. He thought, I hope Serena's okay.

Meanwhile, Alan, Anne, Darien and Serena were in another part of the theater, and Anne shot a monster. She grabbed onto both Alan and Darien, yelling,

"Am I hot, or am I hot? Nya nya nya!"

Serena looked up, and saw her father appear behind a corner. She sighed.

"Just my luck." Serena said. "Why did dad and Sammy have to be here?"

Anne told Alan to lighten up. Alan was insanely jealous, as his only love was draped all over a mere human. Darien turned around to shoot a monster that had appeared, but by the time he had his laser gun ready, the monster was blasted. Darien looked to see Alan smiling. More monsters appeared, and in pure competition, Alan and Darien began to blast them all. When they were all gone, Serena was primed to shoot a monster. A monster appeared, and Serena fired and missed. Anne commented, sarcastically, on Serena's ability. Serena said,

"Well, who wants to play silly war games, anyway?" Serena and Anne began to argue, and a monster appeared, scaring both Anne and Serena. Darien shot it, and Anne leapt onto Darien's arm. She said,

"I could stay on your arms forever."

"Sorry." Darien said, pushing Anne away. "But that's not happening. Some guys might go for pushy girls, but it sure isn't my style." Serena was patting Darien on the shoulder, saying,

"Woah! That's telling her, Darien!" Then, another monster appeared behind Serena, and she ran off. Darien ran after her. Anne looked at the monster, and shot it. However, the monster was not hit with a laser gun. It was hit with energy projected from Anne. She said,

"I can play that game too. Right." Alan glared at her. Anne, realizing what it was Alan was glaring about, partially collapsed on Alan's shoulder, and said,

"I'm so drained. I never realized I had so little strength."

"So," Alan began, "you're finally ready to get to work, Anne."

"Sure am, Alan!"

Outside, Amy, Raye, Lita, and Mina were still waiting.

Inside, Alan and Anne had reverted to their original forms, and Anne was given the choice of a Cardian. She chose Cardian Nackree. Meanwhile, Sammy and his dad were exploring the caverns, and heard some screaming. They went to investigate, and found the Cardian draining a large crowd of people. The Cardian was huge and green, and had tentacles coming out of her head.

Meanwhile, Serena was shooting at all the monsters she could, but to no avail. Darien hit them all easily, and grabbed Serena by the hand saying,

"Time to go, Meatball Head!" Serena ran with Darien. He had her hand in his, and she imagined she was with Tuxedo Mask. She seemed to be flying, and then another grabbed her other arm. It was the Moonlight Knight, and Serena was in heaven. Suddenly, she came around to reality, and realized that it wasn't the Moonlight Knight that had grabbed her arm. It was Sammy.

"Sammy!" Serena yelled. "Why can't you be a virtual brother like these monsters!?" Sammy was panicking. He told Serena and Darien about the monster that had gotten his father, and Darien said that he would help. Sammy told Serena to stay put.

"It's kind of a guy thing." Sammy and Darien ran off, and Serena said to herself,

"A guy thing? It sounds like it might be more of a Scouts thing!"

Outside, Raye noticed that they were almost in.

Nackree attacked Serena's father. Darien and Sammy came, and before Nackree could hit Serena's father, Darien through his pack at the Cardian. Serena's father told Sammy to run. Darien got ready for the fight, and Sammy began to back off. Nackree was about to attack Darien and Sammy, when Serena's father hurled a fire extinguisher at the Cardian. Suddenly, Serena's father was very brave, and challenged the monster. As Nackree began to attack, Serena's father shot a powerful blast from the fire extinguisher he was holding. Without warning, Nackree emerged from the fog, and scared him. Below, Nackree's tentacles reached out and grabbed him, as well as Sammy and Darien.

"MOON PRISM POWER!!!"

Nackree threw the three people into a wall. Darien was the first to get up. Anne said to Nackree,

"Don't be so rough, I like this guy."

Darien challenged Nackree. Anne said,

"You don't wanna mess with her!"

"Sure I do!" Darien said, dodging Nackree's attack.

"Think I'll crash this party!" A voice rang out. It was Sailor Moon. "Someone needs to take the garbage out around here." She said. "We seem to be developing a problem with bugs!" Anne yelled,

"It's time to sing your swan song, Sailor Moon! Nackree's tentacles will finish you off!" Sailor Moon's only response was,

"MOON TIARA MAGIC!!!"

The Tiara did not hit anything. It simply fell to the ground, and Sailor Moon was afraid. Nackree attacked, but something made her stop. It was a white rose. Darien, and Sailor Moon looked up. Standing there was the Moonlight Knight. Sailor Moon realized something. Darien was the Moonlight Knight, but they were both in the same room. Sailor Moon didn't know what to believe. The Moonlight Knight attacked Nackree, while Nackree whipped her tentacles at the Moonlight Knight. There was a bright flash, and the Moonlight Knight landed on the ground. He had his sword unsheathed, and he slowly put it back in its sheath. Then, the tentacles on Nackree's head fell to the floor. What the Moonlight Knight didn't see were the tentacles from the other parts of Nackree's body, and they grabbed him. Without a warning, saviors came.

"MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!!!"

Nackree was surrounded by fog.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!!"

The tentacles were burned off, and the Moonlight Knight was freed. Sailor Moon was glad the Sailor Scouts were there. She said,

"You won't believe what happened. My tiara doesn't work anymore!"

"You tiara broken?" Luna said. "That's impossible!"

Sailor Venus handed the tiara to Sailor Moon, and Sailor Moon thanked Venus. Then, Venus turned around.

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!"

Nackree was destroyed. Like the other Cardians before her, she reverted to a card. Alan and Anne had no choice. They left. The Moonlight Knight looked down on the Sailor Scouts, and told them that their greatest strength was in their friendship. Darien walked up to the Sailor Scouts, and asked who they were. Darien heard a crowd of people, and looked to see. When he looked back to where the Sailor Scouts were, they were gone.

Sammy yelled in pain as his mother tried to disinfect his wounds.

"Who would've thought we'd get hurt in a VR game?" Serena's father asked. Serena was sitting with Luna on a foot stool. She knew now that the Moonlight Knight and Darien weren't the same person. She said quietly to Luna,

"What is there left to believe in?"

Luna told Serena to believe. Only then, would everything work out.
