Sailor Moon episode 36

"Aren't they for over-the-edge wackos?"

Sammy was sitting beside her in the back seat of the car, and was playing a video game. Serena, hating it, tried to take it away, and the two fought. The fighting stopped when Serena dropped her locket, and went to catch the tiny golden star. Sammy went back to playing his game, and Serena's dad, who was driving the car, asked if she had gotten it from a boy. She thought to herself, and said slyly,

"Yeah, you could say that."

Serena's dad went out of control. He swerved the car all over the road, and looking at Serena, said,

"You're going out with some boy, and you haven't even told us?!"

Serena said that he had gotten it wrong, and Serena's mother told the father of the family that maybe she got it from Melvin.

"There's a boy for you, Serena!" He laughed. They came up to the resort, and saw that it was beautiful.

Serena was amazed by the view of the lake that they had come to, and Sammy asked where the arcade was. Serena's father and mother went into nostalgia, as this had been the place where they had first met. Serena looked out on the lake, and she was feeling something strong in her heart. Suddenly, the locket began to play, and Serena was reminded of Darien. She looked out to the lake. Her mother came to get her, and led her to the inn to check in.

A wind swept over the lake, and meanwhile, beneath its shadowy surface, something began to stir...

In the Negaverse, Beryl was holding a conference between her, Prince Darien, and Malachite.

"So you've detected powerful energy emissions coming from this lake?" Beryl said.

Malachite said that the energy was very strong and evil, but it was very different from their own. Beryl told Prince Darien to go and see what was going on. When Prince Darien left, Malachite said that Prince Darien hadn't been himself. He inquired about the possibility of his memories returning, and Beryl sent Malachite to watch over Darien, in the case that he might regain all of his memories.

Serena looked at the view from the hot spring, and it was something else. Sammy didn't want to go in, because it smelled weird.

"That's just the sulfur in the water!" Serena's father said. Her mother continued,

"It's not so bad smelling like rotten eggs!"

Serena came behind Sammy, and pushed him in. She dunked him in the water, and Sammy leapt up, and took Serena's towel. Serena screamed at Sammy.

"Serena, lower the decibels!" Her mother said.

Serena got her towel back when Sammy stopped to look at the view. He saw a form down below. Serena looked, and saw that it was Darien. She ran to go to him.

Serena ran to the lake. She saw a silhouette, and ran to it. When she got to it, it was only a statue. Her feelings welled up again, and the locket began to play. She took it out, and looked at it while its gentle song touched her heart. Darien came up behind her, and said that the music was familiar. Serena's reply was,

"Come on, wake up Darien. It's me, Serena."

The Prince had no recollection of anyone named Serena. Who was Darien? Not a reference to him? It was then that Serena's mother came to get her. Serena looked over to her mother, and when she looked back to see Darien, he was gone. Serena's mother came up to her, and asked if she was all right. She saw the statue that Serena had run to, and recalled the legend.

"There was a young man who fell in love with a Water Sprite who lived in the lake. But there was a girl from his town who also loved him, and when she saw them together, she became so jealous, she turned into a monster and attacked everything in sight. The only way the young man and the Water Sprite could stop her, was by harnessing the power of their love to seal her beneath the lake."

The monster was doomed to be miserable forever. Serena sneezed, and the two went in. Serena's mother said that she should bring home any boys that she meets. Serena said that she would. Someday...

Meanwhile, Prince Darien had been listening, and thought about the legend. Malachite appeared, and watched. Darien stood by the lake, and used his Negaverse powers to wake it. The lake became disturbed, and a pillar of light rose from the center. It was then that a serpent-like monster arose from the lake. It refused to obey him, and attacked. It missed. It began to look for its one true target: The Water Sprite. Darien was afraid of the monster. Malachite looked on and laughed.

"Poor Prince Darien! Looks like he dredged up a lot more than he could handle!"

The monster looked at Darien, then rose into the air, and searched for the Sprite. It saw Serena, and went to get her for what the Water Sprite had done. Darien watched as the monster flew away, and yelled,

"Where are you going?"

Serena heard something, and turned around. She could see nothing. She could feel Darien's presence. Her dad asked her if something was wrong, and Serena said that she was looking at the Moon. Serena went to go in. Her family didn't quite get her.

Serena was running to go in, and she was attacked by the monster that had risen from the lake. Serena was afraid, and her mother called her over, to get her away from the monster. Serena ran over, and the family ran. The monster attacked, but missed. Serena was about to stand up to the monster, and so did her dad. He backed off at a growl, and was pinned against a tree. Serena had no choice.

"MOON..."

Then, a rose flashed down, and the monster was halted. Tuxedo Mask had come to save Serena. Serena had hoped that Tuxedo Mask was there to help, and the monster attacked Tuxedo Mask. She missed, and the family ran. Serena wished that she could help Tuxedo Mask. While he was descending, he was hit, and fell to the ground. The monster went in for the kill, but was stopped, by the voice of Sailor Venus. The Sailor Scouts appeared. Sammy said that they were going to waste the monster, and Serena said,

"Not without me, they won't!"

Sailor Mercury went to the offensive.

"MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!!!"

The fog came, and Serena told her family where to run, but didn't go with them. When her family was out of sight, she went to heal the woman who had become so jealous and angry.

"MOON PRISM POWER!!!"

Sailor Moon appeared. She said to the monster,

"How dare you mess with my family! There's no way I'm going to let you hurt the people I really love! On behalf of the Moon, I'll punish you!"

Sailor Moon saw Tuxedo Mask. The monster attacked Sailor Moon, and missed. The Sailor Scouts went to her aid.

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!"

The Crescent Beam and the Thunder Crash combined, and the monster was vaporized. However, her jealousy was strong ,and the monster simply reformed.

"Looks like we didn't get her so good after all." Venus said.

The monster was about to attack, when Sailor Moon came and hit it.

"MOON TIARA MAGIC!!"

The monster was vaporized again, but again it reformed. Sailor Moon yelled,

"I've had it with this Nega-monster! She's supposed to be dust!"

Sailor Mars could sense that the monster was evil and very powerful, but was not from the Negaverse. Tuxedo Mask revealed that he released the monster, and said that he had to get them out of the mess. Sailor Mars said that evil was her department, and hit the monster.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!"

The monster was engulfed in flames, and Sailor Moon finished the job.

"MOON HEALING ACTIVATION!!"

The monster was transformed. In her place, was a small beautiful woman. She began to rise into the sky. She said,

"I'm myself again. Oh, thank you!"

Sailor Mars looked at the woman and said,

"Finally, she's rid of all that jealousy. Totally amazing! Isn't she pretty?"

"Beautiful" Sailor Moon replied.

The woman rose into the heavens. She thanked the Sailor Scouts, and looked to see Darien. She could still sense the goodness in his heart, though he was now a lost soul. She waved good-bye to him , and he wished her luck. The woman rose into the stars, and joined the young man and the Water Sprite. Tuxedo Mask left, and Sailor Moon didn't understand him. Neither did Malachite.

The family was looking for Serena, and Sammy said that he should've been nicer to her. Serena appeared, saying,

"That's the truth!"

The family was reunited. She hugged her mother, and was thankful for her family.

In the hot springs, Serena was thinking to herself that she had great friends, even if they did fight. Lita brought her to Earth, and asked what she was thinking about. Serena said that she hoped that she wouldn't be turned into a monster. Amy and Raye said that they would make sure of that, and Mina said, that just in case, she should take a dunk in the hot springs. Water splashed around as Serena was dunked by her friends.
