Sailor Moon episode 39

For the Sailor Scouts, the tunnel that they had gone into was a trap. A cold mist floated into the cave, and revealed in a flash of light, Malachite. He had thought that the Sailor Scouts were there to give him the Imperium Silver Crystal. Jupiter told him in her own way, that was not on the agenda.

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!"

Malachite teleported out of the way as the blast of lightning struck a cavern. He was very angry, and shouted,

"Sailor Moon, let's make a deal! You give me that crystal, and I won't douse your friends!"

The Sailor Scouts jumped to Sailor Moon's defense. She shouted to Malachite that the entire Negaverse was going to be dust.

"Empty threats, Sailor Moon!" Malachite said.

"We wasted Queen Serenity, and we'll do the same to you!"

Sailor Moon stopped. How could he know about Queen Serenity. It was because he was there on the day that the Moon Kingdom was destroyed. He had to be lying. Serenity wouldn't have sent them into the future with their enemies. She shouted again, that the Negaverse was not going to get the crystal. Malachite took the liberty of blasting them, and it was so strong that Sailor Moon lost hold of her wand. Malachite went to get it, but the Crescent Moon Wand turned on a defense, and Malachite couldn't touch it. The Imperium Silver Crystal, which had been attached to the wand, flashed, and all the Sailor Scouts were drawn into a vortex. Malachite was unable to get the wand, because it transported itself to the Moon.

The Sailor Scouts were unconscious. Sailor Moon was the first to wake up. The place around her seemed familiar.

"That's because it's your home, Serena." the gentle voice rang out behind her. Sailor Moon turned around, and saw a small ball of light. She asked it how it knew her name, and the ball revealed a very small Queen Serenity. She said that she wasn't surprised Serena hadn't remembered her, because that's how she had arranged it to be.

"You mean, we're back on the Moon?" Sailor Moon said. Serenity said yes, and it was not a dream. Serenity said that since they had found their way to the Moon, she would take them to the final days of the Moon Kingdom. In a flash of light, everything around the Sailor Scouts was gone. Queen Serenity told the story.

"I'm sure Luna told you about the Silver Millennium, when all the planets were at peace. The whole universe was a happy place, and the Moon Kingdom was the happiest place of all. There were fireworks and parties every night, and dancing and laughing. I raised you to follow in my footsteps and rule the Moon. But most of the time, you spent staring at the Earth, for you'd fallen in love with a young man from there."

Prince Darien stood before Princess Serena at her palace.

"Serena!" He called.

"Darien, you are here."

Prince Darien had bad news for the Princess. He had to fight an evil force on Earth. Princess Serena knew that her love must go. He said that it might be too late. He said that Beryl, the ruler of the evil forces on Earth, was very strong. Then, palace guards came, and Prince Darien had to leave. Serena thought that they suspected everyone from Earth.

Luna and Artemis, after the Sailor Scouts had been drawn into the crystal, found light at the end of a tunnel. They got out, and saw a bleak, cold wasteland.

In the Crystal, the story continued. Princess Serena was going to the palace ball alone, but at the steps, was greeted by Prince Darien in a tuxedo and a mask. He asked to dance, and they danced. Serena said that she was glad he was back, and Darien told her that it would all change. Beryl was very strong, and very dangerous. The whole Universe was in danger.

"Even the Moon?" Serena asked.

"Especially the Moon." Darien replied. The two danced. Beryl would have to destroy the Moon to take over the universe. Luckily though, Queen Serenity had asked Darien to stay and fight. Later that evening, Serena and Darien were on the balcony. Serena couldn't believe what was happening.

"Queen Beryl's relentless, and will destroy absolutely everything until she gets exactly what she wants. I'll fight as hard as I can, but you must know, I might not come back." Darien looked into Serena's eyes. "I hope you know how much you mean to me."

"I do."

The two kissed. Serena closed her eyes, but couldn't hold back the tears. She cried.

The horizon of the Moon darkened, as a cloud of evil approached. It was Beryl's forces. Luna and Artemis ran through the dance hall, and told everyone to get ready. Beryl was on her way. Outside the castle, a large black figure, that looked like the Seven Shadows, loomed over the Moon. It was the evil being known as the Negaforce. It charged up its power, and released it on the tiny Moon Kingdom. The Kingdom was almost completely destroyed. Towers fell, people died, and heroes stepped up to defend the Kingdom.

"MERCURY BUBBLES BLAST!!!"

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!"

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!"

The powers hit the Negaforce, but were simply absorbed. It charged up again, and blasted the Sailor Scouts. They all fell to the ground, dead. Meanwhile, Beryl appeared to watch the Moon Kingdom fall.

"Soon, the entire universe will be mine! I'll have Queen Serenity begging for mercy!"

Beryl's army came, and was headed by four generals: Malachite, Zoicite, Nephlite, and Jedite. Malachite laughed at the destruction. The Moon Kingdom continued to fall to the ground, and the Negaforce let out a mighty roar. Beryl appeared over Princess Serena. She dove at the Princess, and just as she was about to hit her, a rose flew in, and stopped her. It was Prince Darien. Beryl said that he should come and join the dark forces. He replied,

"Why would I want to join forces with a snake like you, all twisted and ugly and full of bitterness."

Beryl was angry, and the Negaforce blasted the palace, ripping it to shreds. Darien was pulled away from the Princess, and he told her to run.

"No Darien, I want to be with you!"

Serena ran to Darien, and was lifted as well. They joined hands, and the Negaforce blasted them. The two floated upwards. Queen Serenity ran out, and saw that Beryl had taken them both. Princess Serena of the Moon Kingdom, and Prince Darien of the Earth were dead. Serenity couldn't let it end this way. She got out the Crescent Moon Wand, and the Imperium Silver Crystal, and put them together. She knew that if she used it, she wouldn't have any power left. It was the only way. Queen Serenity invoked the full power of the Moon.

"COSMIC MOON POWER!!!!!!!!!!"

The powers of the Queen erupted in Beryl's forces. The Negaforce, Beryl, and all the children of the Moon were trapped in the power of the Crystal.

Meanwhile, in the Arctic, Luna and Artemis found an entrance. They turned back to tell the Sailor Scouts, but were stopped by Malachite.

On the Moon, Luna congratulated Serenity, who was lying weakly on a fallen pillar. She said that she had to send them to the future. She had enough power to send them to the future, but they wouldn't remember anything. She would never see her daughter again. Her voice began to get weak. She used the power of the Crystal, and sent all the people of the Moon to the future, on Earth. She said her last words.

"On behalf of the Moon, you will be free." Serenity looked one last time, and died. the wand fell to the ground, and Luna and Artemis were put into containers. They too, were destined for the future. The war was over, but at an incredible cost. Queen Beryl had sought her goal relentlessly, and it was achieved. Queen Beryl of the Negaverse destroyed an entire civilization.

The Sailor Scouts fell out of the vortex that the crystal had drawn them into.

The Sailor Scouts appeared in the cave. Sailor Moon cried, and said,

"She saved all of us."

"She sure did." Jupiter said, sobbing.

"She's the reason we're here." Venus stated.

"What about Beryl?" Mars asked, "that sleaze queen, she's definitely going down!"

"Right!" Mercury replied.

Sailor Moon was hugging her wand, the last memory of her mother. They had to be strong. Suddenly, they heard two screams. The voices were Luna and Artemis. Malachite was attacking them. He blasted them, and the Sailor Scouts came to aid.

"This is low, even for slime like you!" Sailor Moon said. Malachite said that he couldn't be blamed, because Luna and Artemis were the ones who had trained them to be so annoying. The Sailor Scouts went to the defensive. Malachite released a mist into the cave, and it became black. Malachite then created two pink energy boomerangs, and threw them. The boomerangs flew around Sailor Moon, and sliced her clothing. She fell, temporarily unconscious. Mercury noticed that he was much stronger, and Mars said that they had to defend the Crystal. Malachite attacked, and the boomerangs sliced them. Their bravery won over though, and none of them fell to the ground. Sailor Moon recovered, and Venus had an idea.

"VENUS POWER!!!"

The other Sailor Scouts followed her example.

"MERCURY POWER!!"

"MARS POWER!!"

"JUPITER POWER!!!"

A great pillar of energy rose from the ground, and Sailor Moon was protected. Malachite could see nothing impressive, and he threw his boomerangs again. This time, the power drain of invoking all that power got to the Sailor Scouts, and they began to fall. Sailor Moon grew angry. She walked out of the pillar, and got out her wand. She held it high above her head, and shouted as her mother had.

"COSMIC MOON POWER!!!"

The power of the Moon was used again, and Malachite was almost embarrassed. Sailor Moon's magic was coming out of her, as she was sparkling. Malachite did not intend to admit defeat. He attacked again with the boomerang, and Sailor Moon deflected it. Malachite tried to block it, but the force of it sunk the boomerang into his skin. He was losing strength. He called out to Zoicite one last time, and his body evaporated. Sailor Moon stopped sparkling, and Luna congratulated her.

"What were you thinking, going against him?" Sailor Moon scolded. Luna said that it wasn't her choice, and told them that they found a base in the northern latitudes. Artemis said that it was time to put Beryl away for good. Sailor Moon turned to her friends, and said,

"What do you say?"

"Trash her!"

Sailor Moon was sure of herself.

"Beryl's about to meet her match! Sailor Scouts!"
