Episode title: Dreams Take Flight

Original American Airdate: 9/27/2000

"The Forest is weeping...."

The voice of someone in a dream called out to the dreamer. Ah, the chance to meet this one... that he might be protected... a Pegasus, by no name, calls out to the sleeping dreamer.

What a strange moon Rini thought to herself as she ran down the street that night. Where she was running was unclear, but the voice calling to her was reason enough to go. She ran into a forest, swimming with vibrant colors. Crystalline plants protruded from the colorful ground. Out in the middle of a large pond, stood a pegasus. The gallant looking horse stared at her. Rini crawled closer to touch the magestic being. As she reached out, her pajamas were replaced by her princess dress and crescent moon. In that instant though, the pegasus was gone. Rini was alone. Rini looked around for the being she had seen.

"Please..." A voice said to her gently and softly. "Don't tell anyone we met."

Rini turned to find the voice, but it was gone...

"Hey! Sleepy head! Wake up!" Serena shouted. Rini seemed awake, but in a tired trance. Serena picked her up and took her to meet the other girls.

"Should you be skipping work now, Andrew?" Lita asked. She, Andrew, Mina, Rini, Elizabeth, Serena, Amy and Raye were together in a large park awaiting the beginning of a great event.

"Sure. The arcade can't compare to this way cool event." Andrew replied. Lita laughed.

"Yeah, cause we're waiting for something that only comes once in a few hundred years." Mina said.

"The sun, the moon, and the earth will all line up." Amy said, flipping through the pages of a book she had on the subject. "You won't be able to see the sun, because it will be hiding behind the moon."

"When the sun is completely hidden behind the moon like today, we call it a solar eclipse." Elizabeth said to Rini.

"Yeah!" Serena said, trying to sound ominous. "The bright sun is hidden away by the moon! And, it gets really really dark! It's spooky, and scary, and you never know what's gonna happen!"

"Serena," Raye said with a stern look, "why do you tell Rini scary stories?"

"Don't bother, Raye." Rini said. "I don't pay attention to most of the things Serena says anyways."

Serena was understandably upset, and told Rini to say whatever it was she had to say. She looked at Raye and asked if she'd said something wrong. For whatever reason, Raye and the cats were stunned by Serena's tone.

"Do you believe in scary things?" Raye asked. Rini just sighed as Serena and Raye did their own thing.

A lot of time had passed. The girls still sat waiting for the eclipse to start. As Rini stared at the sky, her thoughts wandered to the pegasus she had seen in her dreams.

"Hey, whatcha thinkin'?" Elizabeth asked. Rini snapped out of her trance. "Are you daydreaming? Are you worried about something? Ah ha! I wonder... are you thinking about someone you've met? Listen, you shouldn't do anything that would upset your mom and dad."

Serena and Darien exchanged glances between each other and Rini.

"You should talk." Andrew quipped.

"What do you mean?" Asked Elizabeth.

"Mom's been worried sick about you, because you've been coming home late these days." Andrew replied.

"Oh, mind your own business!" Elizabeth replied. The girls all started to crowd around her, but Darien told them the eclipse was starting. Everyone got their appropriate watching lenses ready to view the event. Some wore special glasses, while others used small tinted plates of glass to see properly.

Everyone in Tokyo, and possibly the world watched as the sun was obscured by the moon. Darkness enveloped the earth. Serena thought of how calm the darkness was.

Elsewhere, lightning flashed in the sky, and no one noticed. A large object, shaped like a circus tent, descended towards the earth.

When the eclipse was over, everyone was going home. Of everyone in the park who was leaving, Serena was the only one who noticed a large tent poised in the middle of the city. She ran to catch up to her friends who were leaving without her.

What perhaps was as odd as the tent being there, were the happenings going on inside the tent. Large arrays of creatures and masks laughed and giggled, and played.

"They haven't noticed! They haven't noticed! They haven't noticed! People in this city don't notice anything!"

"They don't even stop to notice they act like dogs!"

"They don't even stop to notice their kids are monkeys!"

"The whole city is full of dogs and little apes!"

"Even if a circus tent appears..."

"... in the middle of the city, out of the blue..."

"... these people don't even notice it at all!"

"Why? Why? Why? Why? Why?"

"I wonder why."

"They're the kind of people who only care about what's happening in their own little lives."

"So then..."

"... even if the whole world collapses at their feet..."

"... even if a tent appears suddenly in the middle of their city..."

"... the people around here would never notice at all!"

The monsters continued to laugh and play at the earth's expense.

"Quiet!" A raspy voice shouted. "Quiet!" The entire tent was silent in a second. At one part of the tent was a large green elephant statue. Its trunk curved upwards, and it beheld a large capsule. While the capsule only had a top and bottom, there was no encasement, glass, magic, or otherwise. A loud plume of smoke erupted from the so-called capsule, and a robed figure appeared. Its face was hideously aged, and the skin tone was that of a corpse. The figure held a staff, which sported a living eyeball-like creature as its charm. From the eyeball still, a small tongue of fire emanated from it.

"Good. Now..." The figure said. The eyeball quickly glanced around the room. "At last." The figure continued. "The time has come for us to conquer and rule this world. Amazon Trio? Are you there?"

A ring of fire formed below the elephant statue, and from it emerged a blond haired man.

"Tiger's Eye. Present." The man said.

A ring of water formed, and from it emerged a woman.

"Fish Eye. Present." She said.

A ring of earth power formed, and another man came from it.

"Hawk's Eye. Present." He said.

"At your service, Master Zirconia." The three recited to the figure on the statue.

"Very good." Zirconia said. "Listen. The good one must have taken refuge here. We have to find him and capture him before we can rule this world. Now, Amazon Trio, I want you to go out there and take care of it. The first thing you have to do, is find the one who has beautiful dreams."

"Only beautiful dreams, Master Zirconia?" Fish Eye asked.

"Yes." Zirconia replied. "Beautiful dreams. He cannot inhabit this reality. He cannot live very long in this world. He would quickly lose his energy and die. There is only one way he can exist in this world."

"What's that?" The Trio asked. Zirconia replied,

"By hiding and living inside some person's beautiful dream."

"I understand." Tiger's Eye said.

"He's already found a dream to hide in?" Asked Hawk's Eye. "He's here, but he's found someone who dreams beautiful dreams, Master Zirconia?"

"You're so correct!" Zirconia shouted, scaring the creature on his staff. "The world is big and full of people. But only a few of them can have beautiful dreams. Someone must have seen him by now, I'm sure. So, you must go out and find him, and bring him to me!"

The Trio bowed to their master, and retired to an odd looking place of their own. It looked like the counter of a pub, and the Trio sat on their seats, looking at pictures of girls on the counter. Hawk's Eye suggested a girl, but Tiger's Eye didn't think she'd be the one. They continued to scan the myriad of pictures.

"Best of all, they're easy on the eyes." Tiger's Eye said. "They're all attractive."

"Don't forget what we're supposed to be doing here." Hawk's Eye warned. "We're supposed to be looking for the one who has beautiful dreams, not face."

"What do you mean? They're all so pretty." Fish Eye said. "I can't believe your taste, Tiger's Eye."

"You can't understand my taste, because yours is different than mine." Tiger's Eye replied. He picked up a picture, and thought the girl in it was perfect. Hawk's Eye asked him if he had a plan, and Tiger's Eye had the perfect one. The girl in the picture was Elizabeth.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth was serving drinks to Serena and Rini. Serena asked how things were with the "boy" Andrew had been talking about.

"Serena, Rini is listening!" Elizabeth said.

"Oh! Not in front of Rini! So it's like that, is it?" Serena said, grinningly. Elizabeth told Serena to stop. Rini had a hold of the locket around Elizabeth's neck, and asked if the photo was her boyfriend. The three started fighting over the small locket.

"I can't really call him my boyfriend." She said, when the fight had stopped. "There's still a chance, but he hasn't really opened his heart to me yet. I wonder if after all, he might not be the one I'm destined for.

"Just 'cause you're a girl, it doesn't mean you have to wait for a prince to come along on a white horse." Rini said. Serena and Elizabeth both looked at her. "You can go out and find Prince Charming yourself." Rini said. "It's up to you to find the right boy. When you meet, you'll both know you need to be together."

"Wow... how did you get so wise?" Elizabeth asked. Serena wondered if Rini was getting her ideas from romance books.

That night, Elizabeth was riding the bus home. She didn't know that Tiger's Eye was behind her, spying on her. Using his magic, he made Elizabeth's wallet appear in his hand. When it was Elizabeth's stop, she couldn't find her wallet. Tiger's Eye came up to her and handed her wallet back. They both got off the bus together. They stared at each other for a moment.

"Thank you very much." Elizabeth said.

"Oh, no." Tiger's Eye replied. "I should be thanking you for giving me this chance to meet you, really. It's too early to say goodbye. Perhaps we should become acquainted. Like right now."

Elizabeth was blushing fiercely.

Meanwhile, Rini was leading Serena through the streets. Serena wondered what was going on.

"Isn't there a forest with a big lake somewhere around here?" Rini asked in response.

"A forest?" Serena said. "No, I don't think so. Where did you get that silly idea from?"

"Oh, nothing." Rini replied. "No reason."

Just then, the two heard a scream nearby. It was Elizabeth's scream, as Tiger's Eye had hit Elizabeth's purse out of her hand with a whip. A curtain appeared in front of Tiger's Eye, and when it disappeared, Tiger's Eye was out of his disguise. Elizabeth was frightened, and Serena and Rini saw the sight from afar.

"One!" Shouted Tiger's Eye. An odd coffin-shaped table appeared behind Elizabeth and stood upright right behind her.

"Two!" Cuffs bound Elizabeth to the table.

"Three!" Elizabeth started to emit a bright light. The light then formed into a small floating mirror.

"That's my Dream Mirror!" Tiger's Eye said. "With it, I can see your beautiful dreams!" He started to approach Elizabeth.

"Stop!" A voice shouted. Tiger's Eye looked and saw two shadows.

"We are Sailor Scouts!" Sailor Moon shouted.

"And we stand for Love and Justice!" Shouted Sailor Mini Moon.

"I'm Sailor Moon!"

"And I'm Sailor Mini Moon!"

"And in the name of the Moon, we shall punish you!"

Tiger's Eye was unimpressed. He simply called for a name: Karakuriko. His shadow extended, and a symbol appeared in it. Then, the shadow turned into an odd monster. It resembled a marionette, except the torso and legs were seperate parts. Tiger's Eye ordered Karakuriko to attack.

At that command, the various limbs of Karakuriko fly away from each other. Sailor Moon was tripped with a leg, and was picked up by two flying arms. While Sailor Mini Moon was distracted, she was hit by the legs of the monster. As Sailor Moon was hoisted high into the air, Sailor Mini Moon was pinned to the ground. A blade came out of the monster's mouth and it tried to stab Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon was quick enough to dodge each attempt with the blade. Tiger's Eye laughed in amusement. Suddenly, the monster was hit by a rose. Tiger's Eye looked for the source of the rose. Tuxedo Mask appeared atop a light post.

"You, who disturbs the night for evil ways must be stopped!" Tuxedo Mask said. "I am Tuxedo Mask, and I fight against evil!"

The Sailor Scouts were glad to see their hero. Tiger's Eye was still unimpressed, and he and Tuxedo Mask began to battle. As they fought, Tiger's Eye's whip wrapped itself around a tree trunk, as Tuxedo Mask held his cane out to Tiger's Eye.

"The game is over." Tuxedo Mask said. Tiger's Eye chuckled.

"I think you're wrong!" He said. Tuxedo Mask was surprised. Tiger's Eye's whip had tied Tuxedo Mask's shadow to the tree. Tuxedo Mask couldn't move. With the heroes immobilized, Tiger's Eye took Elizabeth's Dream Mirror, and looked inside it. Despite Elizabeth's protests, he looked around freely at all of Elizabeth's private dreams. He didn't find what he was looking for.

"I've got to get rid of everyone with beautiful dreams, because he could still come and hide in them." Tiger's Eye said to himself. He orderd Karakuriko to get rid of Elizabeth and the heroes.

A hand reached out of the monster's waist and reached for Sailor Mini Moon. Sailor Mini Moon tried her hardest to hold the hand back, as its nails suddenly grew a few inches, sporting a razor sharp edge. As the two struggled to live, Sailor Mini Moon wondered in her mind if there could be anyone to help. Suddenly, a golden light appeared in the sky, freeing the Sailor Scouts. The pegasus from Rini's dreams appeared.

"That's him!" Tiger's Eye said. "The good one! Pegasus!"

The Pegasus cast some magic on the two Sailor Scouts, and in a bright golden light, they were changed into Super Sailor Moon, and Super Sailor Mini Moon. A small sceptre like object appeared floating before Super Sailor Moon. As Karakuriko charged at the two Scouts, Super Sailor Moon tried a new attack.

"MOON SUPER MOON TARGET!"

Without a chance to survive, Karakuriko was turned back into a shadow, and disappeared. Tiger's Eye beat a hasty retreat. Elizabeth was freed, and her Dream Mirror was returned. Tuxedo Mask was freed as well.

Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Mini Moon stood, looking at the Pegasus. Suddenly, the pegasus vanished, and the two Sailors were back to their normal forms. They found that Elizabeth had just fainted, and would be fine. Sailor Mini Moon thought about the pegasus, and remembered his words.

"Don't tell anyone we met..."

"Rini, do you know anything about Pegasus?" Sailor Moon asked.

"No, I don't Serena." Rini replied. The two looked up at the night sky, which shone with the majesty of the northern lights.
