Sailor Moon Episode 130Episode title: Phony Fairy Original American Airdate: 10/9/2000 Original Canadian Airdate: Rini and Serena were at a bookstore. Rini happened by a book entitled "Fairy", and stopped to look at it. Serena told Rini they had to go. Rini wanted the book, but Serena told her that she had no money. "Someone will buy it for me." Rini said, closing the book. After Serena bought Rini the book, and the two headed home, Serena prattled on and on about how the book wasn't a present, and she expected to be paid back. Rini was too absorbed in the book to listen to anything Serena said. Frustrated, Serena ran ahead. Rini kept walking with her face in the book. Someone was walking in the opposite direction, drawing a sketch on a large pad. As fate would have it, the two collided, and landed in a mess of books and paper. After making sure they were okay, the two apologized to each other. To Rini's surprise, the person she had run into was the author of her book. That night, Rini was reading her book in her room. Pegasus appeared to her, and Rini showed him the book. "The flower in that picture looks like a flower you can only find in the mythical world I come from." Pegasus observed. "It does not even exist for people in your world, though. I wonder... has the artist actually seen that flower?" Rini closed her book. "He said he saw it in a dream." She replied. "In a dream? Then, you've met the artist that painted this picture?" "Yes!" Rini recounted her meeting with the author. "You bought my book." The author said. "So you must be intrested in plants and flowers." "No, actually, I bought the book because of the beautiful pictures of fairies you painted." Rini replied. "Oh, you like the fairies." He said. Rini nodded. "I'm glad. You know, it's so odd. You're the very first person to every say they liked my fairy drawings." "Did you ever see one in real life?" "No way." He replied. "But I believe that fairies must exist somewhere. The truth is, I dream about them." Rini looked amazed. "You dream about fairies?" "I'm embarrassed 'cause they don't show up in real life." The author said. "I guess 'cause they're very shy things." "Since you dream about fairies, do you think you'd ever want to marry a girl who's fairy-like?" The author gasped. "Get married? Well, I haven't really thought about marriage at all." He said. "Tell me. What exactly do you mean by 'fairy-like'?" "Well, I imagine a warm-hearted girl who likes to play and make friends with little animals and flowers and plants." Rini replied. The author thought he could get married after all, if he could find a girl like that. They shared a laugh at his light-hearted joke. Rini looked at the cover of her book. "He's a really nice guy, and fun to be with too." Rini said. "Sure seems that way." Said Pegasus. "Sounds like his dreams must be happy and full of beautiful flowers." Rini agreed, and felt like she should have asked more about fairies. She wondered if she'd ever see the author again. Meanwhile, Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye were at their bar. They were talking about how baffling humans were, and how they seemed to hold onto their dreams of love and romance so tenaciously, like thier lives depended on it. Hawk's Eye thought that maybe those dreams were lifelines of some sort, and Tiger's Eye definitely agreed. They almost started fighting when Hawk's Eye insulted Tiger's Eye's track record with capturing the hearts of the girls he's gone after, and just then Fish Eye came in. She walked up to the bar and blushed when she saw a picture. She picked it up and asked to go out on the mission for the one in the picture. Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye went to look, and saw it was a picture of a guy. They decided to let Fish Eye go for it. The picture was that of the author Rini had bumped into. "Mr. Kidakada!" Rini's voice called. The author Rini had bumped into was in the forest sketching a flower. He turned and saw the girl. "Since you said you like to visit the forest, I thought I'd come and visit it with you." Rini said. "Alone?" He replied. "It's dark here and can be dangerous for you." "But I'm not alone." Rini replied. "I've got Diana with me." Sure enough, Diana had come along, something of a hat, laying on top of Rini's head. "This is not a place to go by yourself." He said. "Your family would be very upset if they knew. What if something happened to you out here alone?" Rini looked down sadly. "But I just wanted to see you again, that's all." She said. "I'm not angry with you, I'm just concerned for you." He said. Suddenly, a flock of birds flew through the trees, startling him. He turned around and looked into a darker part of the forest. To his eyes, an apparation of a beautiful young woman danced through the darkness. "Did you see that?!" He said to Rini. Rini hadn't seen anything. He looked back to the forest, and the girl danced by again. He started running towards the place he had seen the girl. Diana and Rini looked on, confused. Diana wondered what he was running to, and Rini decided to follow him. Mr. Kidakada ran through the dark forest, and suddenly emerged in what looked like a small, beautiful meadow. There was a large river, and the entire place was surrounded by the forest. He looked out on the river, and standing upon the water was the girl he had seen earlier. He went to try to get to her. Rini arrived at the clearing moments later. "I wonder who that girl could be over there." She said. Kidakada was walking towards the girl through the river. He asked who she was. They went to sit down. Kidakada was staring at the girl. "Do I have something on my face?" The girl asked. Kidakada looked down. "No. I was just wondering who you really are." She looked slightly startled by his comment. "You know me better than anyone else, don't you?" She said. "You don't mean you're a..." He started. "A... fairy?" The girl giggled. "Do I look like a fairy?" She asked. She started when she looked at her feet and saw a cat sniffing her foot. It was Diana. The girl stood up in fear as the cat sniffed her legs. Rini tried to call Diana back to their hiding place, but to no avail. The girl suddenly ran, leaving Kidakada alone. Fish Eye was in her shower, scrubbing herself. "Cats!" She exclaimed. "Yuck! Why did there have to be cats in this place anyway? The first thing I'm gonna do when we take over this world is get rid of every single cat there is!" Rini had gone to Raye's temple to tell the girls about what happened with Mr. Kidakada. Raye wondered if the fairy (Fish Eye, for those who haven't caught on yet) had put a spell on him. "You think it's possible she could be a genuine fairy?" Serena asked. "Well, she didn't smell human, that's for sure!" Diana said. "But I don't really think she's a fairy, though." "Why?" Asked Serena. "Well, her feet smell fishy!" Diana said. "Fishy?" Luna said. "I know!" Exclaimed Serena. "Then she must be a Fishy Fairy!" The girls sighed. "What? What'd I say?" "I'm sure there's no such thing." Luna said. Artemis wondered if the fairy was the enemy. Lita didn't think so. Mina asked why, when Rini had said the girl just vanished. "Well, I don't know. Maybe she just blinked and didn't see her leave." Lita replied. Raye was looking through the book Rini had gotten. "Hey Rini, this isn't the guy you're talking about, is it?" Raye asked, pointing at a picture of the author. Rini told Raye that it was the right guy. "Let me see!" Mina said, pushing Raye to one side as she looked. "Wow, he's really fine, isn't he?" Next, it was Lita's turn to look. Serena wanted to look, but the trio reminded Serena that she had Darien. Mina decided that they should check out this fairy and of course, Mr. Kidakada. Luna and Artemis sighed. Rini hoped that Kidakada was okay. Fish Eye was applying make up while Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye watched beside her. They couldn't help feeling attracted to her when she was all made up. "Are we lost?" Mina said. "We can't find the lake anywhere." Mina had a map of the forest, but the girls were hopelessly lost. They heard loud noises coming from a dark part of the forest. After conquering their fears, they decided to look. Meanwhile, Kidakada was playing with Fish Eye, who was disguised as a fairy. Fish Eye ran, and Kidakada ran after her, wondering why she was being such a mystery. He chased her around a tree, and finally caught her. When he did, she said she'd tell him who she was if he told her what his dream is. "My dream has always been to learn all I can from beautiful plants and flowers of the world." He said. "I must be living my dream now, 'cause you're the most beautiful flower." "Thank you." Fish Eye said. "Would I be able to see your dream?" "Sure you can." He replied. "But all you have to do to see it, is just look in the mirror. I know we just met, but you're the most beautiful girl of my dreams. I don't see why we should wait..." "Wait for...?" "Uh... about marriage..." He stammered. He was about to ask her something, but he noticed that a flower had been broken by the fall he and Fish Eye had taken. He was concerned about the flower, but Fish Eye was concerned about her dress. Kidakada told her that since she was worried about that, she couldn't be a fairy, and didn't want to see her anymore. "I can't believe this!" Fish Eye said. "Are you saying you care more for that stupid flower than for me?! You're a nut job!" With that, Fish Eye revealed her true form. She counted to three, and Kidakada was trapped against the upright board. His Dream Mirror appeared, and Fish Eye went to take a look. Serena and Rini had seen the transpirings from nearby bushes. "Too bad. I guess she wasn't a fairy after all, was she?" Serena said. Rini reminded her that they had no time for chatting. "MOON COSMIC DREAM ACTION!" Fish Eye looked into Kidakada's Dream Mirror, but did not find Pegasus. She saw no other choice but to get rid of him. "Not so fast!" A voice shouted. Fish Eye turned around and saw two forms. They were of course, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mini Moon. "We're Sailor Scouts!" "And we save all dreams with kindness!" "I'm Sailor Moon!" "I am Sailor Mini Moon!" "And in the name of the moon, we shall punish you!" Fish Eye was unimpressed, and called forth her Remlis. It was a tightrope walking monster. It said hello, and threw Sailor Moon a balance pole. Suddenly, a rope came up under Sailor Moon's feet, raising her high into the air. Fish Eye left the scene, and the monster started to play around with Sailor Moon. It blindfolded itself, and started dancing and such on the rope, shaking it around in all sorts of places. Sailor Moon tried hard to keep her balance. As the monster danced, a rose suddenly hit it in the back of the head. On one of the ends of the tightrope stood Tuxedo Mask. "You evil whack job! Why don't you go back to the creepy circus you came from!" Tuxedo Mask taunted. "If you don't fall off the rope first!" The Remlis was having a tough time keeping its balance on the tightrope, but it fell. So did Sailor Moon. The monster hit the ground, and Tuxedo Mask caught Sailor Moon. He told Sailor Mini Moon to call Pegasus. "Please, Pegasus! Protector of Dreams!" "CRYSTAL TWINKLE BELL!" Pegasus' powers evoked, the horse appeared. "MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!" The monster was destroyed. A few minutes later, Mr. Kidakada woke up, and he wondered where his fairy went. Darien said that he must have been dreaming, but Kidakada said that he saw all kinds of fairies. He had seen one of them call a pegasus. "You know what?" Rini said. "I believe in fairies too, Mr. Kidakada!" "You do?" He replied. "If you ever see one, let me know too, okay?" She asked. Serena suddenly started. "I forgot to meet the girls!" She said. "I wonder where they are?" Rini told Serena that if she hadn't overslept, everyone would have arrived together. Meanwhile, the girls searched endlessly, hoping to find Mr. Kidakada, and be his fairies. Sadly, with how lost they were, it was not meant to be. To the Next episode |
