Sailor Moon Episode 140

Episode title: No Prince Charming

Zircon was showing a movie for the Amazon Trio and Zirconia to watch. It showed all the failures that the Amazon Trio had endured. Zirconia's patience was wearing thin. The Trio apologized, and told him that Pegasus was not in any of the dreams they encountered. Zirconia accused the Trio of not using their brains.

After their chewing out, the Amazon Trio retired to their bar. Hawk's Eye and Fish Eye didn't think that Pegasus would hide in any boring girl's dreams. Tiger's Eye scooped up all the pictures on the bar, and decided to go after the dreams of many girls, instead of just one at a time. Hawk's Eye and Fish Eye were doubtful, but Tiger's Eye remained steadfast, and went on his way. On his way out, he dropped a picture. It was a picture of Lita.

Lita bought the most exquisite dress she could afford. It was black and elaborate, with a red rose patterned on the front. She bought it for some sort of contest, and Mina told Lita that she had to impress everyone to win. Just then, Darien, Andrew and Elizabeth arrived.

"Wow, look at you." Elizabeth said to the girls. "You're all dressed up to go to the dance, aren't you?"

"Is it obvious?" Raye asked.

"The dance on our campus is a happening fave, 'cause that's where a lot of new couples hook up every year." Darien said.

Andrew added that it could the place where one could meet their soulmate. Some went on dating, but some actually married.

Elizabeth smiled wryly. "I seem to remember you tried to hook up with Reika at the dance last year, Andrew!" She teased.

"Oh yeah?" Darien said.

"Can it, Darien!" Andrew stammered. The girls, convinced something serious could come out of the dance, eagerly started their way to the campus. Serena and Rini both dragged Darien along, and Lita calmly followed behind them all. She stopped when she saw a poster of a man and a woman dancing. She sighed, hoping to find that special someone.

Later, the girls arrived at the dance and were having a great time. Serena, Rini and Darien danced together like a family. Andrew tried to dance with a pretty girl, but Elizabeth needed him to drive her home. Mina was having fun dancing with a crowd of guys. Lita in the meantime, was standing at the wall, just waiting for a man to dance with her. Amy came to her.

"Why aren't you dancing, Lita? What's up?" Amy asked.

"Nothing really." Lita replied. "Well, there doesn't appear to be one guy in this whole place who'll dance with me. I feel like a total geek standing here."

Amy put out her hand. "Hey, why don't you come dance with me?" She asked. Lita agreed, and the two danced together for a while. They danced quite well together. Just then, Tiger's Eye came in. He looked at the two girls dancing. He was impressed by Lita's dancing skills, but didn't see her picture amongst any of his targets. He snapped his fingers, and the music stopped, and so did the disco lights on the dance floor.

Tiger's Eye came through the crowd, and walked up to Lita, right past Amy. He asked her to dance. Lita, flustered and taken aback, agreed to dance with him, and for a few magical, though brief moments, Tiger's Eye and Lita commanded the dance floor with style and grace. Lita couldn't help dreaming that she was dancing with this man in a large ballroom. When the song ended, Lita was suddenly pushed out of the way as a crowd of girls wanted to dance with Tiger's Eye.

"Excuse me." Lita said softly.

"Hi, little fish." Tiger's Eye said absent mindedly. He had been thinking of how he had set his bait just right to catch a lot of girls for their dreams.

"Would you dance with me again, please?" Asked Lita.

"Yes, I will." Tiger's Eye replied. "A little later."

Lita watched as Tiger's Eye was dragged off by the small horde of girls. The girls just remarked at Lita's love at first sight. The girls left the gym, where the dance floor was, and had gone to get something to eat. Lita did not come with them.

"What? You mean she's been in the gym since she danced with that guy?" Darien asked.

"She has." Serena replied. "And she says she won't leave until she dances with that blond guy again. She's totally buggin'."

"Boy, I guess she must be so attracted to him that she's willing to wait until he comes back to dance with her." Mina said.

Amy said that Rini had gone to get Lita, and Darien said that they all should go see if Lita was alright. At sunset, the PA system announced that the dance was over, and to come back the next day for the fair. Lita was still waiting for her dance partner to appear. Sure enough, he came out of the door, still swarmed by girls. He asked Lita who she was. Rini shouted angrily at him that they had been waiting all day. Tiger's Eye said that he had a lot of girls to attend to. Lita decided just to wait. Tiger's Eye knew he had no time to spend with someone who wasn't a target. Outwardly, he told Lita he'd meet her later, and went off with his little harem.

Just then, Serena and the girls, along with Andrew and Darien arrived. Lita told them her story, and Andrew suggested that Lita go home. She decided to stay, in case her dance partner came back and she wouldn't be there.

That night, it was pouring rain, and Rini was in her room, talking to Pegasus.

"Pegasus, how could Lita get so crazy over someone so fast?" Rini asked. "They just met today."

"It's not a matter of time. It's a matter of feeling." Replied Pegasus. "Maybe someday you'll fall in love with someone at first sight."

Rini gasped and thought immediately of Pegasus.

"I guess that can happen." Rini said dreamily, blushing.

"It can happen, and it does happen Rini." Pegasus said. "Sometimes, love just blinds people."

Suddenly, Rini heard Serena's exclamations from downstairs. She ran down to check. Serena had gotten a call that Lita wasn't home yet. In mere moments, Darien, Serena and Rini raced towards the campus and to the dance, where Lita was still waiting in the rain. Serena leapt out of the car, and ran to Lita.

"Oh, hi Serena." Lita said calmly.

Serena helped Lita up. "Why are you still here?" She asked.

"'Cause I'm really scared that he might come back, and I'll be on my way home." Lita replied. "He'll think I didn't keep my promise to wait for him."

"But why?" Serena asked. "This is nonsense! He's just some new guy."

Lita knew that, but it didn't matter. She told Serena that she had always had a dream to dance with her Prince Charming, and it finally came true.

"If I leave now, I may always regret it." Lita said, dancing gracefully in the rain.

"Okay, we get it. But in this weather? Not a good idea." A voice said. Lita stopped dancing. She turned around and saw the rest of the girls, all smart enough to sport umbrellas, come out of the darkness. Raye handed Lita a towel, and the girls resolved to wait with Lita all night. Rini and Darien decided to go home.

When morning came, Tiger's Eye arrived at the fair. He passed by a beauty contest. He was uninterested, until he heard a familiar voice cheering onstage. It was Fish Eye, who had just won the beauty competition.

"What are you doing here?!" Tiger's Eye shouted. "Explain yourself!"

Fish Eye stopped cheering, and kneeled to talk to Tiger's Eye.

"Of course you're here!" She said. "I completely forgot about you!"

Meanwhile, Serena and Rini were bringing food for Lita to eat. They happened by two forms who seemed to be talking suspiciously. The two girls ducked behind the bushes and listened in.

"Here." Fish Eye said.

"What is it?" Tiger's Eye asked.

"You dropped this in the club." Fish Eye replied. "I came to bring it to you, but there are so many cute boys here. I was having so much fun, I got completely distracted, so I forgot all about giving you this picture."

"You are so doofy, huh?" Tiger's Eye quipped. He looked at the picture. It was the picture of Lita.

Fish Eye asked how his mission was going, assuming it was a complete failure. Tiger's Eye shouted angrily that he could never fail, and that when he got going, he could check the dreams of twenty women easily. Serena and Rini were more than shocked that Lita's new beau would say something so shocking. Fish Eye didn't really care for Tiger's Eye's outburst, and Tiger's Eye set out to get his target. Serena and Rini didn't know who he intended to hurt, but came to the conclusion that Tiger's Eye was a player who would break Lita's heart.

Meanwhile, the girls had fallen asleep during the night. Tiger's Eye came out of the building, dressed as he had the day before. Lita and the girls awoke and saw him.

"You're the only one who waited for me." Tiger's Eye said. "I'm glad to see you again."

"I was afraid you wouldn't come back." Lita said.

"Don't be silly." Tiger's Eye replied, leading Lita a ways away from the girls. "How could I forget you? You're very special."

Lita thanked him, and Tiger's Eye felt something in his heart. He was blushing. He didn't know what his new feeling was, but did what he could to stay focused on his job.

"You just made me so happy." Lita said. "I really believed you'd come back to dance with me."

"Believed... in me?" Tiger's Eye said. "What do you mean? How could you believe in somebody that much?"

Before Lita could offer an answer, Fish Eye popped out of the bushes. She revealed her true form.

"One! Two! Three!" Fish Eye counted. Lita was promptly trapped against the upright board with her Dream Mirror floating out in front of her. Fish Eye told Tiger's Eye to finish his job. He revealed his true form. Lita was in sad shock when she realized that the love of her heart was an enemy.

"It's your own fault." Tiger's Eye said. "I only danced with you once. You're a fool, girl. Why would you believe in someone you just met?"

In a sad, sad irony, he walked up to her and looked into Lita's Dream Mirror. Serena and Rini arrived on the scene.

"MOON COSMIC DREAM ACTION!"

Tiger's Eye found no Pegasus in Lita's beautiful dreams. Fish Eye told him to eliminate Lita and get out of there.

"Stop it! You can't do that!" A voice shouted. Fish Eye looked everywhere, but couldn't see where it was coming from. She finally saw two forms atop the shade canopy of the nearby building's door. It was Sailor Moon and Mini Moon.

"You made an innocent girl trust you and believe in you!" Sailor Mini Moon shouted. "She gave you her love, and you broke her heart! How dare you shatter her dream! You have no right to fool innocent girls like that!"

"We are the Sailor Scouts!"

"And we stand for Love and Justice!"

"I'm Sailor Moon!"

"I'm Sailor Mini Moon!"

"And in the name of the Moon, we shall punish you!"

Tiger's Eye backed off, and retreated, despite Fish Eye's protests. Fish Eye called her Remlis, and retreated too. The rest of the girls were freed from Fish Eye's net, and helped Lita to the sidelines, out of danger. The Remlis, named Shuffle, threw some cards at the two Sailor Scouts, and missed. Sailor Moon's hair was trimmed though. The cards were razor sharp. That wasn't the end though. Sailor Moon dashed out of the way as the shade canopy fell down.

The Remlis continued its attacks, barely missing the Sailor Scouts. Finally, it had the two Sailors pinned against the wall. Lita was regaining consciousness, and saw what was happening. The Remlis lined up a full deck of razor sharp jokers to threw at its victims. It started throwing the cards wildly.

"SUPERIOR SPARKLING THUNDER!"

Jupiter's power stopped the cards cold in their tracks, and even hit the monster hard.

"I really thought I'd met my Prince Charming." She said. She told Sailor Moon and Mini Moon to attack.

"Pegasus, please! Help protect people's dreams!"

"CRYSTAL TWINKLE BELL!"

"MOON GORGEOUS MEDITATION!"

The monster was destroyed. When everything had settled, Lita decided to reflect on events.

"I guess I just got caught up in that romantic moment with the music and the lights." She said. "When everyone was watching us, and we were like synchronized dancers on the floor."

Lita looked about the empty gym. It was littered with garbage and memories of the past. Rini looked on, worried. Just then, Elizabeth came running up, saying there was going to be a dance at a high school.

"Sure, I'll go with you!" Lita said eagerly. The girls sighed.

"Looks like we don't have to worry about her." Serena said. The girls agreed.

Lita cheered on with hope that one day, she would find the man to sweep her off her feet.
