Serena arrived at Darien's apartment one day, with a bag full of cookies. They were burnt, but she didn't care. She knocked at the door. No answer. She tried the handle and the door swung open.

Inside, a classical concerto played, and no one seemed to be inside. Serena spotted a book on the table and looked at it. It was called Contemporary Analysis of Classical Composers and Their Works.

"Oh, I get it!" She said, laughing. "It's a college book! No pictures or dot-to-dots!"

In her clumsiness, Serena spilled her cookies all over Darien's coffee table. She looked dispairingly at the mess of burnt bunny and heart cookies. Meanwhile, Darien came in and spotted Serena sobbing at the table. He walked up to her, wondering when she came in.

"I feel like a total loser." Serena sobbed. Darien kneeled beside her.

"Failed another exam, huh?" He said. He looked over and spotted Serena's cookies. He picked one up and examined it.

"I can't even surprise my boyfriend right!" Serena wailed, bursting into tears.

"I'm surprised!" Darien said, popping a cookie into his mouth. As he chewed it, he tried to hide the agonized look on his face while Serena watched him.

"Hard and crunchy." Darien said at last. "My favorite combo."

Darien then surprised Serena with an outing for movies and lunch. Later, Serena met with the other girls, and had told them about her experience.

"And he scarfed down half the bag of charred concrete cookies on top of that?" Raye more remarked than asked. Serena nodded.

"He's too kind." Lita said.

"I hope his stomach's gonna survive." Mina added.

"Can it, Mina!" Serena shouted.

"Really, what a mean thing to say." Amy said. Serena offered her thanks for understanding. "Besides," Amy continued, "the cookies baked for so long, they couldn't harbor anymore toxic substances."

Serena's smile faded, and she bowed her head, shaking in rage. The girls and cats all braced for the explosion.

"I'm not mad!" Serena finally said with a smile. "Just hang loose! Keep on smilin'!"

She smiled at Amy and said,

"Feed your brain! How 'bout you feed mine, Amy?"

"Feed it what?"

"Classicoil... oh wait! Classical Composters!"

She turned to Lita.

"And pie making!" She said. She laid her head down on Lita's lap. "A la mode, if you please."

"Did you fall on your head or something?" Lita said, amazed at Serena.

"You actually wanna learn things?" Raye said in shock.

"I want to know it all!" Serena said. "I want to climb the mountain of higher learning and knowledge!"

She turned to Raye and Mina for help in her studies. She seemed very determined to go through with it.

"Poor girl has blown a fuse!" Artemis said to Luna. Mina grabbed Artemis off the bench.

"Artemis! Your appointment! Cat grooming! Sorry we can't help you out!" Mina said.

"I'm busy too." Lita said with a nervous smile. "Previous engagement."

Serena only looked on as Lita and Mina ran off. As Serena stood there, feeling dejected, Amy started to offer her help, only to be stopped by Raye.

"Of course she's not serious!" Raye said. "It's just another one of her meatball-headed plans."

"That's Meatball-head no more!" Serena said. Raye stuck her tongue out at her.

"Yeah right!" She shot back. "More than not, you've just blown off study buddies because a fun something came up! Besides, if you're not smart enough for Darien, maybe you should just let him go!"

Raye and Amy both went off at Raye's insistance. Serena stuck her tongue out at them as they left.

"Very graceful." Luna said. "Are you a frog catching flies?"

Serena looked over at Luna.

"At the risk of sounding less than compassionate, your 'climbing the mountains of higher learning' is like my trying to bark: It's not in my nature, and it never will be."

Serena felt Luna's words hit her like a ton of bricks.

"Why don't you just concentrate on trying to learn a smidgen of what they're trying to teach you in school?" Luna continued. "When you're not snoring that is!"

As Luna continued, she looked up to see Serena sobbing.

"You don't understand." Serena sobbed. "No one understands! I don't want to stay a meatball head!"

Serena started crying loudly and ran off. Luna watched in bewilderment and wondered why she had changed. Serena walked through the park alone and sobbing. She stopped when she heard a noise coming from a nearby gazeebo. It was the size of a stage for a whole orchestra, with rows upon rows of benches to sit on. The noise was Michele playing her violin. Amara sat on a bench nearby tossing a lemon up and down in her hand.

"I feel tremendous vibrations in this town, Michele." She said. "I'm sure something's going to happen. We're close to the Pure Heart Crystals. We just better make sure we get to them first, before the Heart Snatchers do."

"We can't worry about them so much." Michele replied, not missing a beat in her playing. "We have to focus on finding the Pure Heart Crystal holders so we can complete our task. Finding the Purity Chalice, the source of the Purity Force, and returning its proper home where it belongs. We have to be patient, Amara, and not let our emotions get in the way."

"I know." Amara replied. "But it seems like the Heart Snatchers pinpoint the Pure Hearts so much faster than we can. How do they do it?"

"I don't know." Said Michele. "But the important part is that they not get to keep them. Then, we'd be doomed."

"Like the Pure Hearts." Amara said. "Whichever three give up their Pure Heart Crystals will do so forever. But then the worlds can remain. So I guess we'll worry about that when the time comes."

Just then, Serena approached the stage in the middle aisle, and Michele spotted her.

"You look just like a jewelry box princess with a guitar." Serena said.

"It's a violin, Serena." Amara said. Michele asked why Serena wasn't at the arcade.

"Nope!" Serena said. "I'm trying to expand my horizons, so maybe you could teach me violin? I'd really love to learn, and fast! A song by a classical composter!"

Amara chuckled and smiled. She tossed the lemon at Michele, and she caught it with her violin. Michele played a more upbeat tune and bounced the lemon in the air with her violin as she played. Amara got up and headed to her motorbike. Serena asked where she was going, and Amara said that driving her motorbike helped her to think.

"Bye, little Miss Beethoven." Amara said.

"I'm gonna look that word up!" Serena shouted as Amara revved her motorcycle engine. "And if it's mean, I'm gonna be mad!"

As Amara drove away and Serena watched, Michele ended her song, flinging the lemon high into the air.

"Beethoven was a famous composer of the nineteenth century." Michele said, catching the lemon while looking at Serena. "It's not mean at all."

Later on, Michele and Serena were at an art gallery. Serena asked Michele if she was going to play violin for a living. Michele replied that she would love to, but didn't think she was good enough.

"But you're totally amazing." Serena said.

"Thanks." Michele replied. "You're sweet."

Serena acted embarassed at Michele's comment, and thanked her for it. They both chuckled.

"Does it take long to learn to play the violin and not think classical music's a yawn?" Serena asked.

"Yes." Michele replied. "It takes years. Years of dedication only to find out you might not get to play. Your fate's something else."

"Wow, you're so deep!" Serena said. "I wanna be like you!"

Just then, a guy came up to them and couldn't believe it was Michele. He pointed to a nearby painting, asking if it was hers. The painting was of a moon. A stream of light flowed out of the moon, and a whale was doing a jump backwards in it. The painting was called "Space", and sure enough, Michele's signature was on it. Serena was amazed at Michele's talent, and thought that Darien might get along with her really well.

I better make sure they never meet... She thought to herself. Later, they waited outside for Amara to arrive. She stopped and took of her helmet.

"Hey, sorry I'm late." Amara said. "But I was following some vibrations looking for Heart Snatchers. But I came up with nothing so far."

Michele silenced Amara, hoping Serena didn't hear. Luckily for them, Serena didn't hear a word. She was busy attempting to play Michele's violin, and doing terribly. After that little incident, Michele and Amara treated a torn down and depressed Serena to milkshakes.

"It wasn't that bad for a first try, Serena." Michele said. "It's not hopeless."

"Yes it is." Serena sobbed. "Now I'll never be able to play for Darien."

"Come on, cheer up." Michele said with a soft smile. "If you stick with it, you might learn. You might even get to the point where nobody's ears get hurt."

Serena looked up and smiled. Michele handed Serena two tickets to a concerto being held that evening. Serena accepted them graciously.

Meanwhile, another Daimon pod was being created. As it burst from its beaker, Dr. Tomo said,

"The Heart Snatcher's ready Kaorinite. So do you think you found a Pure Heart Crystal holder for me?"

"That's right, Dr." Kaori replied. "The crystal is ripe for the picking. Go Heart Snatcher, find your target!"

With that, the Daimon pod flew out of the sewers and into the city. That night, Serena and Darien arrived at the concert hall. Serena and Darien were surprised to see Lita, Raye, Amy and Mina with Luna and Artemis.

"Please forgive us." Lita pleaded.

"What's to forgive?" Serena said, crossing her arms. "You abandoned me is all."

"We're sorry." Lita said. "We just thought you'd flake out is all."

"But when we heard you were coming here, we knew you were serious." Mina added.

"I sort of spilled the beans." Luna said.

"So we're here for you now." Raye said. "I'm gonna pinch you if I even catch a glimpse of a snooze-fest coming on."

"And I brought a guidebook to tonight's concert." Amy said, holding up a thick book.

"Keep it, Amy." Serena said with a smile. "That'll make me snooze now!"

Meanwhile, inside, the featured violin player was in his dressing room. As he straightened his tie, the Daimon pod descended behind him and absorbed itself into his violin. He heard a small noise as the violin rattled a bit, but didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

In the concert hall, Michele and Amara sat in their balcony seats. Michele stood and both of them looked through their binoculars at Serena, Darien, and the girls.

"And that must be Darien." Michele said.

"You're drooling Michele." Amara teased.

"Well, can't I look?" Michele asked. Amara chuckled and nodded. Michele sat down as the concert started. The crowd cheered as the violinist stood upon the stage and began to play his piece. Darien watched silently, and suddenly, Serena was slapped upside the head by Raye.

"You're not paying attention!" Raye said.

"I'm listening with my ears and oogling with my eyes, okay?!" Serena said, trying to whisper. Mina was trying to stop the fighting.

"Turn around and face the stage!" Raye hissed. Just then, the crowd around them shushed them, and the entire group sat properly, looking at the stage. As the violinist played on, his violin started to glow. He stopped and looked at it, and it began to emit a loud, piercing screech.

"It hurts!" Darien shouted.

"He stinks!" Serena added. The violin rose into the air and turned into a Heart Snatcher. Its body resembled that of the violin, with strings down the front. The Heart Snatcher was armed with a bow. It played the strings, and emitted a loud tone. The people in the concert hall were rendered unconcsious. Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita, Mina and Darien stayed conscious, however. Meanwhile, the Heart Snatcher opened its brown shirt, revealing a black star on its belly button. The star emitted a beam and began to extract the violinist's Heart Crystal. Within seconds, the Heart Crystal was extracted, and the Heart Snatcher had it. The girls ran outside and met with Luna and Artemis. As the Heart Snatcher approached the exit, the girls transformed.

"MERCURY STAR POWER!"

"MARS STAR POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER!"

"VENUS STAR POWER!"

"MOON COSMIC POWER!"

The Heart Snatcher dashed out of the building. It sent out a loud shriek, which shattered all the windows of the concert hall, and emptied all the nearby trees of their birds.

"Stop it, banjo brain!" A voice shouted. "You couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! I'm Sailor Moon, Champion of Justice, and I wish I'd brought my earplugs!"

"We will right wrongs and bad songs!" Venus shouted.

"And triumph over tone deaf Heart Snatchers!" Mars added.

"And that means you, screech!" Sailor Moon shouted. In synch, they all said,

"Give it up, now!"

The Heart Snatcher had no such thing on its schedule, so it blasted the Sailor Scouts with loud waves of sound. When it stopped the waves, all the Sailor Scouts fell to the ground weakened. Then, the Heart Snatcher played its strings again, only with enough speed to cause it to fire a strong energy beam. The Sailor Scouts were too weak to get out of the way, and as the beam drew near, a red rose halted the Heart Snatcher's assault very quickly. Serena was elated at Tuxedo Mask's appearance.

"Whoever taught you about music, I'm sure had two left feet and not an ounce of talent!" He said. The Heart Snatcher picked up its bow and shot another sonic attack at Tuxedo Mask. He dodged it, and Jupiter attacked.

"JUPITER THUNDER POWER!" (This was actually the Sparkling Wide Pressure)

The intensified lightning energy flew at the Heart Snatcher, but it was dodged. It exploded when it hit the ground. Jupiter and Mercury gasped at the damage.

"Hey, Jupiter," Mercury said, "this building is a historical landmark, you know?"

The Heart Snatcher fired another sonic attack, this time dodged by the Sailor Scouts.

"NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!"

A sphere filled with the power of the ocean hit the Heart Snatcher. Sailor Moon looked atop a large art piece to see Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus standing on it.

"Lured by your off-key singing, Sailor Uranus joins the show!"

"We'll take over from here, Sailor Soldiers!" Sailor Neptune shouted.

"What do you mean by that?" Tuxedo Mask said. "Why don't we work together?"

"Sorry." Uranus replied. "We don't have time to answer your questions."

"We're after the true goodness." Neptune said. "Three Pure Heart Crystals, and that vile violin might just have one of them!"

"So you're not Sailor Soldiers?" Mars asked.

"Yeah." Jupiter said. "You're just a couple of imposters pretending that you want to fight evil!"

"So why don't you get lost?" Mars said. "We've got everything under control!"

Meanwhile, the Heart Snatcher was able to get up, and attacked. The attack headed for its target, and Sailor Moon dove, taking down Sailor Neptune. The attack flew harmlessly into nowhere.

Neptune thanked Sailor Moon in her own way, and Sailor Moon said it was just her job. Meanwhile, Uranus attacked.

"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"

The energy ball filled with the power of an earthquake hit the Heart Snatcher. Tuxedo Mask called Sailor Moon up to the plate.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

The Heart Crystal and the violin floated to the ground. The Daimon pod emerged from the violin and broke.

"Her boss won't be happy." Uranus said. Neptune went to Uranus holding the Heart Crystal. They inspected it, but found nothing. Jupiter and Mercury asked them how they would know which is the proper heart crystal, and how they worked. Uranus just left it up to the Sailor Scouts to find out.

"Listen, this artist's heart is very delicate." Neptune said. "Let's go replace it gently."

With that, Neptune and Uranus disappeared.

"They're always taking off without saying goodbye." Mars said.

"Yeah, but don't hold it against them." Sailor Moon replied. "They really are on our side."

"Boy, what a night!" Serena said, as the girls all walked the streets after the battle. "Big bummer! I wanted to try and like the concert."

"Maybe another time." Darien replied. "Wanna get some pizza instead?"

Serena smiled at the idea, starved. Luna and Artemis made some comments at Serena having a one track mind.

"Be quiet furballs, or no anchovies!" Serena said. The cats apologized. Raye was dangling on Darien's arm.

"Darien, did anyone tell you you look like a total guy in that suit?" She asked. Darien nodded bashfully, and Serena threw a fit. Michele and Amara watched from the bridge above them.

"Big dweeb." Michele said.

"No kidding." Replied Amara.
