Sailor Moon Episode 89

Episode title: Lita Borrows Trouble

Someone on a motorcycle sped down the road. They kicked their bike into high gear and rushed even faster down the road.

Meanwhile, Lita and Serena were walking about Tokyo. Serena was famished.

"I think I'm going to pass out before study group." Serena said.

"Don't worry." Lita said, chuckling. "I'm going to bring my famous triple decker roast beef sandwiches and potato salad for you to munch on."

Serena was more than greatful.

"Good thing you're such an amazing chef, or I'd starve for sure!" She said.

"I'm not amazing." Lita said, looking down. "Anybody can learn how to cook."

Serena looked at Lita, confused.

"You say that because you can't even boil water." Lita continued. "But I think I need this skill to bring out my soft side. It makes others less scared of me."

Serena looked at Lita with a sudden understanding.

"You've got a soft side?" She said. "Like, you're not getting introspectacle on me, are you Lita?"

Lita chuckled. As Serena gave Lita compliments to cheer her up, they came to a crosswalk and started to cross the street. They weren't paying attention to the motorcycle racing towards them that suddenly couldn't or didn't stop. As it sped towards them, Lita knocked Serena down and covered her. The motorcycle screeched to a stop mere inches from the two girls. The driver took of her helmet. It was Amara. She apologized profusely. Lita looked up and saw Amara, and blushed. Amara asked if they were alright. Lita was fine, and Serena bumped her head.

"Call my lawyer." She quipped.

"No please, I'll lose my wheels!" Amara pleaded. Serena said that she was only playing. She looked at Lita, who was staring at Amara amorously. Serena said that they seemed okay, but Amara noticed that Lita had scratched her hand. She took off her scarf and wrapped it around the scratch.

"You shouldn't." Lita said. "It's going to get all dirty."

"Zip it." Amara replied. "It's the least I can do for almost plowing you guys over. I don't have very many friends around here. I better take care of the ones I've got."

"Well, if you insist." Lita said.

"Old friends get top spot on the cookie list, right old friend?" Serena said, trying to get into the conversation.

"It was so brave of you to save Meatball Head." Amara said. Serena threw a tantrum. As Amara took off on her bike, Lita stared quietly as Amara sped off the horizon. Suddenly, Serena appeared right in her view. Lita gasped.

"So, does this mean you're shopping for a new best friend and I'm being put to the curb?" Serena asked.

"No!" Lita replied. "Not at all, Serena. How could anyone ever compare to you? You're one of a kind!"

I think she's trying to pull the wool over my eyes! Serena thought to herself. The girls both laughed to ease the tension.

For a second there, I didn't think she was going to fall for it! Lita thought.

Meanwhile, Michele was enjoying some time alone at the local swimming pool. She thought back to a conversation she and Amara had earlier.

"We have to find the Purity Force soon, Michele." Amara said. "Time is running out." Three Pure Crystals are all we need. Three pure crystals hold the key to our entire existance and our future. We must find them at all costs."

"Even if it means sacricing the ones with a pure heart?" Michele asked.

"Even if it means that, yes." Amara replied. "It's for the good of the universe."

"Do you really think peace will come?" Michele asked.

"Yes, it has to." Amara replied. "Peace must come to this planet, and all others. Otherwise, we will be lost forever."

Both of them thought of a vision. It was a vision of everything having been frozen, with a black tornado tearing everything to pieces.

"Right." Michele said. "We must find the Pure Heart Crystals. At all costs."

Michele climbed out of the pool and went to a table. On it, was a small watch-like device. She pressed a button on it. It opened a communication with Amara.

"I feel turbulence in the sea." She said.

"I know." Amara replied, still on her motorbike. "There's something afoot. I think we're close to another crystal."

Meanwhile, not so far away, Lita was walking with Serena and Amy. She asked them where Amara lived. Serena said that it was near to where they were.

"She's pretty fabulous, huh?" Amy said. Lita nodded. Serena asked Lita why she'd want to go to Amara's house. Lita said that Amara might want her scarf back. Serena told Lita that Amara already had a best friend - Michele AKA "Miss Perfect Hair and Skin".

"I like Amara." Amy said. "She's so smart and sweet."

What the girls didn't notice is that they passed by Kaori, who was standing at a bus stop. She smiled to herself as the girls walked off.

"Short and sweet's what this job's gonna be." She said to herself. High above them, a Daimon pod hovered quietly.

As Lita, Amy and Serena continued to walk together, a gust of wind suddenly came up, and snatched the scarf from Lita's hands. As Lita zealously chased the scarf down, it floated into the parking lot of a nearby office parking lot. When Lita arrived, the scarf was nowhere in sight. She began to search underneath the cars. She quickly found the scarf. As she reached for it, she was trying to hard to notice the Daimon pod absorb itself into it. Lita got hold of the scarf, and was trying to pull it out, but the scarf suddenly changed into a hand that gripped Lita's. Lita looked and saw that the hand was attached to a Heart Snatcher. She leapt back. The Heart Snatcher's name was, fittingly enough, Scarf. Serena and Amy suddenly arrived and saw the Heart Snatcher. Amy pushed Serena out of view of the monster.

"MOON COSMIC POWER!"

"MERCURY STAR POWER!"

The Heart Snatcher shot ribbons at Lita and encased her entire body in them. Lita couldn't move.

"SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"

Mercury's blast froze the ribbons, and Lita was able to break them off.

"Sailor Moon's the name, and justice is the game!" Sailor Moon shouted. "Now, get lost you scarred up freak!"

"I can't believe they're back here!" Kaori hissed to herself. She suddenly appeared behind the Heart Snatcher. She ordered retreat, and with a mighty jump and a speedy dash, the Heart Snatcher was gone. No one noticed Uranus and Neptune high above on a rooftop.

"She's Heart Snatcher's next target then." Neptune said, looking at Lita.

"But we didn't get to see if she holds a Pure Heart Crystal." Uranus replied. "Silly little twit. She's always getting in our way."

"Maybe we should join them." Neptune said. "We could work together to find the Heart Crystals."

"The Silence is gaining great force." Uranus replied. "We'll have to sacrifice a great deal to keep it from taking control. That's way out of their league."

"So where do we go from here?" Neptune asked.

"Bet those creeps will be back here for sure." Uranus said. "So we stick close to the target."

The next day, Serena came to get Lita after school was out, but Lita was nowhere to be seen. She was in the parking lot from her previous encounter with the Heart Snatcher, looking for Amara's scarf. Serena arrived when she found her.

"I came to get you after class, ya know!" Serena said. Lita said she was sorry, but was looking for Amara's scarf to give it back to her. Serena's feelings were hurt, as she had already planned to take Lita shopping and all sorts of things.

"We can do that any old time." Lita said, blushing.

"Well, what's wrong with right this second?" Serena asked.

"I have to return the scarf." Lita replied. Just then, a yellow car pulled up on the street. It was Amara and Michele. They asked Lita to come along with them. Serena yelled at Lita for ditching her again, and Amara invited Serena. Serena remembered Amara's skill with motorcycles and refused. Lita went along with Amara.

"This is Michele." Amara said to Lita as she sped down the street. "We go to school together."

"It's nice to finally meet you, officially." Michele said.

Lita returned the courtesy and asked what year of high school they were in. Michele was only a first year student, while Amara was the right age to drive a car. Lita asked how they met, and Michele said that they were cousins, inseperable since they were born.

"We can almost read each other's minds." Amara said.

"Like best friends?" Lita asked.

"Sort of like you and Meatball Head too." Amara replied.

"She drives me nuts!" Lita said. "But then, I know deep down she'll always be there when I need her."

"You must have a truly pure heart to think that way. That's why I wanted to get to know you better. We could use some true friends in this town." Amara said. Lita blushed even more.

"She what?!" Amy, Raye and Mina shouted at Serena. Serena told them that Lita got into Amara's car and went to get ice cream with them.

"In a convertable?" Raye said.

"Sounds fantastic." Amy added.

"I'd blow off Study Buddies for once to do that!" Mina said. Serena told them about the plans she had, and Mina was disappointed that they would have gone shopping without her. Raye got mad because she would have wasted another afternoon waiting for Serena to show up. Amy told Raye that they could've still gotten some things done. Serena revealed a love quiz magazine that Raye was hiding underneath her books, and Raye and Serena got ready to fight.

"Enough!" Amy shouted, banging on the table. "Grow up already!"

The girls stopped and looked at her, shocked. Amy's face turned bright red. She said that Lita could be in some danger. The girls all agreed to go out and find her.

Meanwhile, Michele, and Amara looked out at the sea from the docks at sunset. Lita was on her own, talking into her communicator.

"We'll be there as fast as we can." Amy said.

"I appreciate your concern Amy, but things are fine. It's nice to make new friends, you know?" Lita replied. She looked out at Amara for a moment, but was then distracted by the sounds of Serena, Raye and Mina yelling at her for ditching them. Lita chuckled.

"Who would have thought that a car ride would have made such a difference?" She said. She looked back at Amara. Lita closed the communication as Amara waved at her. Just as Lita was about to go over to them, Amara spotted the Heart Snatcher right behind Lita. The Heart Snatcher opened its cape, and Lita hid her eyes, afraid that the Heart Snatcher was exposing itself. When she looked up, the Heart Snatcher was clothed.

The Heart Snatcher wrapped Lita's body in ribbons again, and drew her close. Before the Heart Snatcher could do anything, a rock struck it in the face, knocking the mask it was wearing off. It was Amara, shouting at the Heart Snatcher to let Lita go. Lita told them to run.

"If anyone's going to run, it's gonna be Fang Face!" Amara said.

"Just run, you don't know what you're dealing with!" Shouted Lita.

Scarf shot a spiralling ribbon from its arm and knocked Amara and Michele into some nearby bushes. Kaori descended and told Scarf to get the Heart Crystal. At point blank, the Heart Snatcher shot its black beam. Uranus and Neptune stood in the shadows quietly while Lita's Heart Crystal was extracted. Kaori got a hold of it. Suddenly, an orange ball of energy knocked the crystal out of her hand. She looked down and saw Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. Kaori told Scarf to get the crystal back, and disappeared. While Scarf fought Uranus, Lita laid there on the ground.

Sailor Soldiers, I still have a chance. She thought to herself. But why did they wait so long? Why did they wait for my heart to be captured?

Neptune inspected the crystal.

"Need any help, girls?" A voice rang out. Everyone stopped and looked upwards.

"We are Sailor Soldiers, the Champions of Justice! We will right wrongs and triumph over evil! And in case you didn't know it, 'evil' means you!"

Venus and Mars engaged the Heart Snatcher, while Neptune inspected the crystal. She found nothing. Sailor Moon pleaded with Uranus and Neptune to return the Heart Crystal. They returned it. Neptune looked at the fighting Sailors.

"Looks like someone needs our help." Neptune said.

"Bit of a bind, I'd say." Uranus quipped. Sure enough, the Heart Snatcher had Venus and Mars wrapped up in its ribbons.

"NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!"

The submerging effect of Neptune's attack distracted the Heart Snatcher long enough to cause its ribbons to vanish. Meanwhile, Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury inspected Lita. She seemed to be alright, even if a little shaken up.

"JUPITER STAR POWER!"

The monster rushed towards the Sailors, ready to attack.

"SUPREME THUNDER CRASH!"*

The power of Jupiter's attack weakened the monster.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

The Daimon pod came out of the scarf and broke. The spirit inside evaporated into the air. Amara's scarf flew away into the wind. Uranus and Neptune turned around to leave.

"Hold it!" Jupiter shouted. Uranus and Neptune stopped. "I'm not sure what you're up to, but you seem to have more interest in keeping Heart Crystals than returning them! You're no better than those evil creatures."

"Don't push your luck." Uranus said sternly. Jupiter leapt at Uranus. Her punch was blocked, and Uranus landed a solid punch into Jupiter's stomach. Jupiter fell to the ground. The girls ran to Jupiter while Uranus and Neptune left the scene.

"Not a good move." Neptune said while she and Uranus were running. "You should've gone easy on her."

Neptune looked at Uranus' hand, and saw a wound. Meanwhile, Jupiter had found Amara's scarf. Mercury found Amara and Michele in the bushes unconscious. After they had reverted to their human states, the girls went and attempted to awaken Amara and Michele. Amara, feigning ignorance, sat up and wondered where the monster had gone.

"Sailor Moon and her gang sent that creep packing." Michele said. Lita suddenly hugged Amara tight, sobbing quietly. She suddenly looked at Amara's hand, which had a large bleeding scratch on it. She tied Amara's own scarf around the wound.

"I was going to bring it back to your place one of these days." Lita said. "But it looked like Scarface saved me the trip."

Amara smiled. Lita took in the happiness of the moment.

"Hey, does Artemis do that thing where he claws your nose to get up in the morning?" Serena asked Mina. All the girls except Lita were walking together.

"No, but I know he taught Luna that." Mina replied.

"Tricky." Raye said. "Maybe we'll try that trick next time you fall asleep at Study Buddies."

Mina tried to keep the girls from fighting. Amy glanced into a store and saw Lita trying on a scarf. Lita smiled at herself and admired her new garment.
