At Mina's school, two students were talking about getting momentos of their high school lives. Mina slammed her book closed and walked out of the classroom. As she walked out of the school, couples ran by, going to various locations. Mina however, walked alone. She stopped for a moment.

"Wait!" She exclaimed. "They're acting all lovey-dovey just to spite me!" Just then, Artemis jumped down in front of her. "What's up, Artemis?"

"I'm sorry, but even with the computer's help, I haven't been able to identify the enemy." Artemis said. "I entered every bit of information we have and came up with nothing. It seems that a genetic pod merges with something in this world and becomes a monster called a Daimon Heart Snatcher."

Artemis didn't know where they were from, but Mina's thoughts seemed elsewhere.

"Sometimes when I reach the end of the day, I wonder what my life is all about and what I should do with it." She said.

"One thing we should do is to look for information about what they want." Artemis said.

"Well, I can tell you that I mean something different!" Mina said. Artemis looked up at her perplexed. "I wonder who's that famous poet who wrote all those love sonnets. It said something like 'teen love is a wonderful thing'."

Mina wanted a guy who would worship her and shower her with roses, saying "Mina, would you go out with me to the ball tonight?".

"When, oh when will fortune smile on me and put him on my path? My darling blue knight?"

Just then, a volleyball rolled out of the nearby gymnasium and rolled into Mina's ankle. She picked it up and then saw someone who had come to get it.

"Hi Jamie." She said, picking up the ball. Jamie said hello, and Mina bumped the ball to him, almost as if to show how well she could play volleyball. "So Jamie, do you still play for the volleyball league?" She asked.

"I'll play in the league until summer because I want to help the team in the finals." Jamie said. "But, I'll be preparing for my high school exam at the same time."

Mina wished him good luck. Jamie was about to go back into the gym, but stopped and turned around.

"Tell me, Mina." He said. Mina looked at him. "Why did you stop playing volleyball after you came back from England?" Mina down for a moment. "I remember the way you intercepted the ball was amazing." He said. He recalled the most amazing move made by anyone in volleyball he'd ever seen. The ball was speeding towards the court, threatening to earn a point for the opposing team. Mina dove and hit the ball back perfectly, ending her dive with a flip that landed her on her feet. "Why did you stop?" Jamie asked.

"Well, I didn't really want to." Mina replied. "Life got in the way."

The two stared at each other for a moment, smiling. It ended when Jamie was called back to the court. Jamie and Mina parted. Artemis looked up at Mina.

"Mina?" He said. Mina looked down to him. "Nothing. It's okay."

That night, Mina was in her pajamas and getting ready for bed. She looked at the volleyball on her shelf and recalled the interception. She was cheered on by Jamie. She went to her window and looked out at the night sky.

"You miss volleyball." Artemis said. "And Jamie."

"More than I realized." Mina replied.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tomo was in his lab, examining some micro organisms in a microscope.

"Dr. Tomo," Kaori said from behind, "I've brought you some tea." Dr. Tomo looked up at her. "I thought you might need some milk and cookies."

"Thank you for the tea and cookies. You're the perfect assistant." Dr. Tomo said, standing up. "Although, you'd be using your talents better if you'd found those Pure Heart Crystals."

"Sorry."

"I'm sorry to say this, but if you keep on failing in your search, don't you think we should look into the way you're conducting it?"

"I'm sorry, Dr. Tomo."

Dr. Tomo took a cup of tea from the tray and drank from it. He started to sooth the pain in his neck.

"You can't go on like that." He said. "I've been so tied up in my experiments that I'm in really bad shape now. But yes, I've got an idea. Do you remember that saying: 'A sound mind and a sound body'? Yes, we need an athlete! You should find a young man with a pure heart who devotes himself totally to his sport!"

"What a splendid idea, Doctor!" Kaori said. Dr. Tomo chuckled and sipped his tea again.

With that, Dr. Tomo sent Kaori on her way with a Daimon pod.

The next day, Mina and Artemis were walking to school. Jamie ran up to them and began to walk with Mina.

"You're never at school this early." Jamie said. "I have to come early for practice."

"Yeah, but maybe I have a reason to come now." Mina teased. There was a ring of truth to it. Jamie chuckled.

"I wanted to ask you." He said. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Mina looked up at him, blushing. She asked him why he asked. "I was just curious, that's all." He said. Artemis in the meantime, noticed that Jamie and Mina were walking with perfect synchronicity.

"So what kind of girl do you go for, Jamie?" Mina asked. Jamie wanted a girl who was in the volleyball league.

"And in fact," he said pausing, "Well... you know... when we were together the first year, I always thought you were really special. You were our team's ace player. You were a star when I was a pinch hitter. I've wanted to tell you since I became a regular on the team."

Mina stopped walking. Jamie stopped with her.

"Wow!" Mina said, more red than anything in existance. "You really know how to make compliments! Well, it's nice, anyway." She looked towards the ground.

"You don't play volleyball anymore?" He asked.

"No." Mina said after a moment. "Not since I went up another grade."

"Too bad." Jamie replied. "But I suppose you're studying."

"Well yeah." Mina said. "But I keep busy with all kinds of other things now too." Artemis looked at Mina almost ruefully.

"But no volleyball." Jamie said. Mina said she didn't have enough time. Jamie ran ahead, needing to get to practice.

At the practice, Jamie was practicing his bumps, and Kaori appeared at the doorway. No one seemed to notice as she targeted her prey and disappeared.

After school, the girls were at Raye's house. Mina was laughing about a Sailor V comic she was reading. She picked Serena's sleeping head off the table and showed her Sailor V without her mask. Serena cared more about sleep, and Mina laughed that if she was Sailor V, she could get any boy she wanted. The girls looked at her confused. Mina had also gotten Sailor V candy bars which were good for watching weight. She gave one to Lita, who peeled off the wrapper. She noticed some writing on it, which meant she won a point. The points were used to collect prizes.

"Mina, I don't think you've studied any of your subjects today." Amy said.

"Yeah, here we go again!" Mina said. "Miss Amy, teacher's pet has spoken! I'm sorry your majesty, but Mina, defender of love and justice, hates studying, and on top of that, she doesn't mind failing her exams once in a while! And she doesn't care!" Mina laid back and looked at the ceiling. "Maybe I should leave the Sailor Scouts for a while.

The girls' confusion turned to shock. Mina laughed her comment off, and left because she couldn't concentrate. Artemis started to go after her, but was stopped by the girls, who told him that she needed to be alone.

Meanwhile, Jamie was practicing his spikes, and Kaori appeared once again. She let the Daimon pod go, and it absorbed itself into a basket of volleyballs. At that moment, Mina was at the arcade, experiencing road rage on her favorite racing game. She crashed her car and her game was over. Just then, Amara appeared and the two went for a walk.

"Say Amara," Mina said, "do you have a boyfriend now?"

"No, I don't. I told you already." Amara replied. Mina thought that someone would have to be very talented to be a friend of Amara's.

"Would your friend play a team sport, or be an artist, or something like that?" She asked.

"What would you want to know about my friend?" Amara said.

"I suppose you think I'm being too curious, but I'd like to know with the type of work you do, what kind of friends you have. Aren't you lonely sometimes when you realize racing isn't everything in life?"

"You mean do I mind making sacrifices for my sport all the time?"

"Well..."

"Well, you're right. My sport means so much to me that I sometimes forget all about happiness. But it is as it should be, and my cousin and my other friends take care of my social life. You see, I'm not lonely without a boyfriend. I don't think about it at all. That's the way I am. I'm into racing so much, that I sometimes forget everything else around me. That's my lifestyle, and the friends who love me understand and like me for it. It's the real me."

Just then, Amara had a flash in her head. A bad feeling. She had to go. Mina and Amara said their goodbyes.

"I bet there are more important things." She said to herself. In the meantime, Amara had met with Michele.

The ocean is starting to churn up." Michele said.

Meanwhile, Jamie continued his practice into the night. Mina stood outside, preparing to ask Jamie out. Inside, Jamie was practicing his serves, and Mina went to the door. She peaked in just in time to see a girl kiss Jamie on the cheek, while Jamie confirmed their date. Just then, Jamie picked up a volleyball and it flashed brightly. It became a Heart Snatcher.

"Come on guys!" Mina said into her communicator. "Here's an enemy!"

"VENUS STAR POWER!"

The Heart Snatcher, resembling a hardcore sports fan, created a pink ball of explosive energy and spike served it at Jamie and his girlfriend. The two jumped out of the way.

"Wait a minute!" A voice shouted before the Heart Snatcher could attack again. Jamie looked to the stage and saw someone there. "I stand for justice, and I stand for love!" She shouted. "I shall punish you in the name of Venus! I'm Sailor Venus!"

The Heart Snatcher shot another ball of energy at Sailor Venus.

"VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!"

Venus' chain outmatched the Heart Snatcher's attack. As Venus was trying to yell at the Heart Snatcher, a glowing net of energy appeared and trapped her. Venus fell to the floor. The Heart Snatcher went over to Jamie and took a position as if to bump a volleyball. The black star on this Heart Snatcher was formed by that position on her hands, and a black beam was shot at Jamie's heart. His Heart Crystal was extracted, and Kaori inspected it. It had nothing. Meanwhile, Serena was watching from outside the door. Kaori ordered the elimination of Sailor Venus.

"MOON COSMIC POWER!"

The Heart Snatcher advanced towards Venus, but was suddenly stopped when a flying tiara hit it, and freed Venus from the netting. Kaori and the Heart Snatcher turned around and beheld Sailor Moon.

"You're a bunch of sore losers!" Sailor Moon shouted. "And I'll destroy you all! I'll give you a volleyball game you won't forget! And we'll play by my rules! I'll outdo myself, and you won't believe your eyes, monsters! I'm Sailor Moon! I fight for fair play, and I fight for love!"

Kaori disappeared, and left the Heart Crystal with the Heart Snatcher. The Heart Snatcher put the crystal into a ball of energy and spiked it at Sailor Moon. Suddenly, Sailor Jupiter appeared and bumped the ball into the air. Mercury sent it high into the air, and Mars finally caught it.

"Great play!" Venus said.

The Heart Snatcher waved its arms around and the pink ball began to shoot about the room. The Sailors dodged it as fast as it was moving. Venus looked at Jamie as the Sailors began to lose hope.

"I'll catch that ball! Come on, Heart Snatcher, try me!" Venus shouted. The Heart Snatcher served the ball with amazing power and speed. Jamie watched, and the other Sailors gasped with horror. Venus lined herself up, and did her trademark save: She jumped towards the ball, hit it, and flipped to land on her feet.

I recognize that style when she recieves. Jamie thought to himself. That's it, I know! Sailor Venus must be Mina!

The ball sailed all the way to Sailor Mars. Sailor Moon stepped up.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

The volleyball fell to the ground, as did the Daimon pod. It burst, sending its spirit into the air. The girls cheered on, while Neptune and Uranus were behind the stage curtains.

"I don't think we were needed here today." Neptune said. Venus gave the victory sign.

The next day, Jamie was walking with his girlfriend, who wanted to go to a concert. He stopped and said hi to Mina.

"You know," he said, "if, by chance, you happen to come across Sailor Venus somewhere, can you please give her a message? Please tell her that I appreciate her saving my life. Do you think you could tell her that?"

"Are you serious?" Mina replied. "Well yeah, I can see you are. So I promise, I'll tell her myself."

Jamie nodded and went on his way with his girlfriend. Mina giggled, and started walking home. She suddenly stopped when she heard a voice.

"Pretty girl?" It said. Mina looked up in a tree and saw a bouquet of roses. Artemis came out from behind them. "Would you like to go out with me to the ball tonight?" He asked. He tossed the roses down to her. She looked at them for a second, and looked up at Artemis with tears in her eyes.

"I guess I'll have to think about it." She said with a smile.
