Sailor Moon Episode 117

Episode title: Who's Really Who?

"At last, a new era of darkness is close at hand." Dr. Tomo said, chuckling. He and Mistress Nine were looking into a large dome, which served as a portal to another part of the galaxy. "All we're missing is the Purity Chalice. Once you have it in your possession, you set it down inside this special device, and you shall reign in glory as gloom for the arrival of Pharoah Ninety, Ruler of Different Dimensions." As Tomo continued to talk, Mistress Nine felt herself weakening horribly. She and Tomo watched in glee as Pharoah Ninety approached them through the view of the dome. Meanwhile, Darien continued to lend his life energy to Rini, and Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina approached Mugen School.

"We've got to settle it this time, you guys." Raye said, breaking the silence. Rubble lay all around them, remnants from the previous explosions at the school.

"Right. Rini's counting on us." Mina said.

"And Hotaru too!" Amy added. "We've got to save them both!"

Lita said, "This is the biggest test Planet Power's gonna face. We've gotta do it for love and justice."

The girls decided it was time. The all looked towards Mugen School, and called out for all the power they could muster.

"MERCURY STAR POWER!"

"MARS STAR POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER!"

"VENUS STAR POWER!"

"MOON COSMIC POWER!"

"WE ARE ONE!"

Meanwhile, a helicopter flew high above Tokyo. Inside were Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Pluto.

"There's no time to waste, guys." Uranus said, looking at their target. "We can't let the Sovereign of Silence rise. Our future depends on us. Our mission's all coming down to this move. Everything we've fought for is at stake. I just hope Planet Power will protect us."

"It's served us well so far I'd say." Neptune said. "I don't see why that should change now. Especially when we're so close to stopping the negative forces."

"I hope you're right, Neptune. I hope you're right." Uranus said. Pluto, who was sitting in the back, hoped so as well.

At Mugen, Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts charged towards the building. Inside, Mistress Nine was sitting upon a large throne.

"The Purity Chalice is coming ever closer." Mistress Nine said.

"Are you sure?" Tomo asked. Mistress Nine nodded.

"Like a moth fluttering to the flame, it will come at my bidding." She said. Tomo smiled widely. Mistress Nine instructed Tomo to keep any intruders from interrupting her rest. She evoked an odd power inside her.

Outside, Sailor Mars suddenly stopped. The Sailor Scouts were wondering what happened, and Sailor Mars pointed them towards the Mugen School. They all reeled as a large, dark dome began to encase the building. The only opening was a large star shape at the top of the dome. In Tomo's lab, all the hundreds of thousands of Daimon pods broke out of their test tubes, and shattered, releasing an odd, viscous fluid from the inside. The fluid arose from the ground, in the shape of humanoid monsters, and began their ascent into the outside world.

Sailor Mercury was scanning the school. She found that the only way in was a Sailor Teleport. Before they could attempt it, however, Mistress Nine summoned the Daimon pod monsters, and they all began to exit the school in a slow crawl. They oozed out of every cracked window and space of the building, retaking their forms as they landed on the ground. They suddenly looked up at the Sailor Scouts, bearing white, sharp fangs, and leapt out of the forcefield with no problems. In a giant wash of fluid, the monsters attacked and covered the Sailor Scouts.

"SPARKLING WIDE PRESSURE!"

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!"

Both Jupiter and Venus' powers smashed the Daimon monsters, ripping them to pieces.

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!"

Sailor Mars' power succeeded in freeing her from any captors she might have had. It seemed to prove fruitless, however. Daimon after Daimon leapt out of the forcefield, outnumbering the Sailor Scouts in seconds. The destroyed Daimons reformed, and continued their attack.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

Sailor Moon's power spread like a supernova, destroying every Daimon in its radius. Unaffected, more Daimons leapt out from behind the force field, ready to fight. The Sailor Scouts were once again outnumbered.

Inside, Mistress Nine was panting hard, exhausted.

"Careful, you don't want to overtax your energies." Tomo said.

"I'm fine, Doctor." Mistress Nine replied. "I've completed my task."

"Care to fill me in?" Tomo asked.

Mistress Nine smiled. "Mugen School is now the Omega Zone, shielded by dark energy." She said. "Inpenetrable. No one will be able to set foot in here without an invitation."

"Excellent." Tomo said. Mistress Nine raised her hand, which was glowing with an odd energy. "What's with the hand?" Tomo asked.

"It will bring the Chalice to me." Mistress Nine said. She reached out into the air, and the glowing part of her arm seemed to vanish into it.

Back outside, the Sailor Scouts continued their valiant fight against the Daimon monsters. They were surrounded again, but fortunately, Sailor Moon had time to power up.

"MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!"

The Daimon monsters were destroyed. The Sailor Scouts took the opportunity to attempt a Sailor Teleport. Before they could, however, a small portal appeared in the air and a hand reached out and grabbed Sailor Moon by the neck. The Sailor Scouts tried their hardest to keep Sailor Moon from being pulled in, but the Daimon monsters came to work. They surrounded the Sailor Scouts, shocked them with dark energies, and then flung them away from Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon disappeared into the portal, and the Daimon monsters retreated for the time being, becoming somewhat of a moat for Mugen School. The "moat" rose and covered Mistress Nine's barrier, reinforcing it. The Sailor Scouts stood in almost despair, trying to think of a way in.

Meanwhile, the helicopter carrying the Outer Sailor Scouts continued towards it's target, Mugen School. They saw the barrier around the School, and flew towards the star opening on the top of the barrier. Suddenly, the Daimon monsters leapt out at the helicopter, and tangled it within their gooey bodies. They began to shock the helicopter as they had the Sailor Scouts. The shocks caused Uranus, Pluto and Neptune immense pain, and began to overload the circuitry in the helicopter. The panel began to explode, and the entire helicopter followed, in a bright orange corona of flames.

Sailor Uranus opened her eyes. Neptune did too. They looked around them. The helicopter had exploded, but everything seemed stopped, like the world was on pause. The pieces of the helicopter hovered in mid air all around them, but everything was stopped. They looked to find Sailor Pluto, and there she was with her Garnet Rod shimmering.

"What happened?" Uranus asked.

"I stopped time for you." Pluto replied. "Now go on while my power still holds."

"You stopped time?" Uranus said.

"You never told us you could do that." Neptune added.

Pluto kept her stance. "Honestly, I couldn't." She said. "It is forbidden, and I'll be punished. My mission as time keeper is now over. You must go."

"You mission is over?" Uranus asked, looking in shock.

"What's going to happen to you now?" Asked Neptune.

"Go." Pluto replied. "And if you find the real Sovereign..."

Before the two could reply, Pluto teleported them to their destination. They looked up outside the dome, as the helicopter exploded with a loud crash.

"Clever of them to stop time to save themselves, and allow them to gain access to our domain." Mistress Nine said, still upon her throne.

"They may be clever, Sovereign." Tomo said. "But they're certainly still no match for your skill and power. Mostly, they just get lucky."

Mistress Nine nodded. "And I was lucky to get that pure heart energy from that pipsqueak, Rini." She said. "It helped me tremendously."

"Don't use poor Rini's Heart Crystal." Mistress Nine suddenly said. She said it in Hotaru's voice, though. "She's just a child. Please let it go." Mistress Nine suddenly felt a lot weaker.

"Something wrong, Sovereign?" Tomo asked.

"No, nothing!" Mistress Nine said in frustration. "Just a momentary dip in my energy flow." Mistress Nine suddenly had an idea. She changed her form into Hotaru's. She instructed Tomo that she was going to get the Chalice from Sailor Moon, and he was to take care of the Sailor Scouts, and the ones that dared to intrude on her domain.

Outside, the barrier surrounding the Mugen School began to increase in radius. To stop it, the Sailor Scouts decided to invoke the powers of their Sailor Box. They each stood at a corner to form the box. They were far away enough to contain the dome, and to see each other as they formed it. Using the powers invoked from the Sailor Teleport, the girls each connected a wall of energy around the dome, preventing it from growing any further.

Sailor Moon awoke in a room with a sore feeling around her throat. She looked around for the Sailor Scouts. The only person she found was Hotaru, who was unconscious on the ground. Meanwhile, Neptune and Uranus ran down an odd looking hallway. They stopped when they saw what looked like empty monster suits along the wall. Dr. Tomo walked towards them, laughing.

"My creations." He said. "Ultra performant beings designed to protect our school. After all, can't lower our admission standards. You are aware you're trespassing on very private territory."

"And you're standing on shaky ground." Uranus retorted. "This school's gonna be out for summer and then some, fraud!"

"What a pity." Tomo replied. One of the lenses on his glasses started to shimmer. "Such clever young ladies. Too bad you didn't enroll and make those sharp brains free for Daimon use. Just like my all-time favorite pupil: Tomo!"

Tomo began to laugh loudly and heartily, while Neptune and Uranus looked on quietly. Suddenly, a giant monster erupted from the odd eye-shaped etching in Tomo's glasses. Tomo fell to the ground unconscious, and his glasses lacked the eye shape in the lense. A huge, one-eyed creature loomed before the two Sailor Scouts. Neptune was shocked to find that Tomo was the pawn in this.

"URANUS WORLD SHAKING!"

Uranus' power smashed the creature hard, and it exploded. Pieces of it rained down to the ground. The laughing of the monster was still echoing in the halls, and the pieces slithered into the empty monster bodies. The bodies seemed to inflate. There were many, and they charged the two Sailors.

"NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!"

Neptune's power smashed the monsters back to the ground. There were still many more to defeat. As Uranus and Neptune hit the monsters, they didn't seem very solid. When a part of them would get kicked or punched, that part seemed to deflate like a balloon. They were very elastic, and they were able to trap the two Sailor Scouts. Uranus and Neptune watched anxiously as the monsters prepared to strike.

"Use your treasures!" A voice boomed out. Suddenly, by Uranus, her saber appeared. Neptune also recieved her mirror. The glowing of the two Crystal Treasures dissolved their bonds, and the two grabbed hold of their weapons. Sailor Neptune held up her mirror, and directed the reflecting surface at the monsters. The monsters seemed to become translucent, and weakened. There was only one left, that wasn't affected by the mirror. Uranus unsheathed her saber, and charged at the monster. She leapt at the monster and stabbed the saber deep into the monster's head. The monster laughed, but it was silenced when its body was ripped apart. The saber landed on the ground, impaling a Daimon pod. The pod broke, and released the spirit inside. All the monsters in the room fell to dust.

Sailor Uranus picked up her saber, and the two continued on to the Sovereign of Silence, heeding the voice of Pluto, who cautioned them of the dangers.

"Ho...taru..." Tomo muttered when he came to.

Meanwhile, Sailor Moon was helping Hotaru.

"The Purity Chalice." Hotaru said weakly.

"What about it?" Sailor Moon asked. "Have you seen it, Hotaru?"

"No." Hotaru replied weakly. "I just overheard them saying that if Super Sailor Moon made the Chalice shine, it would be the end of the negative force. You have to go, Sailor Moon. You can't be captured by them. You have to try to get out of here. Don't worry about me."

"I do have to go." Sailor Moon said. "To save Rini. But, I'd like to take her best friend too." Hotaru thanked her.

"I'm too weak though, Serena." Hotaru said. "You go on. I'd only slow you down." Sailor Moon's smile disappeared. "Please save Rini for me. Please, Serena!"

"Serena?" Sailor Moon said. "How come you... How did you know my name is Serena, Hotaru? Did Rini tell you?"

Suddenly, Hotaru grinned widely, with an intense evil. "Hotaru, is that you in there, or not?" Sailor Moon asked."

"Well, sort of." Hotaru said with Mistress Nine's voice. "The body is. Gotcha, Sailor Moon!"

"What'd you do with Hotaru?" Sailor Moon asked as Hotaru laughed. "Where is she?"

Hotaru rose into the air. "She's here, she's just taking a long, long nap! Now, there's no wake up call in sight! I'm the life force of Tau Nebula, power of the new future, Diva of Different Dimensions!" Hotaru reverted back into Mistress Nine. "I am the Mistress Nine!" She said. She laughed as a black star appeared on her forehead. Her hair grew to enormous lengths and spread about the room.

"Finally, we're face to face!" Uranus shouted. Sailor Moon looked behind her and saw an opened door with the two figures in it.

"There won't be any new future for you, Mistress Nine!" Neptune said. "That I guarantee!"

"Uranus, Neptune, hold on!" Sailor Moon pleaded.

"Sailor Moon, get out of our way!" Sailor Uranus shouted. "She has to be stopped!" Sailor Moon started when she heard Mistress Nine chuckling behind her.

"Our future depends on it!" Neptune said. "Your future depends on it!"

Behind Sailor Moon, Mistress Nine swung open a huge curtain. Behind that curtain was the huge dome that served as a portal to the Tau Nebula.

"Sailor Scouts, eternal optimists!" Mistress Nine said. "I'm afraid you're too late. The future is now! The future is mine!" She turned towards the dome, which had increased greatly in size. "Pharoah Ninety, can I ask you to wait a little while longer? I have some loose ends to tie up!"

Sailor Moon looked on in shock.

"What'd she say?" Neptune asked.

"Pharoah?" Uranus wondered.

Mistress Nine smiled and cackled evilly in the darkness."Soon, you can welcome your new ruler, and witness the beginning of the Silence!" She shouted.

In the dome, Mistress Nine could clearly see the form of Pharoah Ninety approaching the dome quickly, with a dark aura of power around it.
