Sailor Moon episode 54

Episode title: Serena Times Two

"So, Rubeus," the woman in purple began, "is this really the old city of Tokyo?"

"Yeah." Said the man, Rubeus. "Puny little place, isn't it? I thought it would be a lot bigger." The woman in purple continued to address Rubeus, and said that Tokyo would be good for shopping. She suggested getting some lipstick, and Rubeus told her that she had forty different shades. "A girl can never have enough lipstick." The woman argued. "Lighten up, Rubeus." The blue woman said. "Let us have one little spree. You know we always bring something back for you."

"You sisters, such...shop-a-holics." Rubeus said. He told them that shopping would have to wait until they could catch their prey. High above Tokyo, the crystal fortress vanished.

On the river, Serena and Darien watched will the water sparkled beautifully in the sun. After all their troubles with Queen Beryl, Alan and Anne, and even the Moonlight Knight, Serena and Darien could at last be together. Serena thought that the water was beautiful, and Darien agreed. They rowed the small boat to the dock, and as Darien was getting Serena out, he suggested they go for a triple hot fudge sundae. Serena was all for it, but fell into Darien.

"What a klutz!" Darien said to Serena. "But...you're my klutz."

"Darien, do really mean that?" Serena asked, flattered.

"Of course, Meatball Head!"

I love it when you call me that! Serena thought as she and Darien kissed. Darien couldn't get away. "Serena." He asked. "Have you been eating that sticky caramel bubble gum again?" Serena said no. "'Cause I seem to be stuck!" They continued their kiss. Up above Darien, a small pink cloud appeared. From the cloud, a small ball that had Luna's face dropped down, and hit Darien on the head. Not much later, a small girl fell from the cloud, knocking Serena to the ground, and kissing Darien smack on the lips. Darien fell down. "Serena, little help here?" He said. Serena looked up. Serena told the girl to get off Darien. The girl apologized to Darien, and no one noticed the small key dangling from her neck. Serena tried to get the girl's attention, and when the girl turned around, Serena was shocked. The girl looked almost exactly like her! The little girl's hair was pink, and her eyes were red. Her hair was fashioned very much like Serena's, in the respect that she had two "meatballs" on her head. Serena said that it was her hairstyle.

"It's my mom's hairstyle." Said the girl. Serena thought she didn't hear correctly.

"Forget it, lady." The girl said rudely. "I haven't got time to waste. Just give me the Silver Crystal."

"Excuse me!" Serena exclaimed. "Who do you think you are, talking to me like that, and what do you know about the Silver Crystal?"

"I know all about the Imperium Silver Crystal!" The girl replied. Behind Serena, the ball with Luna's face rose into the air. "I want that Crystal now, understand? So, just hand it over, blondie!"

"Can we help you find your parents?" Darien said. "Are you lost or something?" The girl's only reply was telling Darien to be quiet. She asked promptly again for the Crystal, and Serena asked who the girl was. The girl replied, "Fine. I have other ways of getting what I want." With that, the girl disappeared into the sky.

Serena got home in a fit, hoping that when she retired to her room and went to sleep, she would forget the day. She opened the door to her room and let out a loud shriek. Her room was a mess, and Serena ran downstairs to blame Sammy. Serena threatened Sammy, but stopped in her tracks when she caught a brief glimpse of someone she had met before. She saw the little girl. She shouted, asking what the girl was doing there, and had a brief flashback of when she and Darien were talking about the girl. Darien had surmised that the girl was from her past on the Moon, because of the similar hair. Serena snapped back to reality when her mother came in with a tray, telling her to clean her room for their company. Serena simply blew up, asking why the girl was there, and who she was. Sammy simply told her that she was their cousin, Rini.

"And since when do we have a cousin named Rini?!" Serena screamed. Sammy explained that Rini had visited only a year ago. Serena leafed through the photo album that was presented to her, and she said,

"I don't remember any of this."

"I always knew you were a ditz, Serena, but this is unreal." Sammy quipped. Serena screamed once again.

"Is it the world that's going bonkers, or is it me?!!!" Serena's mother looked at her smiling for a minute, then leaned over to her and said,

"It's you, dear. Go take a nap." Serena didn't resist the temptation to scream. Rini told Serena that they could catch up later.

Ketchup?! Serena thought angrily. Yeah, that's what I'll turn you into, you little... Suddenly, Serena heard something, and looked down to see Luna.

"Who is this stupid kid, and what does she want with me?" Serena said in her bath that night. Luna was just outside the bathroom, listening to Serena's incessant complaining. Luna asked Serena if she was sure that Rini mentioned the Imperium Silver Crystal, and Serena said yes. Serena reminded Luna that she slept through Rini's search in her room.

"How awful!" Luna said. "I'm beginning to acquire Serena's sloth- like eating habits!" Serena told Luna not to kid around. In the tub, bubbles began to float up to the surface of the water. Serena sniffed, to see if they were anything to be proud of, and the head of a little girl appeared before her. Rini promptly asked for the crystal, and she and Serena began to fight in the tub.

That night, in Serena's bed, she and Luna were ready for a long night's sleep. Serena drifted off, and dreamed of Darien. Just as she and her love were about to kiss, Rini's voice rang out.

"Smoochy-moochy Meatball Head!"

Serena awoke with a start, and looked into the eyes of Rini, who was in her pajamas. Serena leapt out of bed, and Rini was in her shirt. Serena finally shook Rini onto her bed, and in the process, awoke her family. Serena yelled at Rini to get out of her room, and it was then that her family appeared in the doorway. Serena's mother scolded her for yelling at Rini, and Serena screamed in frustration.

High above the skies in Rubeus' fortress, the purple woman asked why they didn't just use a scanner. Rubeus said to quit griping, as they had company coming.

"What? Now?" The blue woman asked. "But my hair is a total mess!"

In the center of the fortress, a pillar of light emanated from the floor. In the light, a robed man appeared.

"Oh, it's the Wiseman!" The purple woman said. "What an honor!"

The Wiseman simply said that he was disappointed. The blue woman asked if the girl and the Crystal were in the city, and Wiseman was certain. He told Rubeus to get them, and Rubeus assured Wiseman.

At the Cherry Hill Temple, Serena, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina were in the fire room, with Raye consulting the fire. She asked it about Rini, and the fire had nothing. Serena said that she couldn't be crazy (Right?). Raye said,

"I don't know about you, Serena. The fire can only tell me so much."

All Raye could think of, was that the picture was fake, and that they'd have to bring Rini in to hear the truth. Meanwhile, Rini was watching the girls, and didn't like the way their conversation was going.

"They can't all team up against a sweet innocent kid like me!" She said to herself, not realizing the oxymoron.

Some time later, Grandpa was walking with a tray of tea for the girls, who had retired to Raye's room. He saw Rini sitting on the stairs, and stopped to ask what she was doing. Out of nowhere, Rini took her Luna Ball, and told it to make some milk. The Luna Ball obliged, and in a puff of smoke, the Luna Ball was turned into a bottle. She began to sprinkle the milk into the tea, and Grandpa told her to stop. He told her that the girls hated milk in their tea. Rini said it wasn't tea. It was mind control potion. The bottle was shoved into Gramps' mouth, and he fell asleep.

In Raye's room, the girls were seated around a small table. Serena asked Raye if she did all the "hocus-pocus" right. Raye snapped,

"Of course, and it's not hocus-pocus!"

Mina suggested that Serena was over-reacting. Raye said that Serena's life was boring, so she might have taken the chance to jump at something that would distract her. When Serena asked what, Raye said final exams.

"Don't mention final exams!" Amy said. "I'm so far behind, I think I'm going to get an A-!" Everyone sighed. Amy said that she would have to study non-stop. She was, after all, only ten chapters ahead. Mina suggested that Amy get help from Greg (There's a name not heard for awhile).

At Raye's door, Gramps came, with tea and muffins. Raye told him to leave, and he eventually left, complaining. Serena began eating, and the girls looked at her. Serena said,

"What? I left you one each!"

The girls drank their tea, except Serena, and they all fell asleep like Gramps. Serena thought it was a joke. Gramps peered in, and saw them all sleeping. Suddenly, his swelled, and he turned into Rini holding the Luna Ball. She entered, and walked up to Raye.

"Here's the dweeb who thinks she can read fire." Rini said. From nowhere, Serena ripped Rini from the ground, and held her to spank her. Serena said that if Rini was from the Negaverse, she would be hurt. Rini started to bawl loudly, and Serena began to get scared. Rini's crying got increasingly louder, and a beam of intense energy was released.

Not too far away from the temple, in a park, the woman in purple who worked with Rubeus was checking the foreheads of small kids. She looked over, and saw the pillar of light being projected by Rini. She simply looked at it and said to herself,

"The Moon Beam!"

Rini stopped crying, and the woman appeared. She promptly asked Rini for the Crystal, and Serena intervened.

"One, the Crystal isn't hers to give," she said, "and two, your tutu's way last season!"

"You're addressing me?" The woman replied. "You should at least learn my real name. It's Catsy." With that, Catsy fired off a beam of blue fire. Serena ducked in time to see the fire hit a book shelf. Serena attempted to put out the fire, and told Rini to run. Rini took off, with Catsy in hot pursuit. With both gone, Serena said to herself,

"The kid's a brat, but she doesn't deserve this!"

"MOON STAR POWER!!!!!!"

Rini was blasted by Catsy's fire, and was forced to the ground. On Rini's head, was a small crescent moon. Rini told Catsy to go away. Just as Catsy was about to grab Rini, someone who hadn't needed calling for a long time appeared. It was Sailor Moon. Catsy wasn't impressed. She shot a bolt of fire at Sailor Moon, and missed. However, it wasn't a total loss. The fire traced a circle in the ground, and surrounded Sailor Moon. Catsy went for Rini, who had fainted, the moon gone from her forehead. Sailor Moon leapt out of the fire, and ran along a wall. She leapt at Catsy, and hit her in the face, sending her to the ground. Catsy was angry. She was about to blast Sailor Moon when another form appeared. It was Tuxedo Mask. He picked up Rini, and Sailor Moon attacked the surprised Catsy.

"MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!!!!"

Catsy was gone, and Sailor Moon thought that Catsy had been eliminated. Instead, Catsy appeared on the roof of a nearby building. She told Sailor Moon that she would be back. She disappeared. Sailor Moon walked up to Tuxedo Mask. He told her that Rini was fine, just overwhelmed. Sailor Moon asked Tuxedo Mask if he knew who Rini was, and he said not exactly. In his head, he saw a flash, as if to recall something. In his head, he saw a large Crystal tower.

Catsy was looking into her mirror, fixing her face. Rubeus asked where Sailor Moon came from, and Catsy said,

"I don't know, but if my face gets scarred, those pigtails are gone!"

The woman in blue asked if Tuxedo Mask was a sharp dresser.

Serena and Luna looked at Rini as she went to sleep, and contemplated. They didn't think that she was so bad. Serena said good night to Luna. Serena, Rini, and Luna slept in the same bed.

"Not in this bed!" Luna said to herself.
