Sailor Moon episode 57

Episode title: Gramps in a Pickle

"What's this?" Raye asked.

"A-a magazine?!" Gramps said, panicking.

"I can see that, Mr. Comedy!" Raye said. "Now, if you don't mind, could you turn to the two-page spread on page 10!"

"Two-page spread?!" Gramps exclaimed. "I only paid for a one-inch ad! This'll cost a mint!"

"So what's this about you starting a martial arts school?" Raye asked. Gramps said that he was just the advisor, and Chad was teaching. Raye was shocked, and Gramps looked at the temple bell.

"Please prepare Chad for the road ahead." He pleaded. "With the money we make, we'll be able to hire someone new!" He walked away, saying, "So we won't have to listen to Raye's belly-aching about the chores!"

At Serena's books were scattered all over her table.

"Serena studying?" Luna said to herself. "Am I dreaming?" She hopped on the table, to see Serena fast asleep. No. She thought. Serena is! Rini came in, and began to search Serena for the Silver Crystal. She was tickling Serena, and Serena awoke with a jolt, grabbing hold of Rini. Suddenly, she remembered that she had to help Raye at the Temple. Rini was flung onto the floor. There's gotta be an easier way to find that Crystal! Rini thought.

Meanwhile, at the Temple, the girls were selling charms to a huge crowd, and Serena was being suited up in a Kimono.

"Try not to trip!" Said Rini. Serena told Rini to scram. Mina ran out of charms, and asked Lita if she had any. Serena said that they were doing well, and Amy said that they made enough money to cover Temple expenses for a year. Mina said they should try to make enough to hire a dry-cleaner.

"Yeah." Raye said. "Ironing's murder."

"Don't tell me you ironed all those robes by yourself, Raye." Lita said, pointing to a huge stack of boxes.

"Yeah, sure I did!" Raye replied. "Serena never showed up to help."

That evening, Serena, Rini, Luna and Raye were watching Gramps and Chad training in a gym. They saw it all through small holes in the door.

"Wow, your Grandpa's like a big rubber band!" Serena said.

"I know, but I'm really worried about him." Raye said. "His doctor warned him to take it easy. So what does he do? Organizes martial arts classes for the whole world!"

"WOULD YOU BE QUIET!!!!" Gramps burst out of the gym.

"Are you totally bonkers?!" Raye said. "You're going to have a heart attack! You're too old for this!"

"I don't know, Raye." Said Chad. "Seems like he's in pretty good shape to me."

Gramps screamed that it was his temple, and he would do what he pleased. Raye said that she was his granddaughter, and she wouldn't stand by while he made a fool of himself, and disgraced them.

"You're the disgrace!"

"No, you are!"

Raye and Gramps tried to stare each other down, and Raye said,

"Forget it. I'm not getting into a staring contest. Do what you want."

"I never lose!" Gramps gloated. "Nobody ever beats me in a staring contest! Now, who wants to spar a bit with us?"

Serena said that she had to clean her room, and Rini asked what "spar" meant. Serena grabbed Rini, saying that she was helping.

In Rubeus' fortress, the woman in red and gold asked,

"Rubeus, have you seen Catsy? She's got my perfume."

"Catsy's out on a mission, Avery." Said Rubeus. Catsy was at a Temple, which had been identified as a Crystal Point.

Gramps was trying to get flyers out to people, and tried to give them to young girls. They rudely refused, and Gramps was discouraged. Then, the Luna Ball hit his feet, and Rini picked it up. Rini looked him in the eyes, and said,

"You're a funny old man!"

Then, Chad came along, with a hundred women behind him. He said,

"Class is full!"

"You mean they're gonna sign up?" Gramps said. Chad said yes. "Oh boy!" Gramps exclaimed. "Raye's sure going to mad about this!" He laughed with glee.

Late that night, Catsy descended into the gym, and into a boxing ring. She filled the place with Negamoon power, and was pleased with her work.

Raye was cleaning with anger. Serena came along, and said,

"Hey, Raye, watcha doing?"

"Taking a bubble-bath!" Raye snapped. "What does it look like?"

"Yikes! Who got up on the wrong side of the bed?"

"I thought you were off today." Said Luna.

"No!" Replied Raye. "Since 'Karate Chad's out practising, I got stuck with all of his chores!"

"Maybe you're just jealous because Grandpa likes him more!" Serena said. Raye asked,

"Are you trying to be annoying?"

"Not particularly."

Gramps came by with Chad, and was praising Chad. Raye said Gramps was on an adolescent trip, and Serena said that they had to put a stop to it. She brought Raye to fix things up with Grandpa.

Meanwhile, the gym was filled with the girls who had signed up for the self-defence class. Gramps and Chad came in, and began the lesson. Little did they know, Catsy and a Droid were there in disguise. When Gramps said that they would have a lot of fun and came to Catsy, she said,

"Oh, but I want a whole lot more than fun little man. Can you deliver?"

"Whatever you say!" Gramps drooled. Catsy said that since it was a self-defence class, they should try hand to hand combat. One of the girls was terrified, and the Droid, Rhonda, knocked the lady into the ring. Rhonda took the girl, and threw her high into the air. The girl landed with a loud thud, and Serena and Raye saw it through the peep holes in the door. Behind them, Rini asked what they thought, and Raye and Serena looked. There, standing in a gym suit, was Rini. She was posing, and Serena forbade going into the gym. They let Rini see what was happening, and when the girl hit the ground again, Rini was scared, and ran away. Serena said,

"Well, she's just like me."

Rhonda kicked the girl into the ring's ropes, and Gramps released the girl, saying that he didn't want this kind of school.

"Gotta tell ya, Pops." Catsy said. "You run a self-defence school, you've gotta strut your stuff!"

Just then, Chad, accompanied by Serena and Raye, came in. He told Gramps that no one had to fight, and Gramps said that it was his school. Catsy said,

"Right. Show us what you got, Pops." Chad told Catsy to quit goading Grandpa. Raye said,

"Why does he have to fight?"

"That's my granddaughter, Raye." Gramps explained. "She thinks I'm too old for this, and I should get a rocking chair. Can you imagine that?"

Raye and Chad tried to reason with Gramps, but he ended up choosing the ring. Serena said to let Chad fight for him, and Chad left in disappointment. Raye stormed up to Gramps.

"Oh, that's just great! When you get whomped on, don't come to me to pick up the pieces, okay!"

"I'm gonna win!" Gramps shouted. "If you're not with me, then get out of here!"

In Raye's room, Mina asked if Raye was really certain if she didn't want to at least watch. Raye said that didn't care, and Lita said that no one was in Gramps' corner.

"Raye," Amy said, "you know your Grandpa only acts that way sometimes to tease us. He's really very smart. He's the one getting me through Trig!"

"I keep thinking about that woman." Serena said. "I feel like I've met her somewhere before." Raye poured some hot water. "Why'd she want him to fight?" Serena wondered. "It's all so weird!"

"Didn't you hear me?" Raye said, her anger rising. "I said I don't care!"

"I don't believe that!" Serena said. "After all he's done for you..."

Without warning, Raye spilled some of the water, and Mina said that if it worried her so much, she should go stop the fight.

In the gym, the girl hit the floor again. Energy was building up, and the women started to attack each other. Gramps told them to stop, and when one of the girls tried to hit him, he brought them all down in a single blow. Catsy laughed. She told Rhonda to take care of Gramps. Rhonda broke out of her disguise, and revealed her true form. Gramps was knocked down easily, and just as Rhonda was about to drive her spiked elbow into Gramps' old body, Raye came and pushed him out of the way. The elbow hit Raye's ankle, and she winced in pain. Gramps got angry, and tried to fight Rhonda. Rhonda tried to kick Gramps, and he easily dodged, but an unexpected second kick came for him, and once again, Raye got in the way. They were sent flying into one of the corners, and Rhonda started stomping on Raye's back.

"You're right, I'm all washed up!" Gramps said, as Raye withstood blow after blow. "I'm so stupid!"

"No, Grandpa." Replied Raye. "You're not stupid. You're the greatest champion on Earth, and the greatest Grandpa."

Just then, Rhonda charged herself up, and fired a blast of energy at the two. Gramps pushed Raye out of the way, and the blast hit him. Gramps was on the ground.

"MOON STAR POWER!!!!!"

"Let's give him the Spiral Spike!" Catsy said. Rhonda launched her high into the air, and Catsy charged up. Just as she was about to release her energy, something flew at her, knocking off her equilibrium.

"Who's there? Who threw that disc?" She asked. A shadow appeared on the wall.

"I'm Sailor Moon." Said the form. "And I know just what you're up to! I recognize that sorry tu-tu! I will fight to protect this temple from evil! I'm Sailor Moon! I'm stronger than I was before, and I'm gonna knock you out!"

Catsy told Rhonda to finish off Sailor Moon, and the Droid obliged. A blast of energy streaked towards Sailor Moon, but something got in the way. The blast was dispelled, and the something fell, and planted itself into the ground. It was a small red rose.

"Tuxedo Mask, you came again!" Sailor Moon exclaimed. Tuxedo Mask said,

"Haven't you figured it out yet, Sailor Moon? We're partners against evil. I'll always be here when you need help."

Tuxedo Mask leapt into the air, and Rhonda went to meet him. In mid air, Tuxedo Mask kicked Rhonda, and while the Droid was dazed, Sailor Moon attacked.

"MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!!!!"

Like the others before her, Rhonda was reduced to a pile of dust. A small crystal settled on the pile, and turned from red to black. Catsy said,

"This is a total embarrassment! I won't let you turn me off, she's a Dread!"

Catsy shot a bolt of fire at Sailor Moon, and missed. The fire blew a hole in the wall, and Sailor Moon ran. Catsy went after her, and Tuxedo Mask left as well. Raye was left, cradling Grandpa. She said,

"Everything will be okay, Grandpa. I promise. You just rest." She stood up. "I'm gonna get that lady for this!"

"MARS STAR POWER!!!!"

Catsy fired a bolt of blue flames at Sailor Moon, but Sailor Mars came and pushed Sailor Moon out of the way. Sailor Mars attacked.

"MARS FIRESTAR FLASH!!"

A beam of fire streaked for Catsy, and was met by the power of Catsy's Ice Fire. The two battled with all their might, Sailor Mars trying her hardest. She began to weaken, and Catsy laughed as she was winning. Sailor Moon wanted to help, but Tuxedo Mask stopped her. "Hey, Grandpa, you with me?" Mars thought. "Lend me your strength to vanquish this Nega-monster! I believe in you, Gramps. Let's beat her together!"

Suddenly, within Sailor Mars, a new power was awakened. She felt its fury, and unleashed it on the Negamoon sister.

"MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND!!!"

Small rings of fire flew towards Catsy, and smashed through her fire. Catsy's suit was on fire, and Catsy retreated. Sailor Moon said,

"Thanks for helping us out, Tuxedo Mask. Especially knowing how you feel about me." Tuxedo Mask recalled the Crystal Tower, and Princess Serena. He said he was only doing what was right. He left, and Sailor Mars said,

"Hey, thanks for coming to my rescue. You really nailed that muscle-head monster!"

Later, Serena, Luna and Raye were watching while Rini, Gramps and Chad were doing aerobics. Chad said,

"This music's got me moving! I think I feel a brand new song coming on!"

"Just promise not to sing, Chad." Gramps said. "Or, I'll have to use my karate moves on ya!"

"Hey guys!" Rini said. "This is so cool! We're going to have to get Serena in here! She's been eating too many muffins!"
