The dark fortress continued to hover over the city of Tokyo. In it, the four women who had been working hard to get the girl and the Imperium Silver Crystal were making themselves up.

"Well, what do you think?" The woman in green asked. "Is this black lipstick gonna make it with my corpse-like pallor?"

"Speaking of corpses," Avery said, "I'd have to be one before I'd wear Catsy's outfit."

"That can be easily arranged, sister!" Catsy retorted. Avery simply shrugged it off. They were interrupted by a voice saying not to argue. It was Rubeus.

"I've got a new plan to flush out our victim." He said.

"What is it?" The women inquired.

"Princess Serena's biggest fear is thunder."

"Good idea!" The woman in green said. "Create enough thunder to scare her and the Rabbit out into the open."

"Exactly." Rubeus replied.

"And I've got the perfect person to help implement your plan. Leave it to me."

The woman left, and sought her place among the clouds. She appeared high in the sky, and touched the moon insignia on her forehead.

"I call upon the services of Droid Thunderclap!" She shouted. Thunderclap appeared. She had long gray hair, gray skin, and held a large red drum. She shouted,

"Thunderclap here, mistress!"

"I want roaring thunder and crashing lightning." The woman said. "And heavy rain that pours for days and nights."

"You got it!" Thunderclap yelled, hitting her drum. Over the city, black clouds formed in the sky. Thunderclap was creating strong winds as extra measure, and Serena was caught in the storm. She looked around her, and said,

"Where'd the sun go? I hate getting stuck in a downpour!"

Suddenly, a huge roar of thunder, and a bright flash of lightning scared Serena, and she ran home. When she did get home, she took off her shoes to see that they were soaking wet. She called for her mother, and Luna came, saying that her mother wasn't home

"Didn't you hear what she said at breakfast? She said that there was a big shoe sale at the mall, and she was probably going to be late getting home for dinner. Now, you've got to hurry!"

"Hurry?" Serena asked, "What for?"

"Rini went to her swimming class at the school, and hasn't come home yet."

Serena was afraid of the thunder, but chose to go and get Rini. She put on her raincoat, and her boots, and went on her way. While she was walking, she said to herself,

"I really hate thunder."

At the school, Rini was waiting for Serena's parents. They were very late, and it was even strange for them. One of the other students, a little girl, said,

"Boy, my mom's sure late."

Just then, a mother came through the door, and looked at her child lovingly.

"Hi sweetie." She said softly. "I'm sorry I'm late."

The girl ran to her mother, and hugged her. Later, Rini and another student, a young boy, had to wait outside. The boy was crying, and Rini said,

"Hey, you're a boy. You're not supposed to cry."

"Says who?" The boy said. He continued to cry. Just then, a mini-van pulled up, and the door opened.

"Hi, Josh!" The man inside said, "Let's get you home, now buddy!"

The little boy, Josh ran to his father. He got in the van, and they drove away. Only Rini was left. She looked at her Luna Ball, and she heard a voice. It was a mother and child walking out in the rain.

"Hey, mom." The child said, "Can I have my own umbrella?"

"Well," The mother said, "that sounds like a good idea."

Rini looked at the mother and child. A combination she was becoming alien to. Something she was growing apart from..

She recalled a time when she had an umbrella. It was a happy time for her, despite the war that was to come. She called out to her mother and father. When she had remembered, she called out the one name that could save her.

"Darien!"

Rini ran out into the dark of the rain storm. Meanwhile, Serena was still looking for Rini, and said to herself, almost,

"Please, no more loud thunder, no more crashing lightning!"

A loud bang was heard. Serena had been passing over a bridge, and Rini had been passing under it. She was drenched from the rain. Serena made her way to the swimming school, and looked around for Rini. She wasn't there. She had thought that maybe Rini went

Sammy was playing like a maniac. While the phone was ringing, he ignored it, and tried to play his game. It was a Sailor Moon game, and he was fighting a monster at Mount Rushmore. It was his last life, and the next hit would kill him. The phone kept ringi

"Just go away!"

Sammy continued to play. Just when it seemed that the monster was going to die, the monster crushed him, and he died. Sammy, deciding that he could answer the phone, went and picked up. It was Serena, and he said,

"Serena, you just wrecked my game. What do you want?"

"Calm down and listen, Sammy." Serena said. "I went to pick up Rini at her swimming class, but she wasn't there. So, I was hoping she made it home on her own already."

"She's not here." Sammy replied. "Poor Rini. I hope she's okay. I'll go and watch for her."

Despite Serena's attempts, Sammy hung up the phone. Serena said,

"Oh, Rini. Where are you? Where could you possibly be?"

In the darkness of the rain, Serena continued her search for Rini. She began to run blindly in thought, and suddenly slammed into a figure much larger than herself. She recognized the figure.

"Darien!"

"Why are you in such a big hurry, Serena?" Darien asked.

"Oh, Darien!" Serena said, grabbing Darien's sleeve. "I can't find Rini anywhere."

"What?!" Darien exclaimed. "She's missing?"

In the sky, another loud crash of thunder rang throughout the city. Serena was frightened, and jumped onto Darien's arm. She hugged him, and remembered what it was like to love again...

Darien pulled away from Serena, and said,

"Serena, we really can't do this. I really can't be with you anymore."

"Darien." Serena simply said.

"Anyway, Serena," Darien started, "we've gotta find Rini right away."

"I know you like Rini." Serena said, looking to the ground. "You're way nicer to her than to me, and I don't understand why."

"Look!" Darien snapped. "A little kid is missing! She must feel so helpless and scared in this storm! So of course I'm gonna worry about her, Serena!"

Darien and Serena began to run, to look for Rini. In the rain, Serena was running behind him, and thought to herself, Darien's such a great guy! And he used to by my great guy. If I could only get him back.

Up in a building, Lita and Amy sat in a room, hiding out from the storm. Lita looked down to the street, and saw Serena and Darien running in the rain.

"Just look at those two!" Lita said. "They're either on, or they're off. Do you think they've gotten back together again?"

"Anything's possible." Amy replied. "But whatever they're up to, they're crazy to be out in this storm."

"Hey!" A voice said from behind the two. "Amy and Lita are here." It was Raye and Mina.

"Hey, guys." Lita said. "Are you hiding out from the storm like we are?"

"Yeah, and we ran into each other out front." Raye replied. "Isn't that just the weirdest?"

Amy said that the reason she was inside was because she came up to review some things while waiting for the storm to pass.

"I came up to review Bio Chem, English Lit, and Spanish until it stopped raining."

Lita laughed nervously, and said,

"I just came up for a shake!"

"Well," Mina began, sitting down. "Both stories sound karmic."

Raye said that it felt as if they were meant to meet up there.

"Yeah, but there's one of us missing, though." Mina said.

"Serena doesn't have a karmic bone in her body." Raye said. "Except for food!"

Meanwhile, Rini was hiding in a small alley between buildings. She was under the building that the other girls had gone into. She was holding her Luna Ball close, and pressed the small nose on the ball. One of the eyes changed, and a distorted image appear

"Please, Luna Ball." Rini said. "Can I go home to my mommy now?"

"No, not yet." Luna Ball said.

"Uh oh. But I want to use this key now to get back to her."

"Rini," The Luna Ball said, "you must be very careful using the Time Travel Key, you know that."

"But why?" Rini started. "I want to go home now!"

"Too dangerous." Luna Ball replied. "I know you're awfully young, but you've got to be brave, little one. To save your mom's life, we need that Silver Crystal. I'm sorry, Rini, but you can't leave here till you find it. You're a good girl, Rini. Don't worr

With that, the person in the Luna Ball disappeared. Just then, another flash of lightning, and a loud crash of thunder blasted in the air, scaring Rini. She ran out into the street, and took out the Time Travel Key.

"Take me back!" She yelled. The key's power was only half invoked. It sent out millions of rays of light, and it bounced around. Some of the light made its way into the building where Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina were, and they were all frightened.

"What's happening?" Raye screamed.

"Lightning struck us." Lita replied. Amy was trying to keep the light from touching her. It didn't matter, though. In a brilliant flash of light, the girls were lifted into the air, and hovered where they were.

"We're all floating!" Lita brilliantly surmised.

"What a...totally weird feeling!" Raye said. In the meantime, she had floated upwards, and caught the end of Mina's dress. Mina felt it, and said,

"Uh, do you mind?!"

"This is an incomprehensible phenomenon!" Amy said. "It's like the Earth suddenly lost its gravitational center. But, things aren't affected outside. It's just us floating."

"Amy," Mina said, "this is no time to talk like a text book."

Raye was upside down, and wanted to go to her normal position again. Lita swam by, and said,

"This is a major gas, don't you think?"

Outside, Rini was floating in mid air. The Time Travel Key hadn't worked, and she wanted to know why. She began to cry, and cried to the point that she released her powerful Moon Beam energy. The woman in green (They never give her name, but it's Prisma) s

"Gotcha nailed...Rabbit!"

Droid Thunderclap went after Rini, singing a very loud death march theme. Meanwhile, Serena and Darien were still looking for Rini, and Serena saw the Moon Beam. She went to Rini's aid. At the building, Thunderclap found her way to Rini, and used her drum

"Nega-monster!" They all shouted. The Droid looked at them, and shouted,

"Take this!"

She got out a hair dryer, and blew a strong wind at the girls. It blew them all into a wall, and just when Amy and Raye thought that things couldn't get much worse, Rini and the Luna Ball crashed into them. In the other room, Serena saw what had happened.

"Forget this, Nega-trash!" She yelled.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!!!"

Thunderclap was ready to hit the girls, and was beating on her drum. A voice called out,

"Stop that racket!"

"Who are you?" Rini asked.

"I stand for love! And I stand for justice too! I'm Sailor Moon! So, you're the manic majorette who caused the big storm. How dare you terrorize innocent children! Well, get ready, woman, cause you'll be marching to a different drum beat! On behalf of the

"Beat it, Goldie Locks!" Thunderclap yelled, blowing a wind at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon flew, and hit a wall with incredible force. Then, Thunderclap hit Sailor Moon with a blast of electricity. Sailor Moon didn't like it. Thunderclap was ready to attack a

"You used your drum to terrorize innocent people, and that will not be tolerated! You used your drum for evil, and that must now be stopped by me. I'm gonna make you dance to my beat lady, instead of drumming to the beat of evil!"

Tuxedo Mask threw four roses at the Droid, and missed. The zero gravity was enough to slow the Droid down, and Sailor Moon finished the job.

"MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!!!"

Thunderclap was being vaporized, and decided to fly out the window. The dust that Thunderclap turned to flew through the air, and dissipated. The Blue crystal that had been on Thunderclap turned black. It flew through the air, and stopped. Prisma caught it

"We almost had the Rabbit." She said, looking at the dead crystal, sensing another presence arriving.

"Yeah," Birdy said, "she beat you good, didn't she?"

"You could do better?" Prisma said calmly, but defensively.

"Didn't say that." Birdy replied. "What now?"

"I don't know." Prisma said. "That Sailor Moon's more formidable than I thought. I'll have to come up with a better plan."

Prisma disappeared, and went to Rubeus' fortress. Birdy also went, though she was left behind.

In the building, Tuxedo Mask descended to the ground, and told Sailor Moon that she had done well. Suddenly, he slipped on a can, but he floated into the air. Sailor Moon asked what had happened, and Rini said,

"I'm sorry. It's all my fault!"

"You mean, somehow you've been able to defy the law of gravity?" Amy asked. Rini nodded. She said that she didn't know how, probably to keep the powers of her key a secret, and she negated the powers of her key. She floated gingerly to the ground, and the

"What's next?" Sailor Moon wondered aloud. Lita walked over to Rini and grabbed her arm.

"Tell us." She began. "What happened?"

"Let me go!" Rini said, trying to get Lita to let go. "I didn't mean anything! I just wanted to go back home!"

"Back home?" Raye said. "So, where are you from, Rini?"

"Where my mom and dad live." Rini said sarcastically.

"And where exactly are they?" Amy asked. Rini hesitated. Lita said that they wouldn't hurt her, and Rini kept trying to get Lita to let go. Sailor Moon began to tell Rini that if she told them the truth, then they could help. While Rini was listening to Sa

"Come on, Rini." Mina said. "Why don't you tell us all about yourself, and we'll do what we can to protect you."

"That's enough, Mina." Tuxedo Mask said. "She's probably got good reason not to tell you anything."

Sailor Moon wasn't as sure as Tuxedo Mask, and Rini ran to him. She seemed to be taken by him, and ran into his arms. Sailor Moon seemed jealous, and Tuxedo Mask and Rini went out on their own.

Later, Rini was walking with Tuxedo Mask, and was singing.

"Rain, or shine, I'm happiest
When I'm with Tuxedo Mask
He makes me sing, he makes me laugh
I just love Tuxedo Mask!"
"She certainly knows how to keep my Tuxedo Mask all to herself!" Serena said jealously. Rini and Tuxedo Mask were walking together, and Rini saw the sign of the covenant after the rain: The Rainbow. Rini was amazed by the beauty, and the other girls saw.
