Sailor Moon episode 59Episode title: A Charmed LifeCanadian Air date: 11/1/95 American Air date: 11/13/95 Prisma stood looking into her mirror, and using it to look down on Tokyo. It didn't make any difference, since she had looked down on it since they had arrived. "I hate being stuck here in the past!" She said. "It's all so primitive! Why can't Rubeus take us home to the future already?" "Quit whining, Prisma." Avery responded. "We have work to do here. Besides, what are you so impatient for? You don't have anyone waiting there for you." "Can it, Avery!" Prisma snapped. Birdy laughed. "Bicker, bicker, bicker. That's all you two do." "Oh Prisma, just because you haven't had a date since we got here." Avery began. "I've been too busy working!" Prisma said in excuse. "You sisters at it again?" A voice said. Prisma and Avery looked to one of the mirrors to see Rubeus come out. He looked at them and said, "If you really want to get back to the future, you'll capture the new Crystal Point I just found." Flowers were in bloom, and the sun shone brightly and intensely in the sky. Mina was sitting on a park bench, and was waiting for everyone else. She looked at the sky. "It's so hot. I wish they'd get here. Maybe I'll go take a nap in the shade." "Hey, Mina!" A voice rang out. Mina looked up, and saw Lita running to her. Lita stopped, and looked at Mina. She said, "Sorry I'm so late. I missed the bus." Mina frowned, and replied, "You are way beyond late." "I'm really sorry!" Lita apologized. She sat on the bench next to Mina. "At least I'm not the last one here!" She pointed out. "But Serena's always late." Mina said. "What?!" Lita said, a little shocked. "You hold me to a different standard than you do her?" "Of course, Lita." "This'll be so fun!" Lita said, stretching. "You know, we haven't been on a serious shopping spree in ages!" "Maybe we can all buy ourselves some synchronized watches!" Mina suggested. She and Lita laughed. "Specially Serena!" Lita laughed. Just then, they heard Rini's voice, telling someone to leave her alone. Lita and Mina looked to see Rini, and her Luna Ball, being bothered by two young boys. One boy asked, "How does that ball float? Tell us!" "Buzz off!" Rini said. "We're not leaving, till you tell us, Rini." The other boy said. "You know, I finally managed to figure it out." Rini said. "I wasn't sure which one of you was stupidest, but now I know. Both!" "You're gonna get it!" The first boy threatened. "Out of the way!" The other boy said. "I'll handle this!" He picked up Rini, and was ready to do...something with her, and suddenly, Lita's voice boomed from behind them. "Put her down!" The boys looked back to see two towering girls over them. They ran away, and Lita said, "Those dweebs aren't so stupid. They're smart enough to run away." "Are you okay, pumpkin?" Mina asked Rini. "I know that kid seemed pretty obnoxious, But I think he has a crush on you!" "Are you totally crazed?!" Lita said. "That kid's nothing but a little fungus! You've gotta stop reading so many romance novels." "Look who's talking!" Mina retorted. "You think the paper boy likes you just because he rides by your front door every morning!" "Come off it, Mina." Lita said. "Admit it, you're jealous." "You're hallucinating!" Exclaimed Mina. "Why would I be jealous of you? I'm perfectly happy with myself just the way I am!" "Sure, Miss Lonely Heart!" "There's more to life than collecting boyfriends!" "Yeah?" "Please, please stop it!" Rini said, grabbing both Lita and Mina. "I know a guy who needs a girlfriend. Serena drove Darien whacko, so he broke up with her!" "AND HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT??!!!" Serena bellowed. "Have you been listening to my phone calls?!" "Sammy was, and I happened to be in his room." Rini replied. Serena attacked Rini. Sort of. She took Rini, and moved her away from Mina and Lita to talk to her. "Anyway," Serena said, "we haven't broken up. We had a fight." "That's not the way I heard it!" Rini said. While Serena and Rini were arguing, Mina looked at Lita, and said, "Think Darien's your type?" "Oh, give me a break Mina!" Lita snapped. "I don't go after my friend's boyfriends!" "What about when you chased after Andrew when his girlfriend left?" Mina pointed out. "That wasn't serious, that was just flirting!" Lita said. Mina and Lita began to argue, and in the meantime, Rini had hold of Serena's hair. Serena told her to let go, and Rini flipped Serena over her head. Serena landed on the pavement, and Rini said, "Didn't anyone ever tell you to be careful what you wish for?" "So," Rubeus began, "which one of you wants to take over the latest Crystal Point?" In the center of the room, a pillar of light emanated, and in it, a picture of a small shop appeared. "It's a store that sells crystals and charms and jewelry. I seems to be very popular with the kids." "Jewelry?" Prisma said. "Sounds fun!" "I could use a new charm bracelet." Birdy thought aloud. "So why's it so popular?" Avery asked. "Must be junk if kids can afford it!" "Who knows?" Rubeus said. "It's just the latest rage with these humans. They seem to think these charms have positive energy, and will bring them good luck." "Bunch of rubbish!" Prisma said as the store image disappeared. "Maybe so," Rubeus said, "but it's important we take control of this point, so I want you to put together a plan to seize that store, and capture the customers." "Count me out, Rubeus!" Avery said immediately. "I'd never set foot in any place that sells nothing but top quality jewels." "I can't believe this!" Prisma said in disgust. "I'm not Prisma." Avery said. "Tacky trinket shops aren't my thing. Bye now!" Avery disappeared, and Prisma told her to come back. Avery reappeared in a new place. She was in a void, and was thinking to herself aloud. "A girl does have to keep up her standards, but it would be a pity to lose all those shopping bonus points I've earned." A small wine goblet appeared in Avery's hand. It was filled with red liquid. Avery didn't drink it, though. She called to it. "Droid Jellacks!" The liquid began to move of its own accord, and moved out of the glass. It was Droid Jellacks, and it moved up, and formed a body. It was a woman's body, and was completely red. Jellacks asked, "You need me, commander?" "I certainly do." Avery said. "I want you to go see Rubeus. Tell him I'll take the mission at the jewelry mart after all." "You missed the train on that one, Ave." A voice said. It was Birdy. "What do you mean?" Avery said. "I mean Prisma's already gone. You blew it. Rubeus said that if he'd known what a Prima Donna you were, he wouldn't have brought you." "He did, did he? Well, I'll just have to change that impression, won't I Birdy?" Avery disappeared, and Birdy said, "Bring me back a gift. Bye now!" Back in the city, Serena, Lita and Mina were walking to find a place to shop. Serena was walking backwards, and was telling the girls to make up. "We can't shop if you guys won't talk to each other." "I'll forgive her, if she apologizes." Lita said. "Nothing to apologize for!" Mina snapped. Serena was getting discouraged. Luna said, "They're getting as stubborn as you are, Serena." Serena continued to walk backwards, and stopped when she stepped on something and tripped. She was in pain, but looked up and saw a store. Lita said, "It's a charm shop. Supposed to sell you charms that will bring you luck with boyfriends." "Better than Raye's charms?" Mina asked. Serena was already inside the store. Mina looked to Lita, and said, "This could be wicked-cool! Wanna go in?" Lita nodded, and they both realized who they were each talking to. They stuck their noses in the air. They went into the store, and Rini saw them. "I'd better follow them in." She said to herself. "That could be where the Crystal's hidden." Meanwhile, in the back of the store, Prisma and Avery watched as two girls made their wishes. "I wish for Bobby Gordan to asked my to the home-coming dance!" The first one said. "And I wish for Greg Matheson to take me to the dance and take me to dinner!" Said the second. The girls wished with all their spirits, and the charms they held took effect. In a moment, the girls were frowning, and the second one said, "Greg's a geek! Matter of fact, all guys are!" "Yeah." The second said. "Bobby Gordan's a total wuss!" "Two more transformations for us." Prisma said. "And all the more energy for the Negamoon. Who would've thought that these charms were such a booming business?" "We'll have this Crystal Point taken over in no time." Avery said. "And who knows? Maybe we'll even have enough time for a shopping spree." Out in the front of the store, Serena was looking around the room. She was amazed at the all the trinkets and things in the store. There were things of many colors, and there were pyramids, charms, and crystal balls. Serena looked up, and saw a large machine that said it had a good luck potion inside. "I wonder if it works?" Serena said, excited. "Yes, for sure." Luna remarked. "Who would be such a fool to fall for such a moronic hoax?" Naturally, Serena presented Luna with a 100 yen coin. Meanwhile, Lita was looking at a charm, and said, "Serena, maybe this will help you make up with Darien." She looked up, and was surprised. Serena had a huge bottle in her mouth, and it was filled with green liquid. "Stop, Serena!" Mina said. "You think that's good for you!" "What is that stuff anyway?" Lita asked. Serena answered, "Good luck potion." "I don't know." Mina said nervously. "Aren't you supposed to take in doses?" "Hey, if that if that stuff really works, you should be in for some major good luck!" Lita said. The girls were surprised by a soft voice coming from behind them. "Sorry to keep you waiting, ladies." The voice said. The girls turned to see two young women clerks. One had dark green, almost black hair, and the other had brown hair, with brown eyes. The clerk with brown eyes said, "We have lots of good luck charms, girls. Come on over and take a look. I'm sure you'll find something to make your life happier. Improve your love life?" In the back, Serena was looking at all the charms that the store had to offer. Serena thought that they were the best. "But that's not the best part." Prisma said. She said that they were guaranteed to grant any wish. Serena asked, "Even if your wish is making someone forgive you for saying something you didn't mean?" Prisma replied yes, and got out a small stone. "It's the forgiveness stone. Works every time." Serena was ready to try it. She was about to open the box, when four hands clamped down on it. It was Mina and Lita. Serena pointed out that it was her charm. Mina laughed, and said, "Sorry! I thought Maybe Lita could use it first, to apologize for our fight." "What?!" Lita exclaimed. "You forgive me?" Mina laughed hysterically. Meanwhile, outside, Rini looked into the shop window. She couldn't see anyone, and thought that maybe they had gone in the back. Then, a stern voice rang from behind her. "Security! What are doing, getting your fingerprints all over that glass?" Rini turned around. She knew who the voice was. "Darien! You scared me!" "Sorry, Pip-squeak!" Darien apologized. "So, what'cha up to?" In the back, Serena was looking at all the charms. Mina looked to Lita, and Lita stuck her nose in the air. Mina looked to the floor. Avery looked at the two friends. They seemed to be growing apart, and she felt for them... She remembered her mission. She asked Mina, "Would you like to look at some charms while your friend decides?" "No, I don't think so." Mina said. "Last time a got a charm from my friend Raye, it didn't turn out so good." Serena and Lita looked at Mina as if she had said something shocking. Prisma said to Lita, "What about you?" "I don't need charms to fix my life, thanks!" Lita snapped. "Oh, come off it, Lita." Mina said. "Tell us, when was the last time you went out on a date? I'm just trying to help as your friend." Lita knew what Mina had said. It seemed clear to her that she and Mina were friends. The future seemed to ride on their friendship. As Sailor Scouts, to protect the girl from the future, and as people, to show that goodness lives in humans. Lita turned to Mina, and said, "I know you are, Mina. I'll find someone when the time is right!" "No you won't!" Prisma said. All the girls looked at her, questioning her words, and she said, "Nothing." Lita turned back to Mina. "You know, we have our whole future ahead of us. But if we keep getting into these petty fights, we won't be friends in the future." "You're right, Lita." Mina replied. "Anyway, we came to help Serena with her boyfriend problems. Let's concentrate on them!" "Yeah." Said Lita. "So, tell us about this big fight, and maybe we can help ya!" "Sounds good!" Exclaimed Serena. "You don't deserve such a great guy." Came a voice from behind them. It was Rini. Serena was a little surprised to Rini there, of all people. A voice came from the front of the store. "Rini, you in there?" It was Darien. He came through the curtain that led to the back room of the store, and he saw Serena. Serena looked at him, and said, "Maybe the charm really worked! Have you forgiven me yet?" Maybe I should say yes. Darien thought. She looks so sincere. Just as Darien was about to say something, Rini grabbed his arm, and said that she wanted to go and get ice cream. Darien said that he couldn't go with her, and he left. He stood outside the shop, and said to himself, "I don't understand why it always has to be so tough between Serena and me." Darien left, and across the street, two young girls walked, then stopped. It was Amy and Raye. "Lita didn't tell you what store they'd be in?" Asked Amy. "Nah." Raye said. "Just that they'd meet us out here. They'd better show up soon, or I'm gonna be steamed!" Inside the shop, which was closer to Amy and Raye than they had cared to notice, Serena and Rini were arguing. "See what you did, Serena?! Darien was gonna buy me an ice cream, till he saw your face!" "I'm so sick of your following me! Why don't you get some friends your own age! Or better yet, go back to wherever you came from!" "Not as long as you continue to annoy Darien like you do!" "What do you know, anyway?" "Plenty more than you, which isn't too tough to do!" Prisma was becoming tired of the fighting. She yelled at Serena and Rini to get out of the shop. "Cool it, Prisma. We need these girls to complete our mission." Avery said. "Mission?" Mina said. "What kind of mission?" "Nothing you want to worry your pretty little air head with. So quit asking'!" Prisma snapped. Lita had a bad feeling. Prisma said that before they left, they should try one last charm. Mina had a really bad feeling, and told Serena to take Rini and go. Avery then called out, "Droid Jellacks, come forth!" The Droid obeyed, and Prisma told her to get rid of the girls. Mina and Lita backed up towards Rini and Serena. "They're not sales people," Serena exclaimed, "they're monsters from the Negaverse!" "Serena!" Mina shouted, "Take Rini and go! Hurry!" "I'm not going anywhere with this bimbo!" Rini snapped. "This 'bimbo' is your last hope!" Serena retorted. Soon, Prisma, Avery, and Jellacks had the girls surrounded. They had nowhere to go. Suddenly, Jellacks attacked from above, but the girls leapt out of the way. Mina had landed near a fire extinguisher. As Avery was advancing on Serena and Rini, Mina took the extinguisher, and sprayed at full force. The room was flooded with the spray, and the girls took the opportunity to escape. "You're not going to get away with this!" Avery shouted. "Come on! Show yourselves!" Serena was hiding with Rini in her arms. She looked on the table behind her, and saw Luna. Luna told Serena to go through a door she could see. Serena headed for it. Meanwhile, Avery was getting angry, and said, "Well find you, don't worry!" Mina and Lita, now friends once again, backed into each other on purpose. "I think it's time we showed these chicks bad service doesn't pay off!" Lita stated. "Right behind ya, Jupiter!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!!!!" "VENUS STAR POWER!!!!" "You Nega-twits ready to rumble?" A voice from the fog of the extinguisher said. "In case you didn't know, we're the Sailor Scouts, and that means you're in major trouble!" "That's right, ladies!" Another voice from the fog said. "We're gonna wring you out, and hang you out to dry!" "Who are you!?" Avery shouted. "Sailor Jupiter!" "And Sailor Venus!" Avery was not scared. Prisma said, "We sisters have got you silly Sailor Scout wimps beat, especially since the prettiest one's running the show!" Prisma heard laughing behind her, and it was Avery. Avery cracked her whip. "You think you're the prettiest?" Avery said, laughing. "Oh, Prisma. You are such a comedian. I'm the prettiest!" Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter were shocked. Prisma and Avery were arguing, and the Sailor Scouts were less than amazed at them. "This for real?" Jupiter asked Venus. "They're way worse than we are!" Venus stated. In the meantime, Prisma had enough of her sister, and the Sailor Scouts. She blasted at Venus and Jupiter, but missed. Then, Avery leapt high into the air, and using her whip, caught Sailor Venus around the throat. "Boy, you're sure easy to whip!" Quipped Avery. Prisma blasted a bolt of black lightning at Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Jupiter jumped out of the way. Jupiter tried to leap at Prisma with a flying punch, but missed by centimeters. When Sailor Jupiter landed, she was ready to fight again, but was caught off guard. Jellacks came from the floor, and tied Jupiter up in her gelatinous body. "Excellent work, Droid Jellacks." Prisma commended. "Now, find out where our guests have gone." "I won't tell!" Jupiter said, though she was in no position to argue. "But I'll tell you one thing: I'm sure they've booked it out of here, and are long gone!" "You're lying!" Prisma shouted, blasting Jupiter with her lighting. "Liar! Tell me where they are!" Prisma continued her assault on Jupiter. Sailor Venus was still caught in Avery's whip. Then, the one person they weren't expecting came to save them. "MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND!!!!!" The rings of fire flew through the air, and sliced the bonds that held Jupiter and Venus. Venus looked to her rescuer. There stood Sailor Mars, and Sailor Mercury. "Primeau timing, guys!" Venus said. Jupiter and Venus got up. "You weird sisters, you are in for it now!" Jupiter shouted. "You're gonna wish you never met the Sailor Scouts!" Venus yelled. Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus attacked Prisma and Avery with their new Star Power strength. "JUPITER THUNDERCLOUD ZAP!!!!" "VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!!!!" The Power of Sailor Jupiter sailed towards Prisma, but was negated by Prisma's lightning power. The Chain of Venus sped to Avery, but was stopped by Avery's whip. When they had found that they were evenly matched, Prisma asked what to do. Avery had an idea. "Droid Jellacks, give us a hand here!" "At your command!" Jellacks said, appearing. "Waste these punks, I'm getting tired of them!" Prisma said. Jellacks had the solution. "We can beat her!" Venus said. Jellacks yelled, "Nobody beats me, Blondie!" Jellacks spewed out red fluid, and it caught each of the Sailor Scouts. Meanwhile, in the back, Serena stuffed Rini in a closet. Luna asked if Serena was sure Rini was safe, and Serena said, "Of course, Luna!" "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!!!" Jellacks had all the Sailor Scouts tied up in her "body". "All right." Jellacks began. "Whoever tells me where your friend went goes free." "I'm right here, Slime Queen!" A voice rang out. Jellacks looked to see Sailor Moon. The Sailor Scouts were happy to see her, and Sailor Moon said, "Mercury! I thought you were in computer school!" "Class finished early!" Amy strained. "Would you mind cutting all the chit-chat?" Sailor Mars said, annoyed. Jellacks aimed at her target, and turned her arm into a blade. She flew at Sailor Moon yelling, "Meet your doom!" "Not today, squish-face!" "MOON SCEPTER ELIMINATION!!!!" Jellacks' attack stopped. In a moment, where there had been a Droid, was a pile of blue dust. The crystal that had belonged to Jellacks died. The Sailor Scouts all congratulated Sailor Moon. Rini had watched, and was in awe. At a pizza parlor later that day, Lita was complaining that Serena was drinking the potion. Serena said between gulps, "If I drink enough, I won't have to apologize to Darien!" Amy said that Serena was going to make herself really sick. Raye muttered, "Yeah. Then, we'll have to listen to her belly-aching." "Hey!" Serena shouted. "Don't you even start in with me, Raye!" "Could you please breathe down-wind?" Raye asked impolitely. Serena was becoming frustrated. Raye continued. "Just don't go talk to Darien, right now, okay?" "Why not?" "You smell like you just ate a bunch of frogs!!" "Well, you're just jealous. I'll have more luck than I know what to do with. Luck, luck, luck, luck, luck!" "Sure." Raye said smartly. "Catching some frog prince!"
