Episode title: Promises Fulfilled

"How do you like the Love Bracelets I made?" Molly asked Serena. She, Serena, and Melvin were at school, without a teacher. Serena said that the bracelets were pretty, and asked why they were called Love Bracelets.

"Well," Said Melvin, "as you weave the strands together, you think about true love. Then, if your heart suddenly goes 'thumpety thump' because of someone, then you cut it off your wrist, and..."

Molly finished what Melvin was saying.

"True love will be fulfilled. It's all the rage!"

Serena looked around, and noticed that everyone was either wearing a bracelet, or making one. She wondered if it would work for her and Darien. She really wanted one, and asked how to make them. Melvin said,

"You should probably take a class, so you don't mess up the way they work." He held up a poster (The Katakana reads "Promise Ring") that showed an ad about a school that taught how to make the bracelets. Melvin told Serena about it, and told her to try it. Molly said that if Serena put love into her weaving, she'd be able to share long-lasting love with the person she gave it to. Serena was optimistic, but remembered the various times Darien was cold-hearted to her.

"Please, Serena, I just can't see you anymore!" He said one time.

"I'm sorry, but I don't have the same feelings for you as before!" He said another time.

"You're making it very hard on both of us!" He said on yet another occasion.

"Serena, leave me alone!" He yelled on the last occasion. Molly and Melvin looked on as Serena was in her daydream.

After school, Serena was walking home, feeling down. She stopped for a moment, and Lita and Amy came up to her. Lita asked what was wrong, and Amy asked if school was going alright. Serena said she was fine, and Lita and Amy agreed that they liked Serena more when she was fun-loving. Just as Serena mentioned to them that the love-bracelet shop had opened, she saw Darien.

"Just be cool." Serena told herself. "Now, I'll just gracefully saunter up to him."

Darien glared at Serena, and began to walk away. Serena ran after him, but fell onto her knees, hurting herself. Darien looked at the crying young lady, and had tears in his eyes, but wouldn't allow himself to cry. He began to walk away, and stopped when Serena said,

"Oh, brother! But Darien, I just don't understand what changed between us! I've thought about it a million times, and I can't come up with any reasonable answer! I would even changed my meatball hair if you want me to!" Serena began to cry, and Darien looked at her. She begged him to tell her what it was. Darien said,

"No, don't change Serena. That's not it." He walked away, leaving Serena to cry on the sidewalk.

Meanwhile, out in space, Emerald was standing on a platform that looked like a palace garden. A large fountain sprayed its water, and Emerald laughed to herself. Prince Diamond will be so pleased when I have completed my mission! She thought to herself. As soon as I have filled twentieth century Tokyo with dark power, I will snatch the Silver Crystal, that bratty kid Rini, and destroy the Simpy Scouts! She took off her earring to find the next point of dark power: The love bracelet shop. She appeared over the building, and took a Dark Power Wedge. She threw it at the building, and it planted itself onto the roof. Emerald summoned Droido Brigalia. She instructed Brigalia to fill the building with dark power, and the Droido complied.

"She'd better succeed." Emerald said to herself, after the Droido left. She was blushing, and said, "I want to go to my Prince Diamond right away!"

"This must be the House of Love Bracelets." Said Lita. She, Amy and Serena had arrived at the bracelet shop.

"Maybe this idea will help you, Serena. You never know." Said Amy. Serena wasn't so sure, and Lita said,

"Oh, I know you think it's hopeless with Darien, but you never know, Serena." Said Lita. "I know this sounds really goofy, but you've just gotta really concentrate and believe in the powers of love, or they're just not going to work for you at all!" Then, she blushed, and said, "I read that in a book from the library!"

Serena, uplifted, went in with Amy and Lita, and got her materials. A reluctant Serena was shown the way to the class by Amy and Lita, and Lita said that they would wait for Serena. Amy said,

"Go for it, girl!"

Serena looked around, and the teacher asked her if she was there for a lesson. Melvin invited her to the table that he and Molly had, and the teacher said that since they were friends, they could sit together. Serena sat down, and the lesson began. First, the teacher told Serena to weave the strings, each three feet long. Serena couldn't quite get it, so the teacher explained that it was like making a number four, and repeating it twice. Serena still couldn't get it, and then some bells sounded, announcing the end of the class. The teacher told everyone to finish their bracelets at home, and Serena muttered,

"Sure! Easy for her to say! She's the big expert!"

"Just do it!" Yelled the teacher. Serena didn't argue. When the teacher saw all the students off, she closed the door, and chuckled to herself.

"Love Bracelets, go to work!" She said, changing into Droido Brigalia. Emerald appeared, and asked for an explanation of Brigalia's plan. Brigalia said that the people who wore the bracelets would be contaminated with dark energy, and would spread it wherever they went.

Meanwhile, at Serena's, Rini peeked into Serena's room to see if she had finished her love bracelet.

"The dufus fell asleep! Now, how can I get her to make one for me?" Rini said to Luna. Luna replied,

"Cut her some slack, Rini, she's totally whipped. She's been struggling to make her own for hours!"

Serena was talking in her sleep to Darien, and on her bookshelf nearby, there was a picture of her and Darien.

Serena was having a dream. In it, she and Darien were getting married, and were walking down a stone aisle in a garden. Serena was wearing a string of pearls with a red jewel in the center on her forehead. They looked at each other longingly, and when they kissed, the ground beneath them exploded, and Serena began to fall into nothingness. Darien was left standing on a chunk of rock. Then, a voice, Darien's voice, rang out.

"Darien, you must stay away from Serena."

"I won't!" Darien yelled back.

"If you marry Serena, she will be placed in grave danger, and the world as we know it will be shattered forever. You must not go near her."

As the voice said that, Serena looked at Darien, then the string of pearls disappeared, leaving only the crescent moon on her forehead. She turned away in sorrow, and was destroyed. Darien screamed when all that was left was a bouquet of flowers...

Serena woke with a start. She stood up, and went to the bookshelf that had the picture on it. She gasped when the glass encasement broke on its own!

Serena knocked on Darien's door, and he answered. He told Serena not to be so loud. Serena apologized, and whispered to him that she had to talk to him. Darien said that they had nothing to talk about, and began to close the door. Serena then said,

"Please tell me if you've had a strange dream about us lately."

Darien stopped, and let Serena in. Outside, Luna and Rini were waiting for Serena, and Luna wondered why Serena had to see Darien all of a sudden. Rini was holding on to Serena's Love Bracelet.

Serena explained her dream, and Darien confirmed that it was the same one he had. Serena was scared of it, and said that maybe they ate something bad, and it was only a nightmare.

"But, it said you wouldn't survive." Darien replied. Serena said,

"Oh, Darien! I understand now why you were so cold hearted! It was just to protect me from getting hurt, yeah?"

"I really tried to ignore the nightmare at first," said Darien, "but then I kept having the same one every night. Now, I believe that it's not just a dream, but that it actually tells us about our future."

"Darien, I don't care what happens to me." Said Serena. "As long as I can be with you."

Darien suddenly said that they couldn't be together, and pushed Serena out the door. Serena yelled and banged on the door, and collapsed, crying. Outside, Luna and Rini were still waiting, and Luna said that it was strange that Serena was so late. Just then, Serena appeared in an open elevator doorway, and Rini stood up to greet her. Just then, the Love Bracelet began to stick to Rini's hand, and began to electrocute her with black energy. Serena ran to the child, and Luna got the bracelet off. They looked at it, and saw dark energy coursing through it. Serena had a suspicion, and took off.

At Amy's bracelet class, all the kids were being electrocuted by their bracelets. Amy contacted the other girls (Got Mina out of the shower for you Venus fans out there!), and they all headed for the building. Meanwhile, Emerald's Power Wedge had grown, and Serena could see it.

"I hate that it's from this place." Serena said.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!"

Droido Brigalia was atop the building, and was gathering the energy for the Dark Power Wedge. She stopped when a voice told her not to make so much noise.

"Who are you, you little twerp!?" Yelled the Droido.

"I'm Sailor Moon!" The voice said. Sailor Moon appeared. "How dare you mess with people's romance dreams! They're what make hopes reality! Shame on you for controlling them with dark power! I'm Sailor Moon, and on behalf of love and dreams, I will fight you and triumph over evil! You're history!"

"I'm so moved." Said Brigalia. "It's impossible for a nitwit like you to stop me! Behold the ring! The Nightmare Ring!"

Brigalia threw a large blue ring a Sailor Moon, and missed, embedding it in the ground. Brigalia laughed.

"This Lonesome Ring's a perfect fit for you! Selected for a boy-crazy girl who gets jealous, but has no boyfriend! Lonesome Ring, give this girl who has no boyfriend loneliness like she's never had before!"

Sailor Moon retorted angrily that she had a boyfriend, and dodged the rings. She didn't land very well, and Brigalia said,

"Now, what else do I have?" Sailor Moon was brave, and stood her ground. "The Promise Ring!" Said Brigalia. "Promise this girl she'll never have good friends!"

Without warning, the ring was smashed by a rose. Brigalia looked up to see a silhouette. It was Tuxedo Mask.

"You are a big pathetic wretch!" He said. "Promise Rings and Love Bracelets are symbols of love people feel for each other! How dare you use them to try and destroy true love! I, Tuxedo Mask, won't allow it!"

Brigalia laughed.

"True love? HA! I scoff at love! Isolation Rings!"

She threw three rings at Tuxedo Mask, but he deflected them into the sky with his cane. Brigalia turned the rings back towards Tuxedo Mask, but they didn't reach their target.

"SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!"

The rings were sprayed by a blast of water, and fell to the ground, frozen. Sailor Mercury appeared. Brigalia, undaunted, threw her next attack: Enemy Rings. They chased Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury for a moment.

"MARS CELESTIAL FIRE SURROUND!"

The Enemy Rings were dispelled, and Sailor Mars appeared, saying nonchalantly,

"Sailor Mars is here!"

Brigalia was getting angry, and called up her next attack.

"True Hatred Rings! Divide them!"

Five rings appeared, and flew at the three Sailor Scouts.

"JUPITER THUNDERCLOUD ZAP!"

"VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!"

The power of Jupiter and Venus' Love Chain broke the Rings of Hatred. Brigalia saw that she was surrounded by five Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask.

"Your turn now, Sailor Moon!" Tuxedo Mask said. Sailor Moon nodded.

"MOON SCEPTER ACTIVATION!"

Brigalia, like the Droidos before her, was reduced to a pile of dust, and her crystal went black. All the kids who were being electrocuted by their bracelets were freed, and Emerald's Power Wedge shattered. Emerald appeared, laughing.

"Here me now, you impertinent little upstarts, listen! I'm warning you the Dark Gate will be open very soon, and when it is, Dark Crystal power will flow swiftly and steadily into Tokyo! Then, the Silver Crystal will be sucked into darkness! And, the entire world will be covered by our lovely power forever!"

Emerald disappeared, laughing. Tuxedo Mask said,

"Sailor Moon." Sailor Moon brought her attention to him. "We're here to protect both the present and future of Tokyo from all evil forces, no matter how difficult, that is our mission. We must overcome all obstacles and adversaries whatsoever!" Sailor Moon agreed. "Sailor Soldiers, we must fight together for the mission!" Said Tuxedo Mask. He left, and Sailor Moon only watched. Sailor Mars walked up to her, and said,

"Sailor Moon, you get going. Hurry up now! Follow your dreams! Go get him!"

"I'm not sure what happened between you two," said Sailor Mercury, "but it sure seems there no more misunderstanding."

"How do you know that, Amy?" Asked Sailor Moon. Sailor Venus said,

"Couldn't you see it on his face? It's very clear."

"Yeah, don't be a dolt, girl!" Said Sailor Jupiter. Sailor Venus added,

"You look so beautiful now! Your cheeks are all rosy from our great battle! You're glowing!"

"Hurry!" Urged Sailor Mars. Sailor Moon thanked her friends, and went to find Darien.

Serena was running in the night to find Darien, and saw him looking at the ocean. She called out his name, and he heard. As she ran, she pleaded mentally, I know, Darien, that we can't get married because of our destiny, but, just for this moment, could we forget everything and just be ourselves? Serena ran into Darien's arms, and they embraced, after so long.

They looked longingly at each other, and kissed in the silver moonlight.
