Sailor Moon episode 81

Canadian Air date: 11/20/97 

The Dark Crystal's reactor was almost life-like in its place, as it continued to harvest energy for Wiseman's ever growing Dark Crystal. Wiseman himself was seeing to it, and laughed to himself.

"Finally, the moment has come for Earth's destruction." He said to himself gravely. "Wicked Lady, it is time to open the Dark Gate!"

As he called Wicked Lady's name, Wicked Lady was not near. She was over the top of the Dark Crystal, which was sitting right in the heart of Tokyo. Below her was a large hexagonal platform, with large crystal pillars on each point, and in the middle stood the forms of her worst enemies. Her worst enemies, however, were also her best friends. The forms, Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Venus, and Tuxedo Mask, all stood below Wicked Lady, and also under the growing Dark Gate. Dark, ominous clouds enveloped the platform, leaving only the Sailor Scouts to see Wicked Lady, like the eye of a hurricane.

"I call upon the power of the Dark Crystal!" Wicked Lady called, raising her arms high above her. From the Dark Gate above her, which was only at the time a swirling mass of darkness, a pillar of Dark Crystal energy shot out, and partitioned itself to flow into each of the crystal pillars on the points of the platform.

"Stop it, Rini!" Sailor Moon shouted, as the energy began to flow into the pillars. They began to glow bright white, and the energy flowing to them began to flow back into Wicked Lady's hands. Her body emanated a bright pink aura of Negamoon energy.

"There's nothing you can do to stop me." Wicked Lady said gravely. "Don't even try." She closed her eyes in concentration. "Wiseman," She called. "I'm now ready to receive the power of the Dark Crystal." She looked down upon her enemies. "It will pass through me, then, in a magnified state, shatter Earth into a dust cloud!"

"You can't do this, Rini!" Shouted Mars. Sailor Mercury added,

"I don't think you can survive all that power going through you!"

"Amy's right!" Sailor Moon pleaded. "Don't you see this is going to destroy you too?" Wicked Lady was fearless.

"Ha." She said, nonchalantly. "That doesn't scare me in the least. Loneliness was all your Earth had to offer me. No one loved me, and no one cared. So, why not blow it to bits? I welcome the darkness!"

"But, we do love you so, Rini!" Sailor Moon replied.

"She's right, Rini!" Tuxedo Mask added. Wicked Lady descended to the platform, saying,

"That's all maudlin rubbish! What did you ever know about love? You just care about yourselves!"

"I am a little selfish," Sailor Moon admitted, "but, I do love you!"

"Enough!" Shouted Wicked Lady angrily, startling Sailor Moon. "I've had it with you, Meatball Head! I'm gonna get rid of your pretty boy first!"

"No, Rini!" Mars pleaded.

"Don't do it!" Mercury shouted. Wicked Lady smiled evilly, and laughed.

"Please, Rini!" Pleaded Jupiter.

"Don't do it!" Repeated Venus. Wicked Lady raised her arm in the air, and channeled the power of the Dark Crystal. There was a flash of red light around them, as Wicked Lady hit Tuxedo Mask with full force. Wicked Lady looked on with wonder for a moment, and Sailor Moon looked the same.

Tuxedo Mask yelled in pain, as the power of the Dark Crystal flowed painfully throughout his body. Finally, Wicked Lady stopped her assault, and Tuxedo Mask fell into Sailor Moon's arms.

"Oh, Darien!" Sailor Moon said, clutching her love tightly. "Darien, are you okay? Darien, talk to me!"

Wicked Lady watched Sailor Moon holding Darien close, and stopped in shock.

"Why are you...?" She began. "Why would you place yourself in danger for him?" She started to draw back. Sailor Mars replied,

"For love!"

"What?"

"They love each other!" Mars explained.

"And, they love you too, Rini!" Mercury said. Wicked Lady looked at the Sailor Scouts, who began to seem less and less like her enemies.

"More maudlin rubbish!" Wicked Lady said, with almost a look of wonder in her eyes.

"Wrong, Rini!" Shouted Venus. Wicked Lady looked to the Sailor, still in her state of wonder. "You mean a lot to us, no matter how nasty you get!"

"Yeah!" Said Jupiter. "'Cause, that's what friends do! They stick it out, and they risk their lives for each other!"

"You'd risk your lives for me?" Wicked Lady asked, frozen in her tracks. Tears began to form in her eyes. They widened when Sailor Moon said,

"In a Moon minute! You've gotta come to your senses, Rini. We're your friends! We'd do anything for you!"

"That's right." Darien said, still in pain from Wicked Lady's attack. "Look into your heart, and find the truth."

Wicked Lady's wonder turned into shock at the words of the one she had come to call father, as a little girl. She noticed that the Sailor Scouts had become even less of an enemy to her. The Sailor Scouts pleaded with her to find the truth. Her head began to hurt, and she could barely take it, that is, until the voice of the Wiseman boomed out over the platform.

"Ignore their babble, Wicked Lady." Wiseman said. "It's all lies! Remember how they treated you? How alone you were? How they didn't care? I think you need an energy boost from the Dark Crystal!" Meanwhile, the Dark Crystal's reactor began to emit energy. "That should clear up any doubt you have!"

The Dark Crystal's reactor released an energy beam of intense energy. The pillar of pink and purple light shot out of the opening Dark Gate, and showered Wicked Lady, whose mind lost its humanity once again.

"He's right." Wicked Lady said, in her mock realization. "I see things clearly now."

"Oh, Rini, don't buy into this!" Darien pleaded. "It's just more brainwashing!"

"No, I think it's you who's trying to brainwash me!" Wicked Lady replied, smiling evilly again. "But, that's ending. Now!"

Wicked Lady thrust out her arms, and released intense dark powers at the Sailor Scouts and Tuxedo Mask. She created a tornado of Dark Power, and the Sailor Scouts were helpless. That is, until Sailor Moon heard a voice in her head. She was remembering something the King of the Earth said to her, when she and the Sailor Scouts had gone to the future with Rini.

"Sailor Moon." The King said. "There will be obstacles so large, you'll think you can't possibly overcome them. But, you can succeed if your love for each other is strong and unwavering. To win this battle, you must be strong for each other. It is your only hope."

In the tornado of energy, with winds howling around them, Darien and Sailor Moon were still huddled together. Darien put his hand out, and Sailor Moon placed her hand in his. Wicked Lady, still being showered with the light of the Dark Crystal, rose into the air above the Sailor Scouts.

"Prepare for the end of your miserable planet!" Wicked Lady shouted, laughing.

"I've gotta get Rini back!" Sailor Moon said. "There's gotta be a way to reach her!"

"Sailor Moon!" Tuxedo Mask said. Sailor Moon looked up at him. "We'll do it together." He told her. "It's our only hope to save the Earth! We've got to find the good left in her!"

"Good idea!" Sailor Moon replied, smiling hopefully. Wicked Lady looked on, scowling at the Sailor Scouts. She had descended back to the platform, and was controlling the powers of the Dark Crystal. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask both rose to their feet together.

"Rini, I know there's good left in you!" Sailor Moon said. "And, we're gonna find it!"

Sailor Moon's locket opened, revealing the Imperium Silver Crystal. Sailor Moon cupped her hands around the locket, so as to create a bubble between her hands. The Silver Crystal glowed brightly.

"We're gonna bring back the little girl we all love so much!"

"The energy of the Silver Crystal can't beat me!" Wicked Lady taunted, releasing torrential flows of dark power. They surged towards Sailor Moon at an incredible rate. Sailor Moon was holding a small bubble of silver energy. Inside the bubble was the Moon Locket.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!"

The energy that flowed towards Sailor Moon was halted by a dome of white light. Wicked Lady was amazed at the power of the Crystal. Everything flashed brightly, as the power of the crystal intensified.

Meanwhile, in thirtieth century Crystal Tokyo, the body of Neo-Queen Serenity, still forever trapped in her quartz shell, began to glow...

There was a bright flash of light, and Wicked Lady shielded her eyes. When she looked up, Sailor Moon had vanished. In her place, was Neo-Queen Serenity. The queen hovered over the ground only a few feet, and her body gave off an aura of magic. As she hovered, she held the Silver Crystal in its bubble, without the locket. Wicked Lady had stopped her attack.

"Mommy?"

"Listen to me, Rini." Neo-Queen Serenity said to her daughter. "Your memory. Remember the girls now."

The crescent moon on Neo-Queen Serenity's head began to flicker and flash, as she began to enter Rini's mind. Wicked Lady's Negamoon crescent shone, just like when she releases the Moon Beam, and she gripped her temples in pain. In a flash of light, she went into her memory.

Rini was crying after she had slipped and fallen again, much like when she did in the rain. It was near the royal palace. Rini was on the ground, crying, and her parents only stood some feet away, unwilling to help the child to her feet.

"You've cried enough, honey." Serenity said. Rini stopped, and looked at her mother.

"Why are you always so mean to me?" Rini cried. "Daddy, can you pick me up, please?"

The King of the Earth looked at his fallen daughter, and said,

"Try to get up yourself."

"You remember how we wouldn't help you up?" Neo-Queen Serenity said to her daughter. "That's because you weren't hurt, and could easily get up yourself. You also didn't listen to what we said, and as parents, we can't promote that behavior. If we'd picked you up, then you would cry every time you needed something, and never learn to try for yourself."

Wicked Lady was standing in front of the Dark Energy pillar, and was holding her head. The pain eased, and she said,

"Have I misunderstood?"

Tuxedo Mask rose to his feet, behind Neo-Queen Serenity, and Wicked Lady looked into her mothers eyes. Her mother looked lovingly back to her daughter.

"Lies!" Boomed the Wiseman's voice. "More lies! Don't listen to her! You needed love and attention, and they ignored you!"

The dark energy pillar grew in circumference, and engulfed Wicked Lady, Neo-Queen Serenity, and Tuxedo Mask. The power of the pillar intensified. The Sailor Scouts were worried. Inside the pillar, Wicked Lady, Tuxedo Mask, and Neo-Queen Serenity were floating.

"They never cared about you!" Wiseman's voice shouted. "Remember your loneliness! Your emptiness! You were born alone, and you will always remain alone!" A gleam of light shone from the top of the pillar. "All you can count on is the emptiness!"

"I was born alone," Wicked Lady repeated, "and I'll remain alone. Emptiness."

She went back into her memory of her mother telling her why they didn't help her, and suddenly, everything of the memory disappeared. Rini cried for her parents...

"They never cared about you!" Wiseman repeated. "You were always alone!"

"They never cared!" Wicked Lady said. "I am alone!"

"Rini, don't believe him!" Neo-Queen Serenity pleaded.

"Search your heart for the truth!" Shouted Tuxedo Mask.

"I was always alone." Wicked Lady said. "You left me alone." Her eyes flickered red. "You left me alone!"

She released an intense beam of energy at Neo-Queen Serenity and Tuxedo Mask. They were electrocuted by the energy, and held each other close. They screamed in pain, and Wicked Lady shouted again,

"You left me alone!"

Wicked Lady intensified her attack, and Neo-Queen Serenity looked at the woman of the Negamoon.

"Oh, Rini!" The Queen said. "You've got to get out of here! All this negative energy is destroying your mind! Please, honey! You've got to save yourself!"

"What about you?" Wicked Lady replied, unafraid. "It'll destroy you too, if you don't leave. Why are you staying? Are you really such a goodie-two-shoes?"

"I would never even think about leaving!" The Queen replied. "Until I knew you were safe and sound!" Wicked Lady looked at the Queen, even as she was being hit by the energy of the Negamoon.

"Listen, Rini." The Queen finally said. "Everyone sometimes gets real steamed at their parents. They seem too harsh, or unsympathetic. But, it's a parent's job to set limits, or else you grow up rueful and selfish! You've got to remember we do what we do because we love you so very much!" Neo-Queen Serenity raised the Silver Crystal to her chest. It began to shine with intensity, and overcame Wicked Lady's powers easily. "Try to remember the good times." The Queen said.

Wicked Lady remembered eating ice cream with Amy, working out with Raye, cooking with Lita, acting as a nurse with Mina, getting a piggy back ride from Darien, and cooking curry with Serena. The Queen pleaded,

"Feel our love for you. Those feelings should wash over your heart, and make you feel all warm inside."

"Hey, Rini!" Serena said in the image, smiling. "Don't you worry! I'll always be here for ya!" Serena changed into Neo-Queen Serenity, and there was a white flash.

Wicked Lady and Neo-Queen Serenity stood facing each other, holding hands.

"I feel warm and calm." Wicked Lady observed.

"You're feeling everybody's love for you, Rini." The Queen replied. "Best feeling in the world, isn't it?"

Wicked Lady looked on with wonder, at her mother.

"But, why?" Wicked Lady said. "Why do you guys care so much about me?"

"Because we love more than anybody else in the world, Rini." Replied the Queen. Darien nodded, and they both smiled warmly at Wicked Lady. Wicked Lady smiled, and said to herself,

"They love me. They truly love me!" Wicked Lady fell into her mother's arms, and her Negamoon Crescent was gone. From outside, the Sailor Scouts watched as the energy pillar suddenly stopped, revealing Neo-Queen Serenity, and Tuxedo Mask. Rini was sleeping peacefully in the Queen's arms. The three floated gingerly to the platform in an aura of light, and Sailor Moon returned to her original form. The Sailor Scouts were happy to see Rini back to herself, and Sailor Moon held the child close.

The Sailor Scouts crowded around Sailor Moon, as she tried to coax the little child into consciousness. She, like the others around her, was kneeling on the ground. Finally after much pleading, Rini's eyes began to open.

"May I have some pancakes?" Rini asked sleepily. Sailor Moon smiled happily, and said,

"Of course you can!"

"Oh, hi, everyone!" Rini said, looking at all her friends. "I really wasn't alone after all, was I? You guys were always right there with me! Once I began to remember my real memories, it made me feel all warm inside."

"Your mother, Neo-Queen Serenity, cares for you more than anyone else in this world!" Sailor Moon said. Rini smiled.

"I know." She said.

"You're such a good girl, Rini." Sailor Moon added. Suddenly, she collapsed into Darien's arms, weak from using the Silver Crystal.

"Are you alright?" Darien asked worriedly. Sailor Moon opened her eyes, and said,

"I guess."

"Oh, Sailor Moon." Rini said, with a look of worry at the weakened leader of the Sailor Scouts. "It's because you used the Silver Crystal."

"It's okay, I'm alright." Sailor Moon said in reply. Suddenly, the platform began to rumble around them. They all looked for the source of the sudden tremor. The energy flowing into the crystal pillars intensified.

"Wiseman!" Muttered Darien. Wiseman's voice suddenly boomed out over the Sailor Scouts.

"Thought you'd heard the last of me, didn't you? The Dark Gate is already opening!" He said sinisterly.

"What?" Darien exclaimed, looking towards the sky. All the Sailors looked, and sure enough, Wiseman was hovering over them, near the opening Dark Gate.

"That's right!" He said, with a laugh. "Soon, the energy of the Dark Crystal will emanate into your world with such massive force, this heap of rock and ice will vanish in an instant!"

"All those lives!" Sailor Mars shouted. "You won't do it!" Wiseman laughed.

"Wanna bet?"

Wiseman raised his crystal ball high above his head, and the pink energy began to fester in it. Wiseman shouted aloud,

"I am the Doom Phantom, and I'm gonna vaporize you!"

With that, Wiseman used the powers of the Dark Crystal to hit the Sailor Scouts with black lightning. The Sailor Scouts were being electrocuted, and the Dark Crystal began to glow. Dark energy began to pour into it, and the city of Tokyo, as well as the rest of the Earth, was in extreme danger. The dark energy radiation given off by the crystal grew in radius, consuming all that happened to be within it.

"Oh, no!" Cried Luna, who was standing atop a building with Artemis. "Look at that! What's happening?"

"The Dark Gate must be opening!" Said Artemis. The Dark Crystal was bathing in the bright pink light of the energy of the Doom Phantom, and Wiseman could feel it flowing through him. He laughed out loud, as he continued to torture the Sailor Scouts in their painful imprisonment.

"We've gotta destroy this whacko monster before he destroys us!" Said Darien.

"I'll stop him!" Came Sailor Moon's voice. Darien looked behind him where Sailor Moon was, and noticed that her locket had opened again. The Silver Crystal was shining brightly, and the powers of Wiseman's attack were harmlessly deflected, when the crystal erected a bubble of Moon energy. The Sailor Scouts were freed from the pain. Sailor Moon exclaimed,

"I'm gonna whip your butt!"

"You whip me?" Wiseman retorted, lowering his crystal ball. Sailor Moon rose to her feet, and began to walk towards the Wiseman. She walked past the Sailor Scouts, who were trying to recover from the intense pain caused by Wiseman's attack.

"That's right, pal!" Sailor Moon replied. "I've had it with you! You've tried to blast, bully, and badger my friends, and now you say you're gonna vaporize my planet? Well, it's not gonna happen, pal! In the name of the Moon, I'm gonna vaporize you!"

Sailor Moon gathered all her strength, as the Silver Crystal appeared in her hands.

"You're not strong enough to use the Silver Crystal yet!" Sailor Mercury exclaimed.

"She's right!" Added Mars worriedly. Sailor Moon paid no attention to the warnings of her friends. Wiseman raised his crystal ball over his head.

"The power of your Silver Crystal can't possibly rival mine!"

Another pillar of energy engulfed Sailor Moon, and the Sailor Scouts only watched helplessly, as she disappeared. Suddenly, the pillar was dispelled, and standing in her place, once again, was Neo-Queen Serenity. She held the Silver Crystal in her hands, and knew that, for the sake of the Earth, she had to fight in this final battle.

[BGM is "The Power of Love"]

Wiseman's eyes glowed bright red, and the Queen opened her eyes. She raised the Silver Crystal high in the air, and it glowed brightly. Wiseman raised his crystal ball, and began his part of the final battle. His crystal ball powered up, and the Dark Crystal reactor acted accordingly.

Wiseman thrust his crystal ball forward, and shot his energy at the Queen. Neo-Queen Serenity retaliated with the Silver Crystal, and the two energies clashed in a bright flash. Despite her valiant efforts, and the power of the Silver Crystal, Neo-Queen Serenity was struggling. The Powers of the Doom Phantom were strong, and she could barely hold up. But, she did anyway, and her efforts did not go unnoticed. She groaned, as her powers alone were weak against the powerful Doom Phantom, but she pressed on.

For the Earth, Sailor Moon...

"Now that the Dark Gate has opened, the power of the Silver Crystal is nothing!" Wiseman shouted. His words went unheard, as the Queen continued to hold of the powers of Wiseman, with amazing valor and perseverance. With her crystal, she had created a powerful bubble of Moon power energy, to push back the Wiseman's powers. As she continued to use her powers, she began to really struggle, as Wiseman's assault increased intensity.

Sailor Mercury: "Don't give up!"

Sailor Mars: "It's working!"

Sailor Jupiter: "Serena!"

Sailor Venus: "Do it, girl!"

Rini was being held by Darien, and she looked at her mother, struggling, and rapidly tiring, under the assault of the Wiseman. Neo-Queen Serenity was panting from exasperation, and Rini began to cry.

"Oh, no!" She said to herself. "It's all my fault!" She fell into Darien's arms. "It's all my fault, Darien!" She said. "It's all 'cause of me that it's happening! It's all my fault!"

A tear fell from Rini's eye, but it didn't hit the ground. It stopped in midair, and began to glow intensely. Suddenly, the tear changed its shape into that of the Silver Crystal. The Silver Crystal of the future. Rini beheld it amongst the torrential winds that gusted from the battling powers of Wiseman and Neo-Queen Serenity.

"The Crystal." She said to herself. "Now I know where the Silver Crystal went when I lost it! Right into my body!"

Rini arose, looking at the Wiseman with a look of silent determination.

"Rini!" Darien exclaimed. "What are you...?"

"Darien," Rini said, maturely and with determination, "I promise I won't lose it this time, but I need the Silver Crystal!"

"But, Rini, I can't let you!" Darien replied. "It's way too dangerous!"

"I don't care!" Said Rini. "You guys risked your lives to protect me!" Darien objected, and Rini just nodded. Darien arose.

"You're right." He said. "We've gotta fight him with all we've got!"

"Right!" Said Mercury, arising. "We'll hit him with all we've got!"

"For the sake of our beloved planet!" Mars shouted, rising.

"And, all the millions of people living there!" Added Jupiter, rising to her feet.

"And all future generations!" Proclaimed Venus, rising to her feet. Wiseman, undaunted, continued his assault on the weaker Queen.

"Don't waste my time!" He shouted. As he continued his assault effortlessly, Queen Serenity was on her last legs...

Wiseman's attack intensified. Neo-Queen Serenity still held her ground, but barely. One more push from the Wiseman, and she was surely finished. But, then, Rini was suddenly beside her.

Rini held the Silver Crystal high above her head, and it shone brightly. It's power intensified sharply, as if Rini had been born to use it.

"Silver Crystal!" She shouted, her clothes disappearing, only to change into Moon Princess garb. "Please give me the strength to protect my friends!" Rini was a Princess, as she was always meant to be, and her Moon Kingdom Crescent shone brightly on her forehead.

"What?!" Wiseman shouted in shock. His assault continued. "Two Silver Crystals?!"

"Oh, Rini!" Shouted Neo-Queen Serenity, looking to her daughter, who so bravely stood by her side.

"I need strength!" Rini shouted. "To fight!" She evoked the power of her Silver Crystal, and the Sailor Scouts quickly joined hands.

"MERCURY STAR POWER!"

"MARS STAR POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER!"

"VENUS STAR POWER!"

Neo-Queen Serenity, and Princess Rini rose high into the air, and the powers of the Planets were absorbed into it.

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Wiseman continued his assault, and laughed at the efforts of the Sailor Scouts.

"Try all you like!" He shouted. "Watch it, you can't touch the power of the Doom Phantom!"

The powers of Neo-Queen Serenity and Princess Rini exploded into a super nova of white light, the powers of the Moon Kingdom.

"Doom Phantom!" Shouted Neo-Queen Serenity.

"Go away forever!" Shouted Princess Rini. They both increased their combined attack at Wiseman. With a burst of light, Wiseman's powers were turned back at him, and a great burst of energy was emitted from the platform.

"WHAT?!" Wiseman shouted. "THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! NO ONE IS AS STRONG AS THE DOOM PHAN..."

Wiseman's words were cut off. With a great burst of energy, Wiseman was destroyed, and so was the Dark Crystal's power reactor. A great, large pillar of Moon energy shot out of the platform, and destroyed the Doom Phantom forever.

The battle was over...

[End "The Power of Love"]

Sailor Moon and Rini appeared within the light of the Moon power.

"So, where are we now?" Sailor Moon wondered, her eyes closed, just as Rini's were. "Oh, Rini, you were so brave!" She said. "And, now, the Doom Phantom is banished forever!"

"That's good!" Replied Rini.

"And now," continued Sailor Moon, "It's time to go home!"

Suddenly, both looked up startled at the light around them, and a voice, Neo-Queen Serenity's, rang out around them.

"The two Silver Crystals provided enough power to decimate the Dark Crystal." The Queen said. "And, once again, the power of goodness has prevailed!"

"Mommy!" Exclaimed Rini.

"Your friends are waiting for you!" Neo-Queen Serenity said. "You'd better hurry!"

Tuxedo Mask and the Sailor Scouts all kneeled beside their two fallen heroines, each unconscious. Sailor Moon lie in Darien's arms, and Rini in Sailor Mars'.

"Serena!" Darien said in tears. "Wake up! Serena!"

Serena's eyes opened slowly, and sleepily. She looked up at Darien.

"Darien!" She said.

"Serena."

Serena looked at her friends, who were huddled around her. They all breathed a collective sigh of relief at Sailor Moon's awakening, and Sailor Moon leapt out of Darien's hold when she saw that Rini hadn't awoken herself. She watched the child intently, and Rini slowly cracked open her eyes. Sailor Moon was overjoyed, and she embraced the girl tightly. The hexagonal platform that floated so high above the Dark Crystal was floating amongst many shards of crystal.

All of Tokyo, including Luna and Artemis, watched intently, as the Dark Crystal began to fall away into dust. It was hundreds of times more satisfying than watching a Droid die, or even the villains of the Negamoon Family. It's dissolving symbolized an everlasting peace, that would envelope the Earth for years to come. As it decayed, its energy radiation died with it, freeing all that were caught in its wrathful powers. As the last of the Dark Crystal disappeared, the sun arose, showing the start of a new era of life on Earth.

"Amazing!" Exclaimed Artemis exclaimed with an expression of happiness on his face. "The power of the Dark Crystal is completely gone! I don't know how they did it, but the Sailor Scouts won a big one this time!" Luna nodded in agreement.

"They saved Earth!" She said.

That day, when Tokyo was buzzing with life again, and the Earth was back to its daily routine, the girls stood with Rini in a park. Mina, Lita, Amy and Raye were standing around Rini, while Serena and Darien stood with each other.

"Thank you for everything, you guys!" Rini said, holding her Luna Ball.

"I guess we have to say good-bye, Rini." Raye said. Rini smiled at her.

"Check on my horoscope, okay?"

"And you keep up your studies!" Said Amy.

"I'll study real hard, Amy!" Rini said, smiling.

"Say hello to the future Scouts for us, Rini!" Lita said. Rini replied,

"I'm gonna miss all your great cooking, Lita."

"Hey, don't eat too many candies!" Mina said with a friendly wink.

"No, I won't." Rini replied. "I promise. I'm really gonna miss hanging out with you, Mina." She looked to Serena and Darien. She knew deep in her heart, as did Serena, that they really had to say good-bye. The two just stared at each other for a moment. Darien looked to Serena, and said,

"Go ahead, Serena." Serena nodded, and walked forward. Rini did too, and they stopped a few feet in front of each other. Rini looked up at Serena, and Serena tried to hold back her tears, as she struggled with her words.

"Come on, Serena." Raye said. "You've gotta say good-bye now."

Darien called Serena's name. Serena looked at the child in front of her for only a moment longer, before they leapt into each other's arms, and hugged tightly.

"Thank you for everything." Rini said, sobbing. "Mommy." She turned, and got into a clear area. Serena watched as she went. Rini stopped, and held up her Time Key. She smiled, to leave Serena and the girls with a good memory of her, and she held her Luna Ball.

"You were all really great to me." She said, still with the sadness in her voice. "Bye, guys!"

There was a flash of light, and Rini disappeared from the lives of the Sailor Scouts, as well as Serena, Darien, Amy, Raye, Lita and Mina forever.

"I guess that's good-bye, Rini." Serena said sadly. Darien put a hand on her shoulder.

"Just for now." He said, comfortingly. Serena nodded.

When Rini arrived back in the thirtieth century, Crystal Tokyo was no longer locked in its eternal darkness. The sky was bright blue, the sun shone warmly in the sky, and the city of Crystal Tokyo itself was vibrant with life. Rini was overjoyed, and was in a meadow. She ran through it happily as the child she was, until she saw six forms that were familiar to her. She slowed to a walk, and looked into the eyes of her mother for the first time since the horrible incident with the Negamoon first occurred.

Neo-Queen Serenity, The King of the Earth, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus all watched as Rini curtsied to them gracefully. When Rini came out of it, tears were in her eyes, and she stared at her mother for a moment.

"Mommy!" She exclaimed, as she rushed into her mother's arms. Neo-Queen Serenity hugged her daughter warmly, smiling in the beautiful daylight.

"Oh, Rini!" She exclaimed, holding Rini close. Tears streamed down Rini's face.

"You've saved our world, my darling!" Neo-Queen Serenity said.

"Welcome home."
