The Kunos

The Kunos have got to be the most wicked, (and yet most amusing) family in the Ranma 1/2 series. Tatewaki Kuno dreams of sweeping the "Pig Tailed Girl" into his arms and Kodachi dreams of romance with Male Ranma. Of course, he also dreams of defeating Male Ranma, and she dreams of defeating that Pig Tailed Hussy in combat. So, together they toss an interesting aspect into the story. No matter which form Ranma takes, he will be both loved and hated.

The heir to the Kuno fortune, Principal Kuno's first born, the undefeated champion of the kendo club, is Tatewaki Kuno. Of course, all that means nothing when he's fighting Ranma, as he will always lose. He has a passion for quoting Shakespeare and will never fight a good looking girl. He often dreams of romance with Akane Tendo and the Pig Tailed Girl.

Next in the line to the name of Kuno, is the evil mistress Kodachi. She has a passion for Ranma, gymnastics and black roses, so at one point she combined the three into a Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics contest with female Ranma, using male Ranma as the prize. Now, she blackmails and offers Ranma gifts in return for his hand in marriage. She can't stand Akane Tendo or The Pig Tailed Girl, but is madly in love with Male Ranma..

Sometimes they are funny, sometimes they are serious, but without the Kunos, Ranma 1/2 would just about be nothing.
