Mousse

Mousse is a young Chinese martial artist who grew up near Joketsuzoku, where Shampoo lived. As a child, he proposed to her several times but everytime he did, he either mistook something for her (ie - a cow) or was refused by Shampoo. Mousse just couldn't win her heart, but he never gave up.

During his attempts to win her, Shampoo gave Ranma the kiss of death and followed him/her into Japan. There, she fell in love with male Ranma, and after he defeat in shame, Shampoo and Cologne moved to Japan. Naturally, Mousse packed up and followed. That is when he, while respecting the amazon laws, challenged Ranma for Akane.

He lost the match and returned to China for more training. The guide took him to Jusenkyo, where he accidentally slipped into the water, which was from the "Spring Of Drowned Duck." With a curse, he did what all the other victims of the curse didn't do. He brought back the water to Japan and tried to use it as a weapon against Ranma.

After his return, Shampoo was talked into letting her be the prize of a duel between Ranma and Mousse. If Mousse won, Shampoo would date him. Mousse lost again, so he is back to where he started, BUT he does have a part time job at Cologne's restaurant, the Cat Cafe Ramen shop.
