KAMAE-WAZA
THE POSTURE TECHNIQUES

KAMAE means the way of making up mind and body when you face your opponent.

There are three kinde of KAMAE;.

1) JODAN ( upper or face area )

2) CHUDAN ( middle or chest area )

3) GEDAN ( lower or area of body )

They are distinctive depending on the place of hande and feet, the distance between the fighters, and their own techniques and fighting methods.

The important thing is that KAMAE should freely be able to change into offense or defense.

The basic KAMAE is CHUDAN ( half body stance ).
