Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET)
Programme participants have the opportunity to join AJET, an association created as a support group to
keep participants in contact with other people on the Programme and inform them of events both in their
prefecture and nationally. After joining AJET, for a small fee, it is possible to join an interest group such as the Australian Nationality Group (ANG). |
The ANG's main activity is the production of a newsletter that
keeps participants up to date with news about Australia. The newsletter also contains Australian-related lesson ideas, lists
of websites to visit, resource material reviews for people studying Japanese, travel destinations within Japan and much more. The ANG also has a resource library of materials that members can borrow to help them teach about Australia. In conjunction with the newsletter, the ANG has created a website to facilitate communication between members as the newsletter is only issued monthly. The website will not contain newspaper articles from the newsletter but will eventually cover most of the other categories. In addition to this, we also hope to have information about upcoming ANG events, reports of past events and general information about Australia and Japan. |
