"Fun" In Brunei

Warning: If you get excited looking at semi-naked men and animals engaging in decadent activities (i.e. posing with no shirt on), then please do not carry on as I will not be held responsible for any harm caused by this morally-incorrect picture.

This photograph was taken during one of our topography training exercises in Brunei. That place was just like "heaven" on earth, providing you with free blood cleansing services (courtesy of all the mosquitoes, sand-flies and, for the "lucky" few, leeches), great food (in the form of SAF combat rations) and free water everywhere you go (the bloody rain just never seem to stop). In fact, everyone's mood was so bad there that we engaged in frequent Hokkien "cultural" exchanges involving a certain part of the female's anatomy whenever we spoke. Voted "Best Place for Your Honeymoon" (if you're a nut-case) by the SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) Critics poll.

Brunei Training...

Well, from our smiles in the photograph, you may think that we were having fun. However, the truth was far from it, because:
1) We were lost
2) We were VERY lost
We must have created SAF history by being the worse company to ever take the topography test, since only ONE section (not shown here because they were walking while we were resting), managed to pass the test. The rest of the company (yes, it includes everyone here), flunked the test and had to go back for a re-test. Due to the large number of clowns found in this picture, I will not go into introducing everyone of them as this will bore you senseless.

  • Ah Zhong: Can anyone spot me? (reminds you of some "Where's Wally" game right? Sorry, but no prizes for guessing correctly) I'm the idiot standing on the bottom left side of the photo, wearing the "stylo" (my friends call it stupid-looking) "A-go-go" black spectacles. I know the picture's a bit grainy, but check out my "rippling" biceps! Hahaha...

  • Tau Pui Lim (Big Fat Lim) or Tau Tao Lim (Big Head Lim): The photographer of this picture, and thus, he was not in it. I feel the need to mention him here for his vast (pun intended) contribution to this picture, since he had to climb up a 2 Metre high slope (something terribly difficult for a man with his size and dexterity) to take this picture.
