Jackie Chan films in Japan

Police Story
- Different opening scene, Early scene in the squad room for birthday party.
- Scene with Jackie at the other police station walking on sidewalk and stepping onto cow manure, and moonwalks it off.
- Another scene in the other police station where he has a funny phone dispatch scene, and then tries to make a cup of noodles, eating them with pencils instead of chopsticks and swallowing the erasers.
- Longer scene at the shantytown where he has a run-in with the cop he's accused of killing later.
- Longer scene with the rookie cop at the shantytown shoot-out where he wets his pants. Some versions don't show it at all.
- Fight scene at the mall is longer, and the jump from the balcony is shot from a different angle, end fight scene with Mr. Ko, Jackie does not freeze-frame while being held by the other cops, instead he continues to beat up Mr. Ko, then he and Maggie leave the building with 2 cops and Brigitte Lin in custody. Outside, they turn around and look at each other sadly, while tons of people and police cars move by them.
- Then the outtakes, there are several extra and different sets of outtakes, including one where Jackie puts a gun into his mouth and pretends to pull the trigger, then another one in the courtroom scene.

Police Story 2
- The beginning is longer, and shows the freeway race by the trucks for several minutes before Jackie gives them tickets.
- Also, the squad room scene is longer where Uncle Bill introduces Jackie to the new under-cover team known as the "Dogs" (of which the three girls in the interrogation room come from)
- There is another scene with them as they help find the kidnapper at the pay phone.
- Also, the scene where Uncle Bill passes gas on the elevator at the high-rise building is cut out of most versions, but not this one.
- The rest is pretty much the same, except for the outtakes, and there are extra ones.

Project A
- Extra scene where they interrogate a snitch and beat him up.
- Also some versions don't show the nude scene in the shower.
- Extra outtakes

Project A 2
- Extra scene with Sammo at the log yard, and on the pirate's island.
- Extra outtakes

Rumble in the Bronx
- The US version added an opening scene of the plane, but that's not in the original. The scenes in this movie have been shuffled around so much that trying to keep them in order is tough.
- 2 extra scenes at the market with Anita, where she gets beat up by the gang members.
- Longer scene of Jackie in front of the one-way mirror.
- Longer scene where after Jackie beats up the hoods for the first time, he explains kung-fu to the other store employees.
- Extra scene with Francois Yip, where she and Jackie are kissing in front of her door and Anita jumps out of the shadows and yells at Jackie and slaps him.
- The workout scene in the morning is longer and shows Jackie doing 10 handstand pushups and other excercises.
- Chinese wedding scene after the American wedding scene.
- The main thing about this movie is the dialogue. The HK and Jap. versions are a different storyline than the US versions. Jackie is an HK cop helping his uncle with the problem he's having with his gangmembers. His father is now dead, and not just back in HK, and he admits to a girlfriend "May" in HK. Also, the deal for the market takes on a more serious tone. Anita's character accuses Jackie and Bill of trying to defraud her by not telling her about the gangs. Jackie in turn gives her some money back. In the US version he says it's paperwork. The rest of it is pretty much the same, and there are no extra outtakes.

Armour of God
- Extra outtakes, and
- a different song sung by Jackie instead of Alan Tam, in English.
- Some versions don't have the bedroom scene between him and Rosamund Kwan.

Wheels on Meals
- Extra scene where Biao and Jackie are sightseeing with the girl pickpocket, some versions don't show it.
- Outtakes of the fight with Benny.

Miracles
- Longer version than the HK. Mostly consists of the con-game between Uncle Bill and Richard Ng, and his relationship with Anita.

Drunken Master 2
- Actually has the very last scene with Jackie acting retarded deleted for lack of good taste.

Protector
- Protector: Primarily the same as the HK version, extra fight scenes, and nudity and profanity removed. Extra scene with girl at dance class and longer fight scene with Dick Wei.

- extra scene with Ken Lo as a gay terrorist,
- extra scene of the nightclub.
- After regular outtakes, there are 8 minutes of additional outtakes narrated by some DJ in Japanese.
- Different ending song.

Twin Dragons
- Laser includes clips and out-takes from Police Story 1 and 2 under closing credits. The SFX are better in this version than in the HK version.
