Seramyu
Review
The Sailor Moon Musicals are pretty amusing. It's interesting
to see what animated characters could look like in real life. The special
effects, dancing, singing (I love the music), costume, story, all of it
is usually superb!
Subtitled Seramyu?
Recently I've had the pleasure of joining (heading) a
project to subtitled Seramyu. Go here for more info:

The Soundtracks
What excellent soundtracks!!! The choruses are great and
Tuxedo Mask is actually pretty cool for the half minute that he sings.
I've never bought any CDs that were so worth listening to.
But I don't have time to review the CDs, so please enjoy
my thorough scans of the booklets. If you like cosplay or just want to
see what Japanese people look like when dressed as Sailor Moon characters,
this might be a good spot. I think someone on the Myu mailing list said
that the suits are different so that the audience can see the actresses
better.

The Videos
Actual videos of the performances! I have scans of
all the video covers that I have.

Seramyu Downloads
Seramyu multimedia! Here's my policy: I'm not
wild about mp3's and I won't encode anything that non-Japanese residents
can buy. That said, please enjoy my small collection of Seramyu omake
footage, guides, and random stuff.
Download stuff
Useful terms
Fan kansha - Kansha means appreciation
Omake - Japanese for bonus
Koushiki Guide Video - Koushiki means official
Preorder Video- Videos ordered only in the theater, comes with special
extra footage including interviews, behind the stage rehersals, singing,
goofing off, senshuuraku footage
Senshyuuraku - Last Performance, usually filled with stuff not in the
usual performance.
Trivia
-
Anza (1st Sailor Moon) and the Moon Lips sang the opening songs to SMS
and SMSS
-
Anza's the voice of a girl in Card Captor Sakura eps 43. She also sings
the second opening to CCS I think. Her song Mienai Chizu is also played
in CCS too.
-
Ayako Morino (1st Sailor Mercury) starred in a Hong Kong movie called "The
Poet". In it she seduces a guy who is a poet... Thanks to Rei, one of undoubtedly
so many... HK
critics review of it with pictures
-
Fumina Hara (2nd Sailor Moon) won a beauty contest, captured in the video/DVD
"Kaze no michi", which I think means "Path of wind"
I made a little
page describing my favorite actress Anza Oyama, Sailor Moon for the First
Stage. But Neko's site is more thorough than mine.
How to get them?
Well... living in Japan is one course of action...
Or if you live near SF, you can stop by Japantown. There, they have a video
store called Japan video where
they have so much anime to rent and sell. Of course, used anime
over the internet is cheaper...
Animail: http://www.mmsystems.com/animail/
This place is a LEGITIMATE place to get videos and CDs from Seramyu.
It's the real deal, I spent ~$300 there and it was worth it.
CD Japan: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/
Another LEGITIMATE place to get Seramyu AND many other anime related items.
Only problem is that I've never had the money to burn here.
The following sites are fan copy sites, please consider
only using them to get rare omake videos.
Setsuna-kou

Stylings Lain's site. She also sells copies (including some stuff that's
hard to find

I hate Tokyopop, but I've talked to Mars and she's okay, the idea of a
