Fanfic home Red Tag-The Unfortunate Meeting

Disclaimer: Don't own Inuyasha cast or the idea of Hana Yori Dango. ^_^ I also do not own any of the brands I mention in here.

Hello everyone! This is my third inuyasha fiction I'm starting, and I got the idea when I watched the meteor garden TV show. You would NOT believe how well the characters fit in the story, so I was surprised when nobody else did it yet. (I think. If someone has I certainly haven't read it.) This is definitely an Inu/Kag, even though it may seem to be a Sess/Kag. Less talk, more fic, enjoy!

Summary: A/U: Kagome, a not-so-rich girl attends an exclusive private school, where she meets Y4, the most popular and handsome group on campus. Nobody EVER messes with them, so what'll happen when Kagome does? Inu/Kag

Oh, and remember Rin is their same age as them in this. And Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru aren't brothers.

The Unfortunate Meeting

*~*~*~*~*~*~

Wakashu Private High School. Where every rich family deposits their kids, and hope they associate better with their own kind, the upper class, of course.

Kagome was different. She was raised in a middle-class family, with one brother Souta. Her parents work their butts off to earn enough to keep her at Wakashu, hoping one day their daughter will marry a rich man. And then maybe another day bring that wealth into their family.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Kagome! Good morning!" Greeted a girl as she ran past the limos and Mercedes-Benz's to reach Kagome.

Kagome had on her normal school uniform, the usual green and white one, and her raven hair was braided into two like always.

She smiled sweetly when she noticed her friend running towards her. "Hello Rin. Good morning to you too."

Puffing when she finally caught up with Kagome, Rin said, still huffing. "Did you hear? Kikyou got a Louis Vuitton bag!"

Kagome scoffed. "Yea. So? She gets one practically every week. What's so great about that?"

Rin sighed. "Nothing, really. It's just so unfair sometimes, you know, Kag? The most we can afford is a Calvin Klein bag. Sometimes I think we're the poorest students around here."

"Rin, you say that everyday. So what if it's true? That doesn't make them any better than us-"

Kagome was cut off by a snotty voice. "Kagome, Rin, like my gorgeous new bag? Daddy picked it up for me when he went to Paris last week."

They both turned around to see Kikyou and Yura, as prissy as ever, with their new designer brand clothing. Same old, same old.

Rin replied in a sappy voice. "I love it Kikyou! You know, all Kagome and I can afford are those Vinyl or Calvin Klein bags."

Kagome grumbled to herself and thought, 'So what? They're practical! Why are you even sucking up to them, Rin?"

Kikyou grinned. "It cost daddy $3000 dollars, but it was completely worth it!"

Kagome gasped and pondered to herself. '$3000!!!! That's two month's pay for me, you spoiled little brat!'

Yura interrupted them. "Kikyou, I don't even know why you're talking to them, let's go."

"Ta-ta girls!" Laughed Kikyou as she and her friend trotted off.

"What a bitch, that Kikyou! She thinks she can just rub it in because-" Kagome complained.

Rin sighed. "Yea, isn't it wonderful?"

Kagome rolled her eyes and dragged her friend to their first class.

*~*~*~*~*~*

A crowd was gathered around the door of their classroom when Kagome and Rin reached them. They peered in the doorway and noticed Hiten, thin and pale as a ghost, shoving his books and equipment into a box. He had always looked so full of life, and he had been one of the only students nice to Kagome at this school.

Now that she thought of it, Hiten hadn't attended class in days, maybe even weeks.

"What's going on?" Kagome whispered to a fellow student.

The girl whispered back without looking at Kagome. "He's been red-tagged. He's just here today to pack up his stuff."

Kagome could do nothing but watch. She knew just how much power Y4's parents had on the school, and if she talked to him now she might be in the same position Hiten was in now.

BANG!

Hiten's books splattered all over the floor, yet no one moved an inch. Slowly, he bent down and carefully picked them up one by one.

This was just going too far. Were the students here that easily influenced?

"I'm going to go help him!" She demanded and tried to push through the crowd, but immediately a hand snatched her shoulder and pulled her back.

"Rin! What are you doing? Look at the poor guy!" Kagome explained, feeling excruciatingly guilty.

"Please Kagome, don't let your niceness ruin your life! You know anyone who even goes NEAR someone who is red-tagged will get a red card themselves?" Pleaded Rin.

"But, but-" Before she could complain Hiten had his box in his hands and walked slowly out the door. Everyone shuffled for his or her lives, to get out of his way. Once he was nowhere to be seen the entire class piled into the classroom.

Kagome sat down at her desk and tried to push out the conversations of her classmates going on around her.

"Did you see how pale he was? Like a ghost!"

"Poor guy. Didn't last a month, he shouldn't have ticked them off."

"What'd Hiten do?"

"He tried to defend his brother Manten and insulted them."

"You know, I feel kinda sorry for him..."

"Then why don't you go talk to him?"

"NO WAY! I'd never be able to live down being tagged!"

"Who do you like best in Y4?"

"I can't decide, you know? Every one of them is so hot!"

Sick and tired of her class, she laid her head down on her binder to rest, when her friend Ayu piped up, "So, where do ya girls want to go today? The club?"

Kagome replied, "Nah, sorry. I have to go work today."

Ayu looked confused. "Work? Is that for credits or something?"

Kagome shook her head. "Nope. Allowance."

She took that back immediately when the group of girls starting comparing allowances again.

Kagome turned around to leave when Rin shouted, "Kagome, where are you going?"

"Restroom." With that Kagome bolted out the door.

'How can all those morons be so naïve? Another student just got kicked out, and all they can talk about is clubbing and allowances? I HATE this school!'

Wanting to relieve her anger, Kagome stormed off to the top floor of the building. Overlooking the balcony, she screamed, "I HATE Y4! GO TO HELL, ALL OF YOU! I NEVER WANNA SEE YOUR FACIALED FACES AGAIN! I HOPE YOU ASSHOLES ALL DIE OF...um...OVER-EATING! YEA! *phew* THAT FELT MUCH BETTER!"

Wiping the sweat off her brow, Kagome turned around and headed back into the school, completely unaware of the man sitting just around the corner.

*~*~*~*~*~*~

'Basically, there was no real point of me even coming to this school. I'm like a common plant swimming in a pile of organic vegetables.' Is what Kagome thought when she reminisced what her parents had told her at the beginning of the school year.

"Mom...I don't wanna go to that snotty school! Can't I just go to the normal public school Sango goes to?" Whined Kagome.

Her mom snapped. "What are you saying? Your dad works all day and night in that school in the hope that you can make friends with people like them. Do you want to bring shame into this family Kagome?"

"Nooo..." Sighed Kagome, disappointed at her mom's answer. If she cared so much, why didn't her mom enrol at that school? Yeesh!

All Kagome needed to do was to keep repeating what she'd been repeating since the first day of school. "Only two more years, only two more years!"

Since she was in grade 11, Kagome would be graduating soon, and since her grades weren't bad she managed to do fine on the academic side.

This was exactly what she was thinking during her classes' turn as clean up monitors.

She was just sweeping the floor when a loud voice rang out. "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

Kagome swung around to see whom else but Y4, walking down the hall, as egoistic as ever.

Their leader, supposedly, repeated. "I SAID, what the fuck did you do?"

Kagome quickly scanned the guy: tall, muscular, white hair; frown on face, a speck of dust on his knee.

The guy quickly shrunk back. "I'm very sorry Inuyasha, I didn't mean to-"

Before he could finish, Inuyasha had kicked the guy in the face, sending him against a wall, making him drop his sweeper. He then proceeded to knock over a few other garbage cans with his feet.

"Hey man, good thing you're not hall monitor." Said the dark, longhaired one.

Inuyasha grinned. "Shut up, Kouga. Your jokes suck."

The other two laughed, and Y4 proceeded to walk off. One of them stopped and picked up a garbage can, one hand in his pocket.

"Hey Sess, what are you doing? Let's go." The dark-haired short one yelled.

"Yea, whatever. Coming."

(Can you figure out who the four are now? ^_^)

And with that, they left, not a care in the world, when the hall was 8 times messier than it had been before.

The guy slammed into the wall had his glasses broken, and garbage clogged the halls.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Wow Kagome, Y4 sounds so cool!" Gushed Sango. They worked part part-time at the bakery, the Happy Muffin. The girls didn't have to bake anything; they just had to sell cakes.

"Yea right. The leader looks like some sorta sicko with that long, long hair. It's longer than any girl at school, and did I mention it's white? What is he, an old man? And to top it off, he has a MAJOR attitude problem." Explained Kagome.

"Still, they sound so interesting! At my school there aren't any intriguing guys like that!" Sango said happily. "But why are they called Y4?"

Kagome smirked. "Now this is the funny part. Y4 stands for Youkai 4! I mean, what the hell is that supposed to mean? HA HA HA!"

Noticing Sango wasn't laughing with her, Kagome stopped.

Sango said dreamily. "Maybe because they're as strong and mysterious as a youkai? And to top it off they're rich!" (AN: I apologize for Sango's WAY OoC!)

"Pffmph...yea right. They're not that great Sango, they're just a bunch of digusting bastards." Kagome told her.

Sango lowered her head. "Oh...but at least one of them isn't QUITE as bad, right, Kag?"

Kagome brought her hand up to her chin. "Well...now that I think of it one of them isn't so bad, I guess."

'I mean, that guy named 'Sess' seemed to be a bit more mature than those other childish bastards!' Kagome thought.

"Kagome...?" Sango asked, pretending to look at the displays.

"Yea?"

"Remember in middle school, you know, when we used to be the best of friends? Yea, well, when a boy made me cry you always went after them until they apologized to me."

Kagome snickered. "Yea, I remember."

"But..." Added Sango sadly. "The students at Wakashu don't get to meet the assertive and wonderful Kagome I used to know. As your friend, I'm saddened by that."

"Sango...I didn't know-" Kagome said suddenly.

"It's ok. I just wish...you know."

"Yea." Kagome nodded.

'Actually Sango, I have changed. All I want now is to stay in the dark and not stand out. I just want to get through these two years.' Pondered Kagome sadly when she packed up for home.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"Hey Rin!" Kagome smiled brightly when she saw Rin standing by her locker. "Wanna walk to Biology with me?"

Rin nodded. "Sure. You know Kagome, honestly, do you think of us as friends?"

"Of course, Rin! Why?" Kagome questioned. She hadn't known Rin like she had known Sango. She had just met Rin at the beginning of the year, and Sango had been a childhood friend.

"It's just..." Continued Rin. "I just didn't want to be the only one in our friendship who considered us actual friends."

Kagome was shocked. "Rin! Of course you're my friend! Now let's cut this sappy stuff and go! We're gonna be late for class!"

Rin smiled and ran to catch up with Kagome, who was starting down the stairs. She lost her balance and struggled to straighten up, but failed.

She ended up sliding down the stairs on her bottom.

"Owowowowowowee!!!"

Rin expected a rough landing, but instead tumbled onto something...soft.

"Owww...my butt!" Rin said. When she looked up she distinguished the expression on Kagome's face, and it wasn't good.

"Hm?" Looking down, Rin realised she was sitting on top of Inuyasha, with her foot in his face. The other Y4 were standing behind him. Obviously they just had to choose that time to come up the stairs.

"Oh no..."

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Did everyone like that? I know it's not my idea, but the main purpose of this fic is to interpret the Inuyasha characters into this clever story! ^_^ I really like writing this story, and this chapter is by far the longest story I've written in comparison to the others.

Review if you want more. ^_^
