Born as Bu Koutoku in Kotou, this lad is only 15 years old and saw his parents killed in a civil war. Once Amiboshi pretended to be Chiriko and tried to stop Suzaku No Miko to call out Suzaku but failed in his action. He fell into a flooding river hoping the war would end when without him. However, he was saved by a couple in a peaceful village called Village Maka in Sairo. They called him Kaika. Amiboshi pretended to have all memories lost and lived there as their son because he enjoyed the peaceful life there.
Months later, he saved Miaka when hunting a big weasel at night. From her Amiboshi knew that Seiryuu could be called out even without him. He tried to help Miaka find Tamhome and protect her
from the attack by Tomo.In the end, his twin brother Suboshi saved them all. Amiboshi wanted Suboshi to forget the past and live peacefully with him by drinking a kind of medicine called 'Emotion Forgetting Herb'. In the half way of drinking it, Suboshi kissed Amiboshi and let him drink the medicine because he couldn't forget Yui whom he loved. Therefore, Amiboshi really had forgotten everything and lived peacefully as Kaika.
