Book 1 ~In year 1925, a wealthy man bought a horse named, Basilis. Other then the horse caretaker's daughter, no one, including the owner could ride on that horse.The gal, fell in love with the owner's nephew, Awa Midorikawa. However, the owner had set his eyes on the gal and forcedthe gal to marry him. Awa rode on Basilis in pursue of the gal. Unfortunately, he fell off the mare and died. But the gal was already pregnant with Awa's child. Time files to year 1997...where the gal's great-granddaughter meets Awa's nephew, the owner of Hotel Basilis! Where he decided to employ her as the sculptor of a new Basilis for the hotel's entrance. Then he found out that she was actually his blood related relative.

Book 2 ~The gal's great-granddaughter now have to face new challenge. For the past 8 years, she had an untold secret affair with her teacher, Shikata Koji. This dark, untold, secret sex affair will hindle her relationship with Awa's nephew, the owner of Hotel Basilis. Yet, the more she doesn't want him to know about it, she saw a gossip report about her and her teacher on his table one fine day. She then began to tell him her story. Actually, he was the one who sent this article to the gossip magazine. He used her to help him in his plan of breaking up his marriage plans with a wealthy girl whom he was forced to marry by his family. His plans went well, but in the process he had hurt the gal's feelings. She decided to leave him! Then she met her Koji. He was suffering from alcohol poisoning and she decided to take care of him. Then on fine day, one of Koji's student appeared! He asked Koji to grade his works but Koji refuse. When the gal saw it, she praised him. After he left, she asked Koji for his name....he was the nephew of the Midorikawa(the owner of Hotel Basilis)!
