Story: Damien Gordon, reincarnation of Prince Damien, starts off as your average college student/football star, majoring in Computer Sciences. That is, until a run-in with the NegaVerse, a battle in which his ability to channel planetary power is revealed.

Upon meeting Amy, he falls in love with her immediately, but seems dejected by her harshness towards him. However, an incident at Pickwick Place, an incident in which Amy and Darien share an innocent handshake, a link from the Silver Millenium is created between them. Amy is still reluctant, though, until a friendly kiss reactivates Amy's memories and they are reunited with each other.

Once the other Star Guardians are assembled, Damien assumes control of the Star Guardians and issues the challenges to Queen Beryl. The first time is unsuccessful, but with harder training, they resend the challenge. This time, they defeat the NegaVerse, but at a cost more deadly than anyone could ever imagine.

Kodanna Nakorru/Prince Nakorru

Story: Kodanna Nakorru is an exchange student form the Sailor Scouts cross-town rival of Furinken High School. He is studying English Literature in hopes of going back home and teaching the works of Shakespeare and others to those less fortunate than he. His power is discovered by a test from Zoicite and Prince Damien's intervention. Nakorru's future bride is Raye, but one couldn't tell at first glance; they are more like rivals than a couple, but thanks to a little intervention from a love-sick Serena and Darien, not to mention Nakorru handing Raye a fiery red rose for forgiveness, they discover the true love that had been hiding inside of them for ages. Nakorru's level head keeps the other Guardians at bay when they lose the Star Fragments, and he fights the hardest to reclaim his fragment from Zoicite. He and Damien are also really good friends.

Andrew Smith/Prince Andrew

Note: Andrew is the second most powerful of the Guardians, thanks to his attack's reach. He also has the ability to control the weather.

Story: Andrew Smith is a freshman in college, majoring in Business Management. He also runs the local Ice Skating rink near the UAB campus. He is threatened by Neflyte, but with some help from Lita, who shows everyone that she's Sailor Jupiter (much to the chagrin of a nearby Damien and Nakorru), he realizes his true potential, and with the help of the aforementioned Guardians, he becomes Prince Andrew.

Andrew is the silent type; always plotting, always thinking of ways to better the group. He doesn't have an ego, but he does have a small amount of machisma in him, which is why he decides to go along with the first attack against Queen Beryl, instead of thinking it out. He gains character through the second training, and he learns to control his attack significantly.

With the help of Lita, Andrew learns that education isn't everything. He also learns love can overcome any downfall, which he realizes after almost losing Lita to the NegaVerse.

Donovan Crawford/Prince Donovan

Note: Donovan is an expert at Shotokan Karate, the same form as Darien. He is also a very learned person, with expertise in Japanese Mythology.

Story: Donovan Crawford is a Political Science/Theatre Arts major, not to mention a wide receiver on the football team, which eliminates him from the dumb jock category as well. Donovan's run-in with Malachite creates an uproar in downtown Birmingham, but with the help of Prince Darien in Tuxedo Mask guise, he realizes his true potential and becomes Prince Donovan on his own.

Donovan's fatal flaw is his lack of concentration. He sometimes forgets something immediately after he's told about it, but with a little help from the Star Guardians, not to mention some help from Mina, his mind begins to strengthen and grow and he begins to think in analytical terms instead of just physical. He also falls in love with Mina after a simple thank-you hug reactivates their memories.

Donovan is put to the test against Malachite in the first attack, a test that almost costs him his life due to the aforementioned lack of concentration. However, in the second strike, he comes back more powerful, more energetic, and more skilled than before

King Mercury

Note: King Mercury is the motovational leader of the Star Guardians. He is the one who trains them in their respective arts.

Story: King Mercury exists only in the eyesights of the Sailor Scouts and Star Guardians. King Mercury is a ghost who serves as a mentor and a guardian, sort of like Luna, Artemis, and Queen Serenity originally did for the Sailor Scouts. King Mercury, along with Darien's father, King Endymion, is the original Star Guardian, and he finds Damien and helps him cultivate his secret past.

King Mercury is a father figure to the Star Guardians, and he proves that by playing matchmaker with the Guardians and the Scouts. His words of wisdom echoes in the ears and hearts of every member who hears them, and they serve as a form of guidance.

His other purpose outside of being a mentor is to have the ability to replace Prince Damien, a purpose he uses later on in their adventures when Prince Damien is preoccupied. He is skilled in each and every martial art form known to man, and even a few that were prevalent only in the Mercury Kingdom. He proves to be an important asset all the way to the end.

Kunzite

Age: 26 (assumed)

Birthplace: NegaVerse

Note: Kunzite was not seen in the original series, primarily because neither Queen Beryl nor Queen Metallia had the energy to revive him. Also, in Japan, Kunzite's name would be Malachite because in Japan, Malachite's name is Kunzite.

Story: Kunzite playfully goes by the name "Kunzite the doppleganger" because that's what describes his powers. Kunzite is the NegaVerse's answer to Prince Darien, who defeated him pathetically during the Silver Millenium. Thwat is how Darien was able to warn the others about the NegaVerse's arrival.

Kunzite's main power is the abillity to mimic the appearance, and in some cases, the attitudes, of his victims. It turns out to be a valuable asset, because he mimics one of Damien's football friends who just happen to be walking too close to Damien and donovan as they talk about a preparation to attack Queen Beryl.

Kunzite attacks Prince Darien immediately upnon the Sailor Scouts and Star Guardians' arrival to the NegaVerse. He uses his UltraStrike attack to knock Darien unconscious and strip the Star Fragment from him.
