Hiei's veiw of all Makai became darker as the bright orange sun began to drop under the clouds. As the fire youkai watched thestars appear very suddenly through the sky he concentrated on hes depts. Now the age of 27. Lived in Makai with his friend and trainer Muruko all these years. Never had he had gone back to the Nigenkai for any reason. He always wondered how his beloved sister is. .....He missed her...so much.
Autumn time. He took a deep breathe and inhaled the smell of the pine of the golden reddish trees. As the wind blew past by him, a leaf caught his eye. Dark red with the shape of star. It made a sweet and golden memory pop into his mind.
"Onnisan! Where are you going?" Yukina caught Hiei's attention from behind him. He turned around to see her chibi cute face. She looked as of worried. It was the same time of year as of now. The golden red brown leaves dropped unto the ground and blew across the atmosphere.
Hiei closed his eyes and turned back around.
"I'm going back to Makai." he said coldy in his usual tone.
"How long will you be there?" his worried sister asked.
"As long as Muruko keeps me there. Anyways, I like it there." Hiei answered.
Yukina looked down. "Isn't it dangerous out there?" she asked.
Hiei turned back around to give her a smile.
"Very dangerous actually. But I'm used to it."
Yukina walked up to her older brother and handed him a tear gem.
"You will come back to see me will you?" she asked.
Hiei took the tear gem. "I'll try." he gave her another smile and gave his sister a kiss on the forehead. His hot skin on her icy cold forehead skin gave Yukina a soft message. 'You are not alone.' And with that. Yukina saw a leaf that caught her eye. "Look Onnisan. A star-shaped leaf." she showed her brother the golden star-shaped leaf. This put a small smile on his face.
That was a long time ago. Sometimes Hiei wondered if Yukina remembered it as much as he did.
'What if Yukina totally forgot about what I promised to her?' Hiei always thought that. He shook his head.
'Did she go off and marry that damn bastard?' Now he was worried.
"Hiei!" Muruko called for her right-handed man.
Hiei turned around to see Muruko.
"What are you doing all the way out here?" she asked.
Hiei was silent for a moment. "Thinking."
"Well you sure think a lot." Muruko snickered.
"You need a bath. Come on inside." Muruko headed for her dome.
Hiei sighed. She did this to him a lot. He began to follow her. He was not really much embarrased by his nakedness to Muruko. Why hell, they've seen each other in the nude for practically 16 years. For one thing, Muruko had to take off all of his cloths whenever she ressurected him after having his arm sliced off andd severly wounded in the gut. Hiei yanked hisself from that thought. He really didn't want to think about it.
"Take off your shirt, Hiei." Muruko sat down and closed her eyes.
"Hn. What are you so ashamed about?" Hiei asked as he slit his shirt and pants off.
"What do you mean?" she askeds still not moving her eye lids.
Hiei placed hisself in the hot water and hid his body under the smoky steam.
"We've both seen each other in the nude about 70 times." He took off his bandages that hid his dragon from his arm.
"I just thought you might of thought I was very sluty." she replied.
Hiei rolled his eyes. "Hn. if I thought that then I would of had that in my head 16 years ago." he splashed water over his shoulders.
"Alright then." Muruko opened her eyes and stared at Hiei.
As the two played a couple of starrng contests Hie finally felt not right.
"Mind if I have a little privacy?!" Hiei asked coldly.
Muruko rolled her eyes, sighed, got up from her spot and left the room.
The truth was Hie was not feeling uncomfortable, he just wanted some more time on his debts. He stared down at the water. The water was so crystal clear and still that he could see his own reflection as if it were a brand new mirror. Another memory popped into his head.
"You wanted to see me here Yukina?" Hiei walked into Master Genkai's den where he saw Yukina sitting down on thefloor drinking green tea.
"Yes. Uh...have you found my brother yet?" Yukina asked as if she was dying to find out. Hiei clenched his fist very hard.
"No Yukina." he softly answered.
Yukina looked down and whiped her eyes. Then she looked up at Hiei.
"Well don't just stand there! Join me if you like!" she insisted. Hiei did not answer. Hejust sat down next to her as she handed his a cup of green tea.Hiei took the tiny cup and stared at it.
"I have not seen you for a while hiei. Where have you been?" she asked.
Hiei closed his eyes. "Training."
Yukina lifted her right eye-brow. "For this long? Don't you think Muruko-san kind of puts a lot of pressure on you with this training?" she asked. Hiei looked at Yukina.
"Not at all." he gave her a smile. "It takes a lot to get me tired." He sipped his green tea.
Yukina laughed. Hiei pulled out a tear gem from his pocket. He handed it to her.
"What's this Hiei?" she asked. Hiei looked down. "I can't take this Yukina. I...am sure you can find your brother on your own." He answered.
"You're giving up?" Yukina asked. "No!" Hiei snapped. This made Yukina jump back.
"Oh....uh....G...Gomen." Hiei paused for a second. Gomen? He had never in his life said Gomen to anyone. But he just hated it whenever someone thought he was giving up. He'd NEVER give up!
"I'm just sure that if he was born of your brother, he would be looking for you right this moment. And someday, fate will bring you two together. That is if it is destined. Which I am sure of it."
Yukina's eyes sparkled. This speech Hiei was given to her were words he have never spoken before.
'What the hell am I doing?!' Hiei's mind shouted. 'Am I saying to her to leave it all to fate? My God, that's a damned answer to my sister.'
"I can't leave it all to fate Hiei." Yukina finally said. Hiei smiled. They really are a like.
"I am thinking that too but I am certain that he will find you." he answered.
"I have lived in Makai all my life. I know how other people can be and how the world turns."
He handed the tear gem to her. Finally Yukina took it from him. No answer came from her mouth. She just smiled her sweet smile, bowed and walked out of the room.
After Hiei watched her go into the room he stared down in his reflection in his green tea.
After that, Hiei stopped lying to her about her long-lost brother. She finally figured out that he was her brother on her own. She never told him how she found out. She just said she could sense a sympathy going on between the two of them. Hiei jumped out of the bath tub and wrapped a towel around his wist. He ran his hand throught his jet spiky hair until it was close to dry.
