-- Chapter Two: Muruko's Last Challenge
Notes: Okay, the first chapter did not have anything to do with the plot that much. There is a itsy witsy bad language in this one but it is more worse that the first chapter. ^.^

Hiei gently rubbed the wet cloth over the sharp edges of his katana, smoothly cleaning it. As he watched his reflection appear by the cleaner it got he put down the cloth.

"Hiei." A female voice called out from behind. Hiei turned around. Muruko of course.
"Nanda?" He turned toward his female friend

"Shall we have a little one-on-one challenge?" she asked.

"Hn. What do you care?" Hiei snickered at her and sat down. Her challenges meant nothing to his training usually. So why bother wasting your breathe.

"If you win, I'll release you for 2 months." she said to him. Hiei paused. Released for 2 months? He thought about that for a moment. That way he could go and see Yukina. And maybe the rest of the gang. He sat up.
"Do I have your word on that?" Hiei asked. Muruko nodded.

After that, Hiei grabbed his katana. The both began to get ready for the fight. Hiei then slashed his katana at Muruko but she dodged very quickly and flew up into the air. Hiei followed her slashing at her many more. He couldn't een come close to it. Her dodges were very fast and quick. Finally, they both landed on the ground.

"Use your you-kai, Hiei." Muruko demanded. Hiei gave her an 'are you joking' look. Muruko's fist began to light up by her red re-kai energy. She ran towards Hiei and punched him hard into the gut. Hiei screamed in pain as he fell onto the ground subconcious.
Muruko stood there waiting for him to get up. Hiei finally moved his arms then stood up. There was a hole in the center of his shirt from where Muruko had punched him.

"..Bitch.." Hiei insulted her in a rather low and angry voice.

Muruko blinked. "Don't ever be afraid to attack me for no reason." she said. Hiei raised an eye-brow at her.

"Hn. Why is that?" Hiei asked as his injired gut began to heal.

"Because you are so weak and I am so strong that you could barely even scratch me." Muruko answered.

She gasped. Hiei's eyes. They were white. Solid white. She could not see his usual red color in his eyes at all. Makai flames rose up high in the sky. The bandage hiding Hiei's jagan burnt into ashes as his third eye began to glow evil red.

"What did you say to me?" Hiei demanded. He usually would not be this angry at someone who called him weak, but he has out up to long with her.

Muruko smiled. "You see? You're you-kai will rise up higher if you hade it in your head." she started to make a point to him.
"Shut up!" Hiei grabbed a gripon his katana, then dissapeared.

Muruko's body all of a sudden felt pain inside her body. She looked down at her gut and saw an end of a katana half way out of her stomach. She coughed up blood until she fell down onto the ground.

There, on the ground, she saw Hiei. Still in his same position. Only the look on his face was shocked. His eyes were back to their normal color. He dropped his katana and ran toward her.

"....Muruko..!" he held her up. Her face was all torn up. Blood and tears going down her face. As Hiei held his friend in his arms hoping she was al right, he felt a stream of blood go down his body. Not his blood. Her blood...

"H...i....e...i.." Muruko's voice sounded indeed scratchy and Hiei could barely hear it.

"Yeah?" Hiei put his face up closer to her. Muruko grabbed his shirt and pulled his ear up to her lips.

"I....." she coughed up blood. most of it landed on Hiei's ear but he didn't care.

"Yeah..?"

"I....I....love..." the words faded out of Muruko's voice. "...you....." after that word, Hiei felt her grip on his shirt loosen and her head fellout of her place. Hiei stood there looking at his dead friend. He dropped her as he got up shocked. He began to breathe deeply and looked at his body and hands. They were covered with her blood.

"I...I just...I...no...." Hiei closed his eyes very tightly.

"NNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" he picked up his friend agian. Only this time a whole lot quicker.

"WAKE UP DAMMIT!!!!! MURUKO WAKE UP!!!!!! MURUKO!!!!!!!" Hiei burst out into tears as he shook her hard. He stopped for a second.

"WAKE THE FUCK UP BITCH!!!!!!! WAKE UP!!!!! WAKE UP YOU...." He finally paused and got the clue saying she could not hear any more.

"Please don't die......." he whispered. Finally he put her down and ran away. He didn't know or cared where he was going. He just wanted to get away from this place as soon as possible. He seemed like he cared for Muruko more than anything back there. But the truth was it wasn't that he cared so much about her, it was that HE was the one who did it...and this time....there was no excuse..
