JPOP 1998 MAGZINE SECTION

Obviously I love J*Rock and J*pop (duh!), and I' m a shopping freak. I buy a lot of Japanese Magazines and here are some of the pictures from Mag like Junon, What's in, Popolo, GiGs, Cd Data, and An-An. .the section after the pix is a section where some of the things that a certain issue of Mag has (Rankings are the most common) ..well, I am gonna go away for University (at Umich in Fall'99) and I don't think I will have access to buying a lot of magzines but I still will order magzines (just not as many as I use to) 'n keep on updating. However, I am only gonna do give brief magazine contents from July 1999 on unless I get bored in my dorm or somethin'--- anyways....here are da Magazines!

The 6.12 issue of An-An haz Kimura Takuya in da cover. This issue is specalized for anan's readers' votes of the favorite/hateful guyz. The first largest pic of Takuya and da #1 in the Kimutaku section above is from this mag. (da rest is from Popeye AUG) In addition, yukata's #1 and #3 pix above is also from this mag. They all look awsome in this issue of An-An.

    moving right along to da JULY issue of JUNON! This Issue is one of ma favorite Issue of Junon. There are Awsome~one of da best looking pix of Kimutaku (eg, da 2nd and 3rd pix above), Masharu Fukuyama, Glay, Tsuyoshi of Smap, B'z and more. This issue features : Sweet Darling Ranking'98 Each Parts of the Ranking comes with very Awesome pix of the celeb..looking at their best. The individual pix of Teru, Jiro and hyde are da bomb!!! here we go again with the rankings~

    JUNON AUG: Another Awesome Issue     The pix above of Smap as a group are from this Mag. This Mag also include the Stadium performance by L'ARC, B'z and Glay. There are also Articles about Kinki Kids (something to do with battles~? not WAR battles..but ), Fukuyama Masaharu~"The REAL FACE OF HIM" 5 pages, Speed~"Always with you", Tomomi Kahala (she has a new look~curly hair and less brown-more black hair then before), a V6 guy, and TAKAO (he has the new song called "Rain" that came out). In addition, there is a SUPER STAR FILE of 1998 where in side the little booklet has most of the top Celeb's profile in Japan.     • In the little booklet section some rankings include: Most watched Drama: Under the same Roof (37.8%) came in first with LONG Vacation's Final Episode came in Third (36.7%) and (one of my fav~) Tell me you Love me final Episode (28.1%) came in sixteenth. Also, for the man Department No. 1 is Kimura Takuya, No. 2 is Takashi Sorimarchi; for the female is Namie Amuro No.1, tomoe is second and Tomomi Kahala took 3rd. While for MUSIC is Glay No.1 (oh yeah), and Smap took no.2~ (sorry don't have the time to type out the whole table now.)

  • "CD-DATA" ~Augus 3~20 has GLAY on the cover~And it is a special issue for Glay's "PURE SOUL". There is six pages on Glay-First page is a full page coloured picture of Glay standing. Then the next 4 pages-each page has a black and white (very Sexy) picture of each member. see some of the pix here Then the sixth page has 13 small black and white pix of Glay with article about what Glay thought of the songs in Pure Soul (the comments are different form the ones they gave in the July issue of What's In.) This issue comes with a DOUBLE sided poster of Glay..one side is black and white of Glay standing dressed in Suit. The other side is coloured and the page is divided into four of each member's head/shoulder
  • WHAT'S IN AUG. has TMR in the front cover, however, it also Features GLAY~~(and B'z, Luna Sea, Chisato Moritaka, Curio, Tomomi Kahala, Southern all stars, My Little Lover, Siam Shade, D-shade, Ring, Da Pump and more..)--this issue is of Teru and Hisashi's interview about what they thought of Pure Soul--they both like this album a lot--and they also talked about "I'm in love" where their friends did some of the refreshing sounds of Cheers in the backgrounds.
  • Also for Junon and Popolo September issues all have Glay's new album articles in them~(the promotion picture can be seen in my Glay page). The Sept Junon's pix of Glay is mostly Head and Shoulder pix while Popolo has full length body pix.
