Gate 12 - Villain Central

GATE 12--VILLAIN CENTRAL

This gate was created by Megane Hibiki as a tribute to the various villains of Ranma 1/2, and is the honorary home of all these baddies, you know, people like Saffron, Herb, the Kunoichi, Ryu Kumon, and Pantyhose Taro.

PHYSICAL FEATURES:

From the outside, it's imposing. A 10-foot high wall, topped with spikes, forms the outermost barrier. Projected from the spikes is a second-hand AT-Field (See Evanglion if you don't know what is is). Though it provides some protection, it is second-hand, after all, and is relatively easy to pass. Next is the moat. It's full of water that is made to look like lava through some editing of various water molecules and stuff. It's harmless, actually, though it looks real enough. A rather nodescripit bridge crosses the fake lava, leading to an island, upon which is a large building. This building is shaped rather like a traditional Japanese dojo, though much larger, and it is loaded with varied range-type weapons, providing the main defense.

On the inside, it's slightly less evil-looking. The front gates open up to large, well-lit chamber. It is a very big room, taking up most of the building, except for the bathroom, which is accessed through a door in that room.

The first thing one notices when entering this chamber is the mainframe coputer, DEMON, which was created from the remains of the infamous HAL. It takes up an entire wall. It's features include a big monitor, which has many uses, include tv-watching and spying on the other happenings of the ML through the numerous spy-cameras hidden everywhere. It also has very nice stereo surround-sound, and the computer's intelligence is capable of speech, but doesn't provide much of a conversation. It also has lots of buttons and stuff which server thousands of different purposes.

Other things in the main chamber include a large rack full of weapons, from swords to bazookas. There is a small training mat that is set up next to this rack, and has practice dummies with which to take your anger out upon. ^_^

The bathroom, which is accessed through a door as stated above, is quite normal, your typical Japanese bathroom.

However, there is a 'basement' to this place. It is accessed through a hidden set of stairs which can be activated by the press of a button. This basement has been modeled to resemble a big cavern, with waterfalls of the fake lava from the moat cascading into a stream that surrounds the walls. Within this chamber is the main controls of the weapon systems of this Gate, such as the stuff around the building, and it controls the AT-Field. Also, it is also possible to activate the Gate's most powerful feature from here. By the activating of many varied switches, the ground beneath the Gate will explode, much in the manner of a volcano, causing all of the upper-levels contents to become heated and fly around rather dangerously throughout the general vicinity of the entire UGMA complex. We all hope that we never need to use this.

RESIDENTS:

Managers:

Megane Hibiki: The owner of the gate. He usually spends his time watching anime on DEMON's monitor or spying with it as well. He's also Ryoga Hibiki's cousin, and he's got a bad sense of direction, just like the lost one of Ranma 1/2 fame.

Shampoo-clone: Created by Bradtech labs. Megane was getting tired of wandering around to get where he was going, so he had Shampoo-clone created to guide him. Made to look and think exactly like the original Shampoo would, only without the love for Ranma. She is currently training herself with each and every one of the weapons that can be found here.

Ranma 1/2 Villains who Live Here:

Pantyhose Taro: Paid a visit to Megane one day at his old home, adding a bit of interest to the events that day. Initially didn't like Megane, but decided to stick around, and ever since they have developed a friendship. He now enjoys messing around with DEMON in various ways.

Saffron: The famed Lord of Mt. Phoenix. Since he was turned back into an baby during that ordeal, he was raised to be slightly less tempermental by Kiima and company, though he has developed pyromaniacal tendencies, though nothing too extreme. At this time he is around fourteen years old, though is more intelligent than the average teenager, and he is quite arrogant. He was fighting with Taro the day they crashed into Megane's old place, and has also decided to stick around, to freeload if anything else. He and Megane couldn't exactly be called 'friends', but they don't hate each other, either, and get along well enough. However, he enjoys taunting Taro all the time, which usually causes fights. He often hangs out in the basement area, scheming, developing new techniques involving fire, and things like that. He also takes care of all the defense mechanisms.

Sentient Inanimate Objects:

DEMON: The computer. As stated above, it was created from the remains of the famous HAL from 2001: A Space Odessey. It still retains the same malevolence, but is usually obedient, as long as you don't try to shut it off. This mainframe provides all of the gate's electronical power.

Audrey III: Named after the plant from the musical play/movie 'Little Shop of Horrors'. It was grown from some 'Angel of Darkness Plant Fertilizer' that Megane bought from Holly-chan during an EoE fund-raising campaign. It sits next to the outer gates, waiting to harass those who wish to bring harm to Gate 12. Thankfully, it doesn't have the strange and rather grotesque diet of it's namesake, and can live off of regular sunlight, water, and *normal* plant food, though it requires an occasional few pounds of beef or something to keep it happy. It talks in ebonics.
