Gate 17: CabbitSpaceTM. Central

Cabbits! To fully understand the history and purpose of Gate 17, we must first understand the background of the entity known as SRanmaJ.

To begin, my name is Saotome Ranma/Jacob (my mother had something of a fondness for gaijin names). I am known to my friends (and enemies) as SRanmaJ. I was born in Nerima, Japan in an alternate universe. At the age of about six, my father and I set off on what were to become various training expeditions. We had been gone for approximately eight years, when, while traveling in China, we became separated. At the time, I decided that I should continue my training, which I did for another three years. At the end of these three years, I came across the legendary cursed training ground of Jusenkyou.

I trained at Jusenkyou for about a year, and as I was leaving, having finally decided to search for a way home, I tripped over a small animal, which caused me to fall into one of the many springs that make up Jusenkyou. When I resurfaced, I sensed that something was wrong. I pulled myself out of the water and found myself looking eye to eye with the strange creature I had tripped over. It was very curious, looking like a cross between a cat and a rabbit. It was, as I later discovered, the offspring of the (in) famous Ryo-Ohki.

The Guide at Jusenkyou, having witnessed the entire incident, took both the strange creature and myself to his abode. It was at this point that I realized I had been cursed. The Guide told me the tale of Cabbitniichuan, the tale of a cabbit that had drowned there some 1700 years before. It was at his abode that I dubbed the cabbit Ryo-Ohki-clone (known affectionately as Ryo-clone or Ryo-chan) though she is not a clone in the true sense of the word.

Sometime later, with Ryo-clone as a traveling companion, I continued to wander through the wilderness of China, searching for a way to return home. After 2 months of traveling, I suddenly came upon what looked to be a dimensional portal of some sort. Ryo-clone immediately bounded into it, so I followed. It turned out that I had subconsciously created the portal, which was a "door" to CabbitSpaceTM.. I traveled through this dimension in the hopes that I could get to my home through it. However, as I yet had no true control over my powers, I missed the town in which I lived, and found myself in a place known as the "Ranma MLverse". I later found many factions in this universe, and quickly joined several, one of which was the UGMA of Insane-kun.

After many hours filling out the necessary paperwork, I was granted the privilege of Gate ownership. I chose as my gate Gate 17, chosen for the number of "Angels" in an anime series known as "Evangelion". I set up Gate 17 as CabbitSpaceTM. Central, where I could further my powers as a Master of CabbitSpace and a Keeper of Cabbits. Also being a member of the KTF, I designed Gate 17 to be an exact replica of the Tendou residence, and designated the dojo area as the KTF training Hall.

Gate 17 is located in a clearing of what seems to be a forest of cherry trees. There is a small stream that passes directly in front of the Gate to the inner area of Gate 17. The Gate itself is a polished cherrywood torii, and it stands at the end of a bridge across the stream and at the beginning of a long winding path through the cherry trees to the front door of the building itself. There are several defensive layers located in succeeding distances from the building, with the first line of defense beginning at the torii and the final layer ending at the front door. As far as anyone can tell, there are no visible components to these defense mechanisms (In actuality, they are cleverly concealed within CabbitSpaceTM. pockets, and accessible only to those with access to CabbitSpaceTM. itself).

Moving to the Tendou house, just beneath the surface of the koi pond there is a CabbitSpaceTM. portal, that when the correct command is given, will gate the person giving the command into the Combat Center which lies below the residence, where all actual battle matters are taken care of. From the combat center, there is only one door, which leads to the heart of Gate 17. Through this door reside the main banks of the SAOTOME AI system, as well as the power conduit to the heart of CabbitSpaceTM., which is what powers Gate 17, as well as being where SRanmaJ derives his powers from. The actual power source is the life energy of Cabbits, no matter where they are. Every Cabbit has ties to CabbitSpaceTM., and thus supplies Gate 17 with some small amount of energy. There is also a reserve bank located deep in CabbitSpaceTM. that stores the life energy of a Cabbit should it ever die or be killed (One of the defense systems harnesses this power only--classified).

The interior of the house is where the day to day business of Gate 17 takes place. In the common room (just off of the kitchen) is the command center, with all data consoles under sliding panels in the table and the walls. This is also where the meals are given, and where guests are received (this is why the panels can slide away). Everything except combat can be handled from this room, though all functions can be controlled from the combat center. Upstairs are the staff bedrooms, and of course, the bathroom on the ground floor has its obvious uses...

In the yard behind the residence (which as with the actual residence is accessible through the common room) next to the pond there is quite a large carrot garden.

Staff (as of this point in time):

SRanmaJ:
Already described, brandishes an unconscious cabbit when fighting hand to hand. Turns into a black cabbit (SRJ-chan) when doused with cold water. Inventor of the Cabbit Accelerator GunTM..

Ryo-Ohki-clone:
Also described above, has all abilities of her parent. Ship form is modified to be able to dock with the Heavy Ship-Mounted Cabbit Accelerator GunTM..

Akane-CHAN:
A highly advanced prototype android designed by Kyuusaku Natsume (APC Cat Girl Nuku Nuku) and produced by Mishima Heavy Industries. Built with Akane-sama in mind, she has all the traits of the original Akane, with the exceptions that she has Kasumi's talent for cooking, is slightly more kawaii than the original, but she has a hair-trigger temper (even more so than the original). Her designation, CHAN, is what distinguishes her from the true Akane and any Akane clones. It stands for Cute Humanoid Approximating Neutralizer, being the prototype of Mishima's Neutralizer series. To date it is unknown as to what all of her abilities are, as it seems no scan is able to penetrate the dermal layer. There does, however, appear to some field just below the dermal layer that is thwarting the scans. Thus far it is known that she can withstand a direct blast from the Cabbit Accelerator GunTM., and she has an uncanny ability for weapons design. In hand to hand combat she wields a variant on the unconscious cabbit, and this variant has the interesting effect of activating Jusenkyou curses with one or two swings, or even temporarily giving the defender the curse of Cabbitniichuan after four or five swings (It is a weapon of her own design). She was bought at great expense by SRanmaJ (he is almost completely broke) and arrived, with no escort, at Gate 17 a day early, wreaking havoc with the defense systems, which she easily bypassed.SAOTOME:
The AI system for Gate 17. Constructed by Dr. Ritsuko Akagi of NERV, the daughter or the creator of MAGI. Originally constructed as a secondary system after MAGI was invaded, but was discarded when MAGI proved able to defeat the strongest intruder.

NOTE:
Though both SRanmaJ and Akane-CHAN wield unconscious cabbits in battle, the cabbits are NOT harmed. They are treated with all care that can be given an unconscious cabbit, even to making sure that they get their daily quota of nutrition in the form of liquefied carrots administered intravenously. This also has the effect of making their bodies much stronger and more rigid, thereby causing more damage when striking.
