Waterfront Place is the 2nd tallest building in Queensland.  Designed by Cameron Chisholm and Nicol architects, it was completed in 1988.  It exploits the riverfront location to the full.

The floors have an area of 1870 square metres, which is quite huge for a building of this height.  This is the last of the tall glass towers built along the Eagle St precinct.

At the base of Waterfront Place is Naldham House (1885) and is a fine example of incorporating historic buildings into new developments.  Naldham House, on one of its corners, has plates marking the height of flood waters over the centuries.  The highest is the flood of 1893 and it is about two metres above the ground.  Don't bother about taking the horse and sulky out that day, try the boat.
