AMP
Place was built in 1978 and is 135 metres tall. Many consider this
tower as Brisbane's first landmark skyscraper as it stood out in stark
contrast to the other smaller skyscrapers and was the first modernist "glass
box" to be built in Brisbane. By Peddle Thorp and Harvey, the building
sits well in the triangular site. It is known colloquially as the
Gold Tower. I wonder why...
