CP1 is the tallest building in Brisbane and Queensland.  Designed by world famous architect, Dr Kisho Kurokawa in conjunction with Peddle Thorp and Harvey architects,  he drew on the "Split Crystal" shape for the exterior and the foyer design is inspired from a combination of chess and the ancient oriental game of "Go."  Average floor area is 1100 square metres in CP1 and CP2 is 1460 square metres.

The roof of CP1 forms a prism which incorporates a $1.4 million dollar Building Maintenance Unit.  It is the only kind in the world that swivels out to reveal a 24 metre crane and 3.4m extension jib that can be manoeuvred to any position on the facade.  The crane can lift 5m and turn a 359 degree circle.  Everyone in the city knows when it's window cleaning day.  Ah, it's window cleaning day today.
