About the Ranma ML

The Ranma ML, or Ranma Mailing List, was created and founded in early 1995 by Hitoshi Doi, who runs several other Mailing Lists. Until the middle of 1996, the Mailing List ran in a separate mail format, with each mail coming through separately. At this time, the list changed formats, switching to a digest type mode whereupon all the mails are gathered and sent out every hour in one mail.

The purpose of the Ranma ML is the creation of a discussion forum for Rumiko Takahashi's Ranma 1/2. The usual practice on the Ranma ML involves bringing up certain topics about anything in the series, and having certain people field responses to that question or comment. Of course, the list also serves as a way to bring people together from many different ethnic backgrounds and diversities with one thing in common - a love for Ranma 1/2. Additionally, the list can also serve as a highly reliable source of information on fan outlook on the series and factual info for those who are completely new to the series, or even Anime and Manga in general. Collectively, the members of the Ranma ML have a wealth of information that is hardly found on any of the Webpages on the Internet today.

The ML continues on as members leave and arrive, and we're always looking for someone new to contribute to the discussion.
