Welcome to Tommy's Corner

My name is Tommy Butt and this is my little virtual home. This page was constructed in March 1997 and has been constantly updated ever since. At the moment this homepage contains a personal profile of myself, and a growing collection of my favourite links. If you are lucky enough not to be given the photo-less version of this homepage, there is also a photo gallery featuring myself and the interesting people who have played an important part in my life. :)

This homepage will continue to improve and regularly updated. You are welcome to send constructive feedback via e-mail or by signing my guestbook.

Quick Introduction

Just a little background about myself. I was born in Hong Kong. My family and I moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1988, which has been my home ever since.

After spending 5 years doing a combined course of Science/Engineering at the University of Melbourne , Australia, the long awaited graduation ceremony was held on the 7th April 2001. It was both a happy feeling and a relieve to have finished my degree, on time and within budget, but it also marked the beginning of my full-time working life.

Currently I am employed by the  National Australia Bank and have been involved with the National's CRM Siebel project since May of 2001. However, this homepage is the work of Tommy K Butt the individual only and by no means a reflection of the level of expertise of the National Australia Bank and its associated groups.

* More about myself.

* A gallery of myself and my friends.

Marvellous Melbourne

Melbourne is a city of 3 million people. Located near the southern tip of the Australia mainland, this cosmopolitan city is often referred to as the capital of Australian culture, arts and sports.

Melbourne blossomed during the Gold Rushes of the 1850s, when large number of miners and immigrants, including thousands of Chinese, settled in the city. The city served briefly as the capital of Australia between 1901 and 1927, while Canberra was being built.

The people of this marvellous city is famous for their religioius obsession with their Aussie rules football. Melbourne is the home of the famous Melbourne Cup horse racing carnival, which is held on the first Tuesday of November each year. This city has also hosted the Olympic Games in 1956 - 44 years before Sydney finally gets a chance to host their own!!
