 Sana Kurata is an 11 year old happy girl who is very hyper. She is in a constant fight with Hayama for control of the classroom. Sana is never very serious about much stuff. But sometimes it is just an act to cover up how she really feels. She is liked by almost everyone in and out of class. She is very up front about her feelings, telling people how she feels about them and other stuff. This sometimes gets her into a lot of trouble. When she is feeling very emotional she likes to make up songs, it usually covers something that happened recently. She does good stuff and doesn't even realise that she does it. When she helps people she doesn't expect anything in return, she just wants them to be as happy as she is. Her world is turned upside down but with Hayama's help she deals with the situation and returns to her normal self. |
 Akito Hayama is a very sullen boy. He has had an unhappy childhood because his mother died giving birth to him. His sister blamed him for it and called him a devil child. His father worked too much and was never around. At first he was the boss monkey of the group of boys at school but later became a a lone wolf after he stopped that. Thanks to Sana he becomes friends with her, gets his family back together and things start to look up. Hayama doesn't like to show emotions or admit to liking stuff but he becomes more outgoing and happy thanks to Sana. The only other person that knows a lot about him is Tsuyoshi who can be described as his best friend. Although Hayama is generally nice (usually) he does have his bad moments when he does stuff to Sana like checking for a bra. He expresses himself a little strangly. When he loves something he says he doesn't hate it. These are emotions he feels about sushi and Sana. Hayama will stick up for his friends and always be there for them. He thinks he will always demand a price but it isn't true he just doesn't realise it. |
 Tsuyoshi at first seems like the typical shoujo nerd. The one that has a crush on the main character and everyone makes fun of him. However Tsuyoshi is in no way typical. Although he seems like a pushover he has inherited his father's temper. When someone makes fun of his mother he blows his top and beats them up. The only one that seems to be able to control him is Hayama. Tsuyoshi had a crush on Sana because the year before she had given him chocolates for valentine's day. While he remains friends easily he has a weak spot for food and later transfers his affections to another girl. Tsuyoshi goes through a range of emotions and you never quite know what's going to happen with him. He has had a difficult time but he knows that he can rely on his friends and people will always be there for him. |
 Rei was found by Sana, homeless. Due to a chain of events he found himself on the street. Because of Sana's giving nature and her natural happiness he feels greatful and protective of her and doesn't want her to get hurt. He pretends to be her boyfriend because it would hurt her too much to tell her it was impossible. He is still in love with his old girlfriend but he will always be there for Sana and he would protect her no matter what. He can also be a little over protective but that's part of his charm. |
 Naozumi is another child actor like Sana. He was left at an orphanage when he was very small and has worked himself up to be famous because he was greatful for them taking care of him. He is of mixed ethnic background and is a pretty boy. He has a crush on Sana and has followed her career and home life for a long time. He was surprised to find out that she was good friends with Hayama and tries to deter him from being with her. He is also unconventional since when he gets emotional about something he has to play his trumpet. He feels connected with Sana and is fighting with Hayama for her affections. He believes in patience and waiting for the right time. He also will do stuff to help others like announcing his past to keep them from critizing Sana so much. |
 Sana's mother found out when she was younger that she had a 5% chance of having a child. She decided instead of being ordinary she would be extraordinary. She went out and changed her hairstyle to the first of weird styles. It seems the only one who understands her is Sana and together they have had many fun moments. She is a good mother who wants her daughter to be happy and is pleased with the way she is turning out. On her head is usually a squirrel called Maro-chan. Maro-chan is very clean (usually) and also really cute. Maro gets to play with Sana's mother's hair which includes themeparks, spaceships and more. |
 Mr. Hayama is Akito Hayama's father. After his wife died in child birth he worked really hard and hardly ever saw his children, allowing things at home to go bad. When Sana makes him see the error of his ways he starts to spend more time with his children. It seems that even though he is away from them a lot he still knows them well. After his ulcer acts up and scares his children he has to take it easy from work and gets to spend more time with his children. Although he is a little upset since Sana says she will bring her husband home with her, that means he will be all alone. |
 Babbit is a white bat that appears since the beginning Babbit's purpose is to provide information and comic humor of a different sort throughout the show. The characters on the show usually find Babbit a nusaince and hit it with a hammer, since Babbit is usually making comments or telling them what they should be doing. |
