Reported on my Toonami site, Sailor Moon is getting her
time to shine again on the Cartoon Network. On Sunday, May 23rd,
starting at 11:30 AM, Cartoon Network will be airing a Sailor Moon marathon
which they are at the moment calling 'Lunar Eclipse.' This will be
a marathon of all 17 'Lost Episodes,' also known as the last 17 episodes
of the Sailor Moon R series, shown back to back. To confirm this,
you can visit Cartoon
Network's Toonami site. So get your VCR's ready, stockpile some
eats, cause it's time to party.

I tried the petition, just to pass
the time, knowing that the Save Our Scouts Headquarters was planning on
doing something, and sure enough, they did. The time of waiting is
over and now the fans need to help their pretty suited soldiers make it
across the ocean to North America. SOS was waiting to see if any
deals were being made to have Sailor Moon Supers, the third season of Pretty
Soldier Sailor Moon, translated for a North American audience. A
few deals fell through and now it's our turn. The SOS has worked
out a plan for you, the fan, to tell the three most important people to
Sailor Moon right now that we want to see more episodes translated and
shown on our shores. Take the link to the Save Our Scouts Headquarters
to find out who to write to. Make Sailor Moon S happen.

Okay,
her name is Kallie (which means rabbit, and in Japanese, rabbit is Usagi,
and in America, Usagi is Serena) but she's also know as Serena. She
might have been the first ever Sailor Moon fan in North America.
Why do I say this? Well, check out the picture. This was a
picture of Kallie when she was only about 1 or 2. Now she's a bit
older than pictured here, but notice how her hair is done up??? That's
right, those are odango's, Serena's signature hair style. Could it
be that she is really the Sailor Moon we all know and love??? Well, I'll
keep y'all posted on this one. For now, marvel at the meatballs ^_^

I
have no idea how many sites/people out there have already started this
in some form or another, but I though it would be cool for me to start
this also. The number of Sailor Moon episodes that have made it over
to North America... 82. This is out of a possible 200 episodes, and
all indications have been made that the third season, Sailor Moon Supers,
was possibly the best of all five of the Sailor Moon series. I don't
know about you, but I'm not ready to play dead after getting to see these
totally awesome new 17 that end the Sailor Moon Romance Series. That's
why I've started a petition to bring more episodes over into North America.
I normally would have let the SOS take care of this, but I'm tired of waiting.
I plan that after a good number of petitioners have signed, then I will
go ahead and send a list to all the responsible parties, and maybe acouple
to DiC to let them know we don't appreciate their lack of enthusiasm on
the series. Of course, this is all just stuff that is spur of the
moment, so expect some changes along the way. The point is that the
fans of Sailor Moon have the chance to unite and let everyone know what
we want. Join the party and email me, Blkcloak.
NOTE: THE PETITION HAS
BEEN CLOSED DUE TO SOS HQ INTERACTION IN THE MATTER

SAILOR MOON IS A COVER GIRL... FOR ANIMERICA MAGAZINE
I
think I'm posting this news before the SOS does. Sailor Moon, who

Here's what the issue entails:
Sailor Moon (in her Sailor
Moon Sailor Stars uniform, I think) on the cover
A look into how Sailor
Moon has paved the way for anime and manga in Norht America

Moon Super S and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars series
A spoiler for the aforementioned
two series
A look at some of the characters
of the two series
An ariticle dedicated to
the shows creator, Naoko Takeuchi
Don't you want to just go
out and get this magazine all or a sudden?!? Check out Animerica

SOS'ERS KNOW THIS, BUT THIS IS STILL WORTH OF A SPOT HERE
SOS Headquarters is the one who posted this information. Since there might be some people who come here through my Toonami site or elsewhere, I'll want all to know that this is a prime time to write to the creator of Sailor Moon, Naoko Takeuchi. I've been searching for her mailing address since I started watching Sailor Moon and now, with the thanxs of SOS, I've got it.
From now until the end of the year, you have the opportunity to write to Ms. Takeuchi. Let her know what you think of her work, what you think of her, etc.. There are some things you should read up on first, since it would be bad form to send her hate mail. So go over to the SOS site, they have a like-tutorial for you. Just check the links section of my page to get to the SOS. Anyway, here's the address you can write to (with the right amount of postage attached):
SOS - Naoko Takeuchi

POLL
- POLL - POLL - POLL - POLL - POLL - POLL - POLL
(AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
NOT ANOTHER ONE!!!!)
Ha ha!!! I finally
got some responce to my poll!!! Check 'em out.
I'd like to know what
your favorite five scenes from "Sailor Moon" are. This means no restrictions.
It can be from the dubbed NA version or from the original Japanese versions.
It can be from the first season of "Sailor Moon" all the way to the "Sailor
Moon Super S Movie." Just let me know, because Sailor Moon has treated
us to some incredible anime sequences.
1.
The battle sequence in "Naughty 'N Nice" between Rubeus, Sailor Moon, and
Tuxedo Mask. You have to see it to believe it
2.
Nephlite's death in "A Friend in Wolf's Clothing" Another one you must
see to understand
3.
The final battle between Princess Serena and Queen Beryl in "Day of Destiny."
This is what truly got me hooked for good on Sailor Moon. The music,
the effects, just... magnifique.
4.
The scene where Sailor Moon gives Darien his memory back with the power
of the Star Locket in "Day of Destiny"
5.
Who could possibly now have been awed by the scene in "Nightmare in Dreamland"
when the Dream Dollie made her appearance, with her head spinning out of
her body and this wickedly deformed music box tune coming from her?
Sweet!
What are your favorite scenes.
E-mail me and let EVERYONE know
raman
ratnasami - 10.22.98 (just a favorite scene, but acceptable never-the-less)
From "A Crystal Clear Destiny"
- I like the scene where Darien finally finds out that Serena is
Sailormoon in the elevator
when they were trapped.
CMS/Tuxedo
Kamen - 10.23.98
1.
"A Crystal Clear Destiny"--Mamoru's memory loss, Usagi's transformation
in front of Mamoru, everything was perfect! I get chills every time
Tuxedo Kamen is wounded and "My Only Love" starts playing. Beautiful!
2.
"Naughty 'n Nice"--Despite the dopey title, this is one of the most godly
episodes ever! The insanely good lighting and special effects and
the great song really make this episode tops!
3.
"A Friend in Wolf's Clothing"--The sixth SM episode I ever saw. I
practically cried at Nephrite's death, and that rarely happens! What
tragedy!
4.
"Go and Beat Up Rubeus! A Deadly Battle in Space" (Japanese title)--This
R episode was superb! Really great (Japanese) music when Usagi refuses
to be defeated and rechallenges Rubeus!
5.
"Tuxedo Umino/Melvin"--Because it made me laugh.
Super
Sailor Moonie - 10.31.98
1.
My number one favorite scene would probably be the scene at the end of
the Sailor Moon R movie. Man, with Moon Revenge pumping in the background
and with that meteor about to hit the earth, that scene is just plain SWEET!
2.
My number two favorite scene is the battle with Queen Metallia scene. Yet
again, SWEET!
3.
No. 3? Err.... I think that would be the scene in Sailor Moon S (Episode
92) where Usagi repeats everything Minako says and they try to find out
Haruka's relationship with Michiru. (They don't know about Haruka's secret...)
4.
This scene makes me almost wet my pants, it's so hilarious! This is another
scene in Episode 92. It's when Ami, Rei, Makoto, Minako, and Usagi find
out that Haruka is a boy! (!)
5.Yeah
yeah yeah.... I gotta jam the Crystal Clear Destiny scene in here too.
So sue me. :)

MIXX
DELIVERS... BUT IS IT WHAT THE FANS WANTED?
Mixx'zine issue 2-2
has come out. Some fans who have been living in caves (just kidding)
have noticed something missing from the manga lineup. No Sailor Moon.
Yeah, this has been an issue that has bombarded Mixx officials for the
last few month. The removal of Sailor Moon was done for a number
of reasons. One, to make room for their newest addition to the Mixx,
Mobile Suit Gundam: Blue Destiny. Sailor Moon was also removed so
she could take her place in a new concept that the makers of Mixx have
had. It's a female oriented mag which is geared towards the modern
day digital teen. Until then, Sailor Moon will appear in her own
48 page comic, the first being presently available at your comic store.
It's true, Mixx has
done a horrible job handeling the whole situation since the rumors became
truth that Sailor Moon would be moving. I think it's pretty obvious
that much of the reason that Mixx was even successful was because they
had Sailor Moon as their star. Now they are hoping that she will
help promote their next venture, which will be titled "Smile." I
still support Mixx. They just made a mistake in their young market
age. I can understand some of the explanations that Stu Levy even
gave, which are posted in Mixx Online. It's unfortunate that even
though some of his actions are justified, he probably stained alot of his
fanbase. We'll see what happens in the months to come. In the
meantime, pick up the Sailor Moon comic. I found it especially interesting
this month. Also, check out Mixx Online. Even though a hacker
broke in some time ago (bad Sailor Moon fan, bad), it's still worth checking
up on.

The
new 17 episodes of Sailor Moon R set to air on Cartoon Network November
30th
Cartoon
Network has announced through the SOS Headquarters that the 17 new episodes
of Sailor Moon will air beginning Monday, November 30th. What's that
mean? Well, many of you veterans know that the Sailor Moon R series
(with Rubeus and the Wiseman) never really ended here in North America.
For all the Newbies (and that includes me) there was the battle with Rubeus,
but then nothing. No explaination on Reeny, or what the war on Crystal
Tokyo was, or any of that stuff. That was how DiC ended the series
in 1995. With all the pressure of producing more dub's, DiC finally
decided to bring over the final episoded to the Sailor R series, hence,
the new 17 episode in North America. It took 3 years to get those
17 episodes. Will it be worth it, being that it is DiC, aka the Butchers,
that will be dubbing it?
^_^
I'm so happy!!!

Serena
wins the TEEN PEOPLE poll for September '98
Teen People polls are closed. You probably won't believe me, but... She took control of the poll about mid-month after an up - and - down battle with 'N Sync for the top spot. Now, I wouldn't celebrate until Serena actually appears on an actual cover of Teen People. Until then, it's just an opinion poll in which, at the moment, our girl Serena shone bright and true. Way to go, girl. And a thanxs to all the 'Moon' fans who voted.

September Poll Standings (Final Standings)
(as of 12:00 AM ET on
Tuesday, September 22nd, 1998)
