Serena Tsukino / Sailor Moon / Moon Princess

Meatball head, Serena the Hyena, crybaby.  How can you not love her?

Introducing the very beautiful, but multi-faulted Serena.  Serena Tsukino, like said before, is probably one of the most kind-hearted and most caring person on the face of the planet, but she does suffer from a common ailment.  It is what we all know as life.  She's a whiner, crying at almost anything that challenges her train of thought.  Her attention span is probably less than that of the common household pet.  School is not one of her strongest points, always getting to class late, failing test after test, and sleeping in the middle of her classes.  But, she's always got a smile on her face (except when she's stuffing food into it).  Serena, always lives for the present, taking everything as it comes.  She is so much more mature that anyone can possibly realize. Understand that she literally has the weight of the world resting on her 15 year old shoulders.  Even with that kind of pressure, she still lives life as if she wasn't Sailor Moon or the Moon Princess.

That's right, the Moon Princess.  The future ruler of the Moon Kingdom.  'How can this be possible?' you might be wondering.  True, her level of commitment might be questionable, and so might her intelligence and spirit.  However, when faced with serious circumstances, such as the endangerment of her friends, Serena's abilities seem to come into focus.  She becomes a benevolent figure, having the level of confidence given a royal member of the Moon Kingdom.
All of these traits of Serena are what make her character so lovable, so identifiable, and so real.  Serena represents about 90 percent of the worlds population, with the ability to rise above adversity when she faces it.  Sure, she's a super heroine on the side, but when did that ever stop her from having any fun?

 Raye Hino / Sailor Mars

Just a few vital stats

Raye Hino, a shinto priestess, caretaker (or one of) of the Cherry Hill's Temple, sailor soldier of the planet Mars. That's a heavy load for a 14 year old girl to seemingly handle. However, Raye does seem to amaze and astound many people. She is the part of the Sailor Scouts that seems best for logic. Yeah, she may look exotic, and maybe she is a priestess, but she houses a very calm and composed personality. I guess you could say that besides Amy, she is the level-headed person in the group. Raye is also the spiritual leader, using her powers of the fire to aid her and the Scouts whenever it is necessary.

Now, Raye has an excellent relationship with her friends, but you see Serena and her, and their almost always arguing. One would even go as far to think that they were almost enemies. Looks, however, are deceiving. If you sat down and really gave it some though, wouldn't Serena and Raye actually be behaving like they were sisters? Well, that's how close their friendship is. Raye seems to understand her role in the whole "Sailor Scout destiny" bit, that she is a sworn protector of the Moon Princess, but their friendship goes beyond that. She acts as Serenas 'older sister,' caring for her, helping her, and especially watching out for her. A friendship like that is very hard to come by (heck, it's almost as hard to find).

 Amy Mizuno/ Sailor Mercury

Personally, Amy is my favorite.

What is it like to be Amy?  Well that probably depends on when you ask her, before or after she became a Sailor Scout.  Amy is far and away the brains of the Scouts, with her astounding IQ level of 300 points.  But as society goes, those who are different are looked down upon, and being a 'brain child' is one of the cruelest labels to be stuck with.  That's what happened to Amy.  This is unfortunate, because she hold a heart of pure gold.  Her ability to care for others is probably one of her strongest points besides her intelligence.  Maybe that's why she want's to become a doctor.  With a personality like this, you would think her to be a bit more popular.

Transferring to Crossroads Junior High school was probably one of the best things to happen in her life.  That is where she meet Serena and became Sailor Mercury.  With a friend there for her and new found powers, Amy's self-esteem seemed to increase ten-fold.  She was no longer as self reserved (ya' know, kept to herself).  Her friends give her strength, and that is one of the greatest feelings in the world.

 Lita Makoto/ Sailor Jupiter

Some of her stats:

Lita. What is there not to say about her? Well, I have to start somewhere. Lita is the athlete of the Sailor Scouts. She's a great cook as well (a talent most of her friends have really yet to grasp). There's a saying in my family, "We will never go hungry." Men and women alike, we all know how to cook just about everything, and so apparently does Lita. One of Lita's other...ahem, talents would be along the lines of her aggressiveness. She is one who would act first and ask questions later. That's not to say she's not smart. It's just that she is more aggressive than the other Scouts. At heart, though, she is a very kind and caring person, always willing to sacrifice for her friends happiness. Just look at how she's helping Serena most of the time, especially when it comes to when Serena forgets to bring her lunch to school.

Lita also has the honor of being the Sailor Soldier of the planet Jupiter. Hmmm, maybe this would help explain her behavior. She wields the great power of electricity, or more specifically, thunder and lightning. Like the scouts before her, her sworn duty, actually her destiny, is to help in protecting the Moon Princess. However, Lita seems to have her own problems in real life that kind of double her workload. For one, she has the extreme hang-up on her old boyfriend. Sure, she and Serena are the ones who get a crush a second, but the Lita, every boy "looks like my old boyfriend." Her behavior, even though she is usually kind, can turn in an instant. One of the reasons she even attends Crossroads is because of the fights she got into with other students at her old school. Ah, well. Just remember to keep on her good side.

 Mina Aino/ Sailor Venus

She is the champion of Justice...or at least one of them.

Mina is an interesting person in so many ways.  She, like the other Scouts, has a heart as pure as gold, the body of a super model, and the personality of a movie star (that's not a bad thing).  Mina Aino, before joining Serena and the Sailor Scouts, was also known in Britain as 'the Champion of Justice,' Sailor V.  Her destiny brought her to Tokyo, where she found that she was the Soldier of the planed Venus.  Because of the time she spent upholding justice, she seems to be a more able leader that Serena could ever be, but she accepts what was destined for her and goes on like she had been a Scout the entire time.  Much like Serena, she always has a smile on her face.  In fact, very little upsets her.  When her friends are threatened, however, her personality changes, and she once again fights to protect. I would venture to say that is the mentality of most super heroes, but once again, you must remember that Mina is only 15.  She lives the life of any other girl, but at the same time protects the world.
