Darien Chiba / Tuxedo Mask / Moonlight Night

Forget it  ladies. This guy is already taken.

What is it that makes Darien so irresistable?  It's not his personallity, which is that of someone with a stone cold heart.  However, it's what he does, not what he says, that makes him quite the ladies man.  First of all, five - of - five Scouts agree, Darien/Tuxedo is a major babe.  His caring eyes, his strong body, his... ahem, well, you get the idea.  Besides, once he gets to know you (trust me, it's not the other way around) he tends to lighten up and becomes a totally different person.  Then there's his taste in clothes.  It's not often that a person goes around walking in a stuffy tuxedo, and that's when he's Darien.  Maybe one of his strongest traits is his incredible strength in both will and compasion.

Something you have to understand about Darien is that he lost his parents and his (Earth) memory when he was six years old. This could help to explain why he is so cold to some people, but for reasons even he couldn't understand at first, Tuxedo Mask would help those in trouble, and that usually turned out to be Sailor Moon.  It's revealed sometime later that he was the Prince of Earth in his life in the Moon Kingdom, and he was involved with the Moon Princess, Serena.  This probably explains his level of commitment to protecting Sailor Moon.  Then there was the point in time when Queen Beryl had brainwashed Prince Darien into working for the Negaverse.  Even under such influence, Darien could not forget what he was all about, all the good power that he possesed.
Let's not forget what happened after the final battle with Queen Beryl.  With Dariens' memory wiped clean of his stint as Tuxedo Mask, he was no longer able to physically protect his true love.  But the Moonlight Knight, an embodiment of everything that was strong and pure in Darien, was created to protect Serena in his stead.  So, Darien is a great person to know, you've just got to scratch the surface.

Luna and Artemis
Aww...what cute kitties.  Hey, wait a minute!  Stop scratchin' my face!?

Queen Serenity's' trusted advisors.  Thing is, they're cats.  Well, it is the Sailor Moon universe, and besides, who's to say that somewhere out there, there aren't aliens that look like cats (or something ?_?).  Enough of that.  More on the cats.  Luna and Artemis, being the advisors of the Queen of the Moon Kingdom, weren't as much involved in the battle with the Negaverse, so they survived.  In that I mean they were not reincarnated, just put into suspended animation so that when the Negaverse started to show signs of power once again, the two advisors would emerge from their capsules and help to reawaken the Sailor Scouts and the Moon Princess.  Confused yet?  Well, maybe I should go into the individual profiles then.  (And forgive me if the profiles turn out sketchy.  I don't know much about them other than what is said, and that's not much.)

I'll start with Luna, since she appeared in the series first.  Luna seems to have been the one with the higher rank, since she obviously shows better leadership and judgment that does Artemis (sorry Artemis).  She has the thankless job of trying to get Serena to accept her role as the Scout of the Moon and as the Moon Princess.  You can't help but to feel sorry for her now and then, but Luna has a very strong spirit and continues to stick with Serena.  What more can I say, very little of Luna's past is revealed in the episodes shown in America thus far.

Now let's try the story of Artemis.  Artemis did find one of the Scouts when re-animated.  Unlike Luna, he had it easier because it was Mina he found.  Through proper training, Mina became Sailor V, a super heroine in her own right.  When the pair found the other four Scouts, Sailor V stepped back and took her role as Sailor Venus (at least in the anime version).  He seems to me to be a bit more of a goof off, taking after Serena in some very small way.  However, when needed, Artemis becomes as good a leader as Luna does.  He very intelligent, witty, and is a true friend.

Serena (Reeny) Tsukino / Moon Princess

This is not a typo... Let me explain.

We North Americans know her as Reeny.  In truth, this little pink tailed girl is named Serena.  That's right, the same Serena that is aka Sailor Moon.  How could this be?  The new 17 episodes helped explain that, but first, alittle about her.  Reeny is, in the opinion of Serena, a brat, but that does not hold true.  Sure, she is a bit hard to handle at times and she does act alittle more mature than other kids her age, but that is part of her charm.  She is a dear-hearted, high spirited little girl who is unfortunately forced to grow up way too fast.  Those around her hold the highest respect for her, not taking her friendship for granted.  She is much like Mina, where just her presence is almost enough to lift anyone's spirits.  Her past, however, is what makes her even more unique.

Reeny is actually in hiding from the forces of the dark moon, but they come from the future.  Yep, Reeny is from the future, from a rebuilt Moon Kingdom city named Crystal Tokyo, the capital of the Moon Kingdom.  She is the daughter, and therefore, the princess, of the Moon Kingdoms' ruler, Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion.  Serenity is the future Serena Tsukino, our current Sailor Moon and Endymion is the future Darien Chiba, our current Tuxedo Mask.  So Reeny had to grow up much quicker than most other girls her age.  It doesn't help when you have Prince Diamond and the Wiseman after you either.  Even in her young life, Reeny has been able to show great amounts of courage and commitment to a cause, and helping her mother and her future is always the first thing that comes to her mind.
