One day, while Mamuro and Usagi were out on a date in the park, a kiss was interrupted when a little girl with poofy pink hair landed on top of Usagi! The little girl turned and demanded the Ginoushoui (sp?)(pulling a gun on her was convieniently left out of the dub). Startled, both asked if she had lost her Mommy, and if she herself was lost. Usagi also accused the girl of stealing her hairstyle, but the girl replied that the hairstyle was her mother's. Although she was convinced Usagi had the crystal, she bounced off, her toy ball with a cat face on it floating behind her. Little did Usagi expect that when she got home, there was the same child, but this time with her family insisting she was their cousin Rini, who'd visited them last year. She even had pictures to prove it! Unconvinced, she went to Rei's temple to see if she could see anything in the fire. The reading that came out said either nothing was wrong, or that it was completely bogus. At a loss, Usagi tried to think the situation over. But the girl overheard their surmises, and decided to try and convince them of her new role as well. She ran into Rei's grandpa and when he turned his attention to him, she turned her cat ball into a bottle of milk.. only it didn't hold milk, but a brainwashing potion. She put the potion in the girls' tea, and gave some to Grandpa so he wouldn't remember the encounter. Then she served the girls in the guise of Grandpa. While the other girls drank their tea, Serena ate all the muffins, but didn't drink. Because of this, she saw all her friends pass out. She quickly struck and grabbed Chibi Usa, who was just outside the door. (Although the English dub doesn't show it, at this point, she actually spanks Chibi Usa after grabbing her.) At this, Chibi Usa cried out, a crescent moon appeared on her forehead and sent out a very powerful ray of light energy. This attracted the new enemy, who seem to have appeared at the same time as Chibi Usa. As time goes on, Chibi Usa gets into more and more trouble, with the Sailor Senshi having to come get her out of it because of her penchant for running off by herself. Then she discovers that Usagi really does have the Silver Crystal(can't spell it in Japanese), and tries to run off with her transformation brooch, but she is apprehended, and the brooch returned. She reveals that she is here on a mission, and must find the Silver Crystal and her mother in the past to help save her family in the future. But Sailor Moon and the other Senshi don't know if they can trust her, after hypnotising Usagi's family and knocking them out. Then the Akayashi Sisters are turned good, and Rubeus must come up with a plan of his own. He kidnaps the Sailor Scouts and holds them captive in his spaceship. But Sailor Moon and Chibi Usa come to the rescue, with Chibi Usa disturbing the power of the crystal powering Rubeus's ship, so that it explodes, freeing the Senshi and destroying the vehicle with Rubeus in it. You might think things would be quiet after that, but the adventures continue for the small girl. Her dreams are invaded by a creature from the Black Moon who almost takes over her mind, but with the help of the other Senshi, the demon is banished. Later on, when the rest of the Inners are sick, Chibi Usa helps Minako take care of them.. and messes up just as much as her partner does! ^_^ Things come to a head when Chibi Usa's school is taken over by the Black Moon Family.. including her new friend, Moomo-chan (I think). She goes to school like usual after being sick, but everyone is fighting! She hides until Sailor Moon and the others get there, but then when they are cornered, Momo-chan gets hurt. Filled with sadness and anger, Chibi Usa lashes out at the servants of the Black Moon, Doom and Gloom(sounds familiar. . . Day of Destiny. . . ), who have been causing the trouble, weakening them slightly. It is this incident that makes Chibi Usa decide that now is the time to go back to the future.. with her new friends and protectors in tow. But the secret of who her parents are stays a mystery (as if everybody hadn't already figured it out). Chibi Usa leads the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen into the Time Tunnel, guarded by the mysterious Senshi, Sailor Pluto (my fav). Pluto, or Puu as Chibi Usa calls her, lets them through into the future. What greets them is destruction and chaos, the whole of Crystal Tokyo having been decimated. Chibi Usa runs toward the palace, and the Senshi lose sight of her. But they are greeted by a man in a purple, royal-looking tuxedo, who takes them into the palace. Inside, the Senshi find out that Chibi Usa is the future daughter of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen, who will become Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion. Needless to say, they are all shocked! Neo Queen Serenity cannot be awakened. Sailor Moon even uses the Silver Crystal to help bring her back, but the Queen doesn't even stir. Heartbroken that her heroes and friends can't help her Mom, Chibi Usa runs out of the palace to a deserted playground. She sits on a swing and thinks back to the attack that hurt her mother, and feelings of guilt and discouragement well up inside her. Taking advantage of this, Wiseman appears before her. He tells the girl that her friends blame her for the destruction. Chibi Usa doesn't understand until Wiseman draws a memory out of her subconscious. She had always wanted to be a lady like her mother, but the day of the attack, she had knocked over a vase and been scolded that she would never be a lady if she kept being so clumsy. Determined to become a lady then and there, she went into her mother's bedroom and used Luna-P to open the glass case which held the Silver Crystal. The little girl held the gem in her hands for a moment.. but then it disappeared! Chibi Usa panicked, and had no idea what to do. Wiseman sees all of this and knows the Crystal is inside of her, but he doesn't tell her that. All he says is that her friends know she took the Crystal, and so she's to blame. He conjures images of the Senshi, Neo Queen Serenity, and King Endymion blaming her. The tiny girl cringes, begging them to forgive her.. it was an accident! Wiseman plays into this, saying how cruel they are to blame her. Then, he brings up some of Chibi Usa's old memories. The first is during a rainy day while walking with her parents. She started chasing after a frog, but slipped and fell on the wet sidewalk. With tears in her eyes, she begged to be helped up. But her parents would not help her and told her to get up herself. Wiseman told her they were mean parents who did not love her because they would not help her. Next was a memory of one birthday. She was all alone because her parents were away on a trip, and the Senshi all said they were too busy to do anything with her, even though it *was* her birthday. Again, she was alone and unloved. Wiseman encouraged her, saying that she deserved better than that, and they should pay for making her so hurt and lonely. The slight bitterness that had been raging inside Chibi Usa welled up and she accepted the power of the Dark Crystal. The crystal transformed her, giving her adult form. The Wiseman then gave her the title Black Lady, since she was no longer "Small" Lady, and now a member of the Black Moon family. Wiseman presents the newest helper to Prince Demando, saying how she used to be Small Lady, but is now grown-up, and full of Dark energy. Demando is fairly pleased, and the two go to prepare the Dark Crystal for the invasion of the past. Black Lady encounters the Senshi again in the past, having gone back to aid Demando in planting and helping the Dark Crystal grow. At first, none of the Sailors recognize her, but then a battered Luna-P beeps and floats up to her. Black Lady hugs her toy close, saying how it's her only friend. The crescent moon on the ball turns dark, and is now ready to use as a weapon. The villaness turns Luna-P into an umbrella and sends dark waves of energy out at the Senshi. Sailor Moon and the others won't fight her, because they know she is really Chibi Usa. Sailor Moon opens her locket and uses the power of the Silver Crystal to help Chibi Usa remember what had *really* happened in her memories. The one that appears is the day of her birthday. The senshi had walked away from her, saying they had things to do, but the little girl ran down the main hallway and into the ballroom, looking for someone to talk to, or maybe celebrate with. She entered the darkened room and it lit up! Inside were her mother and father, and all the Sailor guardians! They explained the reason they couldn't be with her earlier was because they were preparing the party, and the King and Queen had come back especially to be there. Her sense of loneliness shaken, she started to transform back and forth between her younger form, and the body of Black Lady. She didn't know which to believe. Wiseman interfered, saying that what she was remembering just now was a lie.. there was no one there that day! Convinced that the Wiseman is telling the truth, she comes out of her trance and tells the senshi that their plan failed, and she now knows the real truth. She then returned to the Black Moon. From that day on, she plans to rule the future along with Prince Demando. The two plot together, Black Lady wondering what her next task in the domination of Earth will be. It isn't long in coming. Saffir, Demando's brother, steals the energy chip from the Black Crystal control room. Black Lady is sent after him, and again, she meets up with the Senshi. This time, she's even more adept with her new weapons. She first shoots out beams of dark energy from a mirror, then fans a tidalwave of the same evil force in their direction. As a finale, she turns the fan into a tennis racket and birdies. She shoots them, spinning them through the air and creating black domes of power, trapping the Senshi. The birdies are destroyed, however, by Tuxedo Kamen's rose, and she is about to take care of Saffir when Wiseman steps in and does it himself. Her task completed, she goes back to her "home" once more. Her final battle comes as the final gate between the past and present Dark Crystals is being completed. She appears before the Senshi, who have come to stop the plan. She gloats over them for a while, basking in the power of the evil Crystal, and then tries to electrocute Sailor Moon. Tuxedo Kamen steps between them just in time, taking the hit himself. Black Lady is confused.. why did he do that? The Senshi explain it's because the two love each other, and that is what love is all about.. protecting the one you care about. There is some kind of echo in her heart as the senshi and her future parents repeat how much *they* love *her*, and that she's never been alone, no matter what Wiseman has said. She wavers, and Wiseman gives her another boost of power. Lashing out with dark wind, she tells them what liars they all are. The attack goes on, until Sailor Moon uses her Silver Crystal.. and Neo Queen Serenity comes to aid her by lending her power to Sailor Moon's, and to talk to her daughter. The sight of her mother disturbs Black Lady. Neo Queen Serenity takes her back to the time of the other twisted memory. She explains that the reason she and King Endymion didn't help Small Lady up was because she wasn't hurt, and needed to learn how to do things herself. It wasn't because they didn't love her. It was because they were teaching her self-reliance.. due to the fact that they love her. Confused, Black Lady holds her head. She is completely torn, not knowing who or what to believe, since Wiseman is now telling her not to accept any more lies. At a loss, she blasts dark power at the senshi, her mother, and Tuxedo Kamen. Again and again she sends explosions of Dark Crystal energy raining down. Through it all, Neo Queen Serenity pleads with her to remember the true, good times the little girl had with her friends, the Sailor Senshi, both in the future and the past. Memories flash through her mind, topped off by an image of her smiling, loving mother. The truth topples the hate and loneliness that has been eating away at her, and she finally realizes that she is loved. She embraces her mother, happily proclaiming through tears that she always has been loved, and never alone. She reverts back to Small Lady, or Chibi Usa as her friends call her, now being held in Sailor Moon's arms. After Chibi Usa is restored to herself, she discovers that she's had the future Silver Crystal all along.. when she touched it in the future, it didn't disappear, it had become a part of her. That was the reason she had been sent on the mission in the first place, to find the past Silver Crystal, since she lost the future Silver Crystal, and it was needed to fight the Black Moon. Sailor Moon was already fighting against the Black Crystal, and Chibi Usa saw her begin to weaken. At a loss, and convinced it was all her fault, she began to cry. From her tears formed the Silver Crystal of the future! She used her Silver Crystal to help in the fight so Usagi wouldn't die from using so much energy, even though it could mean her death as well. Together, the two defeated the Black Moon. The battle is won, so Chibi Usa must return to her home in the future. She says good-bye to her new friends in the past, and uses her Time Key to take her home forever.. or so we think.
