Profile: In 2007, Walker's business had hit an all-time low. Gone were the days of the UGoI, gone were the days of Freebird, and most of his time was him by himself running things. That is until the appearance of Donavon de la Cruz. The fact that she looked exactly like someone of previous romantic interest to Walker, Raven, had more than caught his attention. At first, he thought it was just Raven with memory loss, they'd been so similar! But Dona was a Vampire Hunter with a shakey past and a lot of bitterness and anger, who knew little of companionship and had her whole life taken out from under her. Their comparable personality traits and lifestyles caused an instant bond between Walker and Donavon.

Deciding to run the business together, joining their expertise in Vampire hunting (among other things), both variously attempted to stop the evil depredations of various villainry, including the returning villain Rhine from Walker's past. Although Rhine would have been easy to deal with should she done real combat, she was a hit-and-run expert and had many followers, not the least of which would be Elranda Llelyn. After this appearance, powerful psychic visions propelled Donavon to want to return to her homeland, and reunite with her Prince. Feeling obligated to help the one he loved, Walker took them to the Carpathian Mountains and entered a society that begrudged any Carpathian choosing a mate that wasn't one of them. When they arrived, a crucial turning point was made.

Finding out her brother's true origins, that he'd been her ex-lover and arch-enemy Arturro (who she hated because she thought HE killed her brother), she instead learned she was of Carpathian royalty, and that her mom was a powerful Psion like she was--only more so. With her mother's final present to her, an amulett with her soul into it, Donavon was despaired, but resigned herself to finishing Arturro once and for all. Around this time, however, Rhine made another strike on Dona, and believing the amulett to be a last-ditch one-time-only weapon. She intended to reserve it for Arturro, but felt she had no choice but to use it early. Very nearly killing Rhine outright, it turned out to be quite the opposite however, as when the amulette was used, it caused Dona's mother's spirit to fuse with her daughter, granting her tremendous power.

This gave Donavon many more supernatural senses in addition to other physical powers, including the power of raw empathy--not to feel, but to experience everyone else's emotions until she could control it. But the new power overwhelmed her, giving her bipolar mental disorders, and reducing her deranged delusions. Her personality changed from a badass Vampire hunter that couldn't be moved to an emotional fountain of conclusion-jumping and loopiness. She got more and more difficult to handle, before she suddenly up and left Walker for several months. When she returned, she saw a returned Raven--the girl Walker mistook her for when they first met, and that she indeed both looked exactly like Donavon, and indeed she still had feelings for Walker.

Drawing up a conclusion from Walker and Donavon's previous fights due to her straining relationship with him perpendicular to her bipolar breakdowns, she felt Walker must have no longer had feelings for her and must have liked this far more stable version of her instead--this Raven--and disappeared with the intention of never seeing him again. This lasted until Rhine located Donavon quite by accident, and she offered to recruit the girl to her side, citing she should feel betrayed by Walker. She offered fertility, something that Donavon's race was in dire need of due to their slow extinction from a lack of being able to produce children, and with bitterness left in her, Donavon's paranoia would eventually cause her to join Rhine's side, causing Walker to end their relationship.

When Donavon learned that Walker hadn't lost his romantic interest for her until that moment, she turned her purpse for staying with Rhine to finding out all that she could of her plans and to warn Walker. When Rhine informed her that the twins inside of Donavon were actually Rhine's children too, and that they would be born serving Rhine's ultimate goal of world destruction, Donavon broke off treaties and ran to Walker's aid. Together, they were able to remove the children from her before they were born to save her (although they survived later on to attack him), and Donavon left again once more, resigning to try and find her original self and return to the stubborn, independent warrior Walker had grown to love. She has yet to ever be seen again, although rumor has it she is currently stuck somewhere in torpor.

Personality: Nasty as all get out, though having Arturro as a brother explains a lot. Twisted sense of honor allows her to justify anything she does as long as it succeeds. Gets along just fine with anyone who does exactly as she tells them. She may treat them like dirt, but she doesn't really mean harm by it. Donavon is very much like her brother, pre turning evil, but without the sense of honor or aloofness that he has. Donavon has no scruples about using, paralysis gas, poison, nails, or any type of means possible to get what she wants. Donavon is very determined about winning her darling Walker away from his memory of Abby. It has been said her actions border on insanity, but "eccentric" seems to be a better adjective to describe her.

A truly evil and backstabbing character, though in the comedic sense. Donavon is, to put it diplomatically, a nut job. Insofar as her symptoms resemble those of a real mental illness, she seems to suffer from schizophrenia: She sees things that don't exist, ignores things that do, and generally seems 'not all there.' This makes her behavior erratic (thus it counts as a Psychological Disadvantage) but it doesn't seem to affect her sense of self-preservation. Despite her apparent frailty and eccentricity, Donavon is just as capable as any other Vampire, and is in fact more dangerous than most -- as half the time, not even she knows what she's going to do next.

Ghost Walker's Comments (Spoilers, misc. details)

Strengths: Donavon knows the philosophy behind her style of fighting very well: anything can be used as a weapon. Donavon has a talent for making gases, poisons, and other underhanded items, and uses these to her advantage. She has truly extended her array of weapons beyond the basic Vampire Hunter ones. Also known to be quicker among the fighters. Though some may say her psychotic nature hinders her, it can be argued that it helps her in a fight, enabling her to fight without fear of holding back. Donavon is a very underhanded fighter. She seems to have no moral scruples whatsoever, and many an opponent is caught off guard by her whip of mystical fire, her poisoned food, and her many hunter's weapons. Being a hunter, she is very athletic and agile, and will use this to her advantage in combat. Using her many weapons, she can keep most opponents at a distance, striking at them as frequently as she wants without having to worry about them being close enough to hurt her in return. In addition to this, her laugh has been known to inspire fear in even the most disciplined martial artists.

Weaknesses: It seems that most of the females in love with Walker get distracted by him, and Donavon is no exception. She is easily distracted by the presence of Walker, and his presence sometimes makes her forget entirely that she's fighting. Like her brother, she also seems a little too overconfident in her skill. Her tricks also sometimes backfire on her. Her bare-handed fighting style is practically non-existent, since Vampire Hunting, as a profession, dissuades the use of one's own hands to attack an opponent. Although Donavon's supply of weapons never seems to end, she, like her brother, does not have a great deal of fighting skill without them. If an opponent were to get in to close range with her, weapons like the whip would be ineffective, and if they managed to disarm her, she would have almost no offensive capability. In addition to this, if an opponent is familiar with her cheater's ethics and dirty tricks, she will lose a lot of the surprise advantage that she usually enjoys.
