Where to Get PQ Angels?

It is sometimes hard to find the shoujo manga magazine, Nakayosi, which carries PQ Angels. It's often unavailable in small towns (at least it is in mine). Here are some places that PQ Angels can be found!

  • First of all, you gotta know that PQ Angels is featured in the September to December 1997 issues of Nakayosi. So if PQ Angels is all that you want, make sure you buy one of those issues!

  • Nakayosi can be ordered at The Place. However, I recommend buying it elsewhere because it is $13.50 a copy American plus shipping, tax, etc. Pricy pricy pricy! I only recommend ordering it here if you live in the Arctic miles and miles from anywhere -_-

  • Comic Fans, the Hong Kong (Chinese) edition of Nakayosi, seems to be a little more available than its Japanese counterpart. PQ Angels can be found in it! Here, the super-great Ming S. Chan shares locations in Toronto, Canada, that Comic Fans can be found:

There are a couple of places for you to start with in Toronto. I hope that you will visit the stores at the beginning of the month though - if you visit near the end it's almost certainly sold out.

    1. W.Y. Trading Co. (prounced "Wah Yue" in Cantonese) Market Village (corner of Steeles Ave. and Kennedy Road up north, right at the Toronto/Markham city border) This stores sells all kinds of magazines, books, and especially CDs. It's inside the main Market Village building, across from the Chinese Cinema when you walk towards the back. If they have Comic Fans, they usually put it on top of the centre shelf right in front of the entrance.

    2. W.Y. Trading Co. 456 Dundas St. W., Downtown Chinatown Another branch of W.Y., located in the downtown Chinatown, east of the always busy Spadina/Dundas intersection.

    3. Hello (Cantonese name of the store is "Dai Dat Day") Chinatown Centre, 222 Spadina Ave., downtown Chinatown, slightly south of the Spadina/Dundas intersection (I can't recall whether "222" is the exact street number) Hello is now located in basement (foodcourt) level of Chinatown Centre (it's used to be on the main floor near the escalators.) I bought most of my issues at Hello. Their location is getting smaller and smaller after a few moves in the last couple of years - I wonder how long they will last.

    4. Lovers' Music World Corner of Finch Ave. and Midland Ave. in Scarborough (up north) This store is the big CD stores within the mall at the Finch/Midland corner. They have a big selection of CDs, in particularly Video CDs. The magazine rack is on the right-hand-side of the main entrance, and you might be able to find an odd issue there.

I hope to be going to Toronto soon, so I will most certainly utilize the info here in hunting down PQ Angels!

  • Next, Angee-chan gives us advice on where to find Nakayosi in Dallas, Texas!

I know a location where people can get Nakayosi. Keith's Comics on Mockingbird Lane in Dallas, Texas. I don't know the exact address, but if they are in the area they can find out in a phonebook. I know that they tend to get 2 Nakayosi per month, one is reserved for me! ^_~ The other usually sells as well, but if you live in the area I'm sure they'd order and reserve an extra copy for you. Also they cost $6.99. Hope that helped a little! ***unquote***

If you have info on where to find Nakayosi, Comic Fans, or other PQ Angels stuff, please send it in and I will post it on this page to help others!
