Akane Tendo is one of the main characters in Ranma 1/2. She's strong, tomboyish, and is always seen beating up Ranma in almost every episode. Still she's his fiancee and is often times the object being fought for in many of Ranma's duels. She's first seen in the very first television episode and takes a new look later after getting her hair acidentally cut by one of Ryoga's sharp projectiles. Although she has feelings for Ranma she'd never admit them.
Akane Tendo is 16 years old and ends up being Ranma's fiancee against both her and his will. She was however nominated by her sisters as being the fiancee for Ranma since she happened to hate boys but lucky her Ranma happened to be half girl. Ranma and Akane are always seen fighting, arguing, and throwing insults at each other. Usually it's Ranma throwing the insults and Akane throwing Ranma ;) But overall they don't get along too well yet they manage.
Unlike many of the other girls Akane is a bit more tomboyish. She's often dressed in her gi while working out and training when not in school. She breaks bricks, lifts weights, and beats up boys including Ranma. Ranma in turn calls her "uncute" and considers her his "uncute fiancee" among the rest. Even so she's the one most guys are trying to steal away from Ranma. As for Ranma, many girls are also trying to steal him away from her so she has to often fight them for Ranma.
When it comes to cooking, Akane's cooking just doesn't cut it; it kills. Her cooking is horrible yet she tries hard and expects Ranma to try it. One of the reasons for her poor cooking comes from her inability to follow cooking instructions and her confusion of materials (like vinegar for white wine). Her skills also lack to other feminine acts such as sewing and she has no basic skills at Christmas Tree decorating. When it comes to combat, though, she excels in strength but lacks in technique. She doesn't know any special attacks and often times relies on brute strength to win.

Family:
She's the youngest of her sisters Nabiki and Kasumi and also lives with her father Soun.
Weapons/Skills:
She has no set weapons other than her fists but she'll throw and swing almost anything at Ranma; books, tea kettles, statues, tables, and everyone's favorite, mallets. She relies on martial arts and her strength but nothing fancy like special attacks.
