This is the day of reckoning. The moment of truth. Rukawa took a step towards the redhead who was glaring at him fit to kill.
"Hanamichi, I like you. More than a person feels for a friend," began Rukawa.
Brown eyes widened in surprise.
The fox-eyed boy continued, "I know this is a shock to you. I was shocked myself when I first realised my feelings for you."
Hanamichi was rendered speechless, his mouth gaping in amazement.
"Tell me that I'm not wasting my time. Tell me so that I won't be making a fool of myself."
"You already made a fool of yourself Rukawa," said Mitsui, his hands dribbling the ball.
"Jeez! Can't you wait till you're alone for this?" said Miyagi in disgust.
Akagi shook his head, "We have a new problem here."
"It's nothing that we can't handle, captain," consoled Ayako.
Kogure smiled, "She's right."
"Baka kitsune," grumbled Hanamichi, his face as red as his hair.
"Ho! Ho! Ho!" laughed Anzai-sensei.
