Ohayo gozaimasu, konnichi wa, konban wa, and oyasumi nasai... *grin* Hey, everyone's in different time zones, right? Anywayz, welcome to the FY Page... where Tamahome rocks. Well, he does. Anywayz... for those of you who are just checking FY out. I know that it gets frustrating when there's no info on the anime (trust me, I have experience with GW), here it is... well, what I know anywayz.. Fushigi Yuugi is a manga (and anime) created by Watase Yuu and has gotta be one of the best known and most popular mangas today. It is about a girl named Miaka and her best friend Yui are starting their first year at a prestigious high school. There, Miaka encounters a red bird resembling a phoenix. She follows it up to the old library. Yui, the smarter and more serious of the two, begins to read the ancient Chinese out of a book entitled the "Four Gods of Heaven And Earth" (or "Universe of the Four Gods" ???) that the phoenix enters. It is in this book that Miaka and Yui are transported to. Once there, Miaka and Yui encounter Tamahome (*peace sign*), but Yui gets taken back to the real world, where she continues to read from the book, finding out what happens to Miaka as time goes on. Stuck in Ancient China, Miaka meets many new characters who she discovers are to protect her. They are Tamahome, Hotohori, Nuriko, Chichiri, Tasuki, and Chiriko. They must protect the Suzaku no Miko or the priestess of Konan, Miaka. Unfortunately for Miaka, Yui gets transported back into the book and is pitted against her best friend. She is joined by Nakago, Soi, Amiboshi, Suboshi, and others whose names are unknown to me. Ready to check out more on Fushigi Yuugi?
